In a recent interview, former President Bill Clinton refused to apologize to Monica Lewinsky and even stated that he considers himself as a victim in the whole scandal.
Bill Clinton made the remarks in an interview on NBC saying that he wouldn’t do anything different during the scandal.
“If the facts were the same today, I wouldn’t [do anything different]” Clinton said. Bill Clinton got especially heated when the anchor, Craig Melvin, asked if he should have resigned. “I think I did the right thing,” Clinton said, “I defended the Constitution.”
Clinton also stated that he never apologized to Monica Lewinsky over the scandal.
“I did say, publicly, on more than one occasion, that I was sorry. The apology was public,” said Clinton, before stating that he did not owe Lewinsky an apology today.

Bill Clinton said that the affair cost him a lot of money, “Nobody believes that I got out of that for free. I left the White House $16 million in debt.”
In response to Bill Clinton’s comments, the President’s son, Don Jr. posted a tweet hitting the former President right where it hurts.
Did Bill Clinton just #metoo Monica Lewinsky??? I (almost) have no words… Props for always being ahead of the curve as the first male to publicly somehow claim victim-hood from his actions against women. Balsy! Stupid… but balsy!!! https://t.co/Fvn7Cp3OmP

Former President Bill Clinton was in a long term affair with Monica Lewinsky, who was a 22 year-old White House intern at the time, during his presidency.
Clinton lied about having an affair under oath and was eventually impeached for his lies.
Recently, high-profile women in the Democratic party have stated that Bill Clinton didn’t make the right decision and that he should have resigned.
