‘American Sniper’ Chris Kyle’s Wife Taya on School Shootings: Parents Need to Teach Children About Life’s Realities

Last Friday, s school shooting occurred at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas, where 10 people lost their lives and many others were wounded, marking it the 22nd school shooting of 2018, according to CNN. The Police identified the shooter as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, age 17, and has him in custody.

During these tragic moments in American history, “American Sniper” Chris Kyle’s wife, Taya Kyle, encouraged everyone to look towards themselves instead of more regulations or the government in an effort to curb gun violence.

Taya Kyle, whose husband was shot and killed, shared her thoughts on Facebook in a statement about how personal reflection can yield itself to finding a solution to the seemingly constant gun violence going on in the United States.

“Could you kill innocent people because you were angry or hurt?” she began.

Taya explained that she has heard some people say that if they had a gun in their car, they may kill someone out of road rage. She added that they already had a car, which can be also used as a weapon, but they didn’t use it to kill someone out of rage.

“You could kill someone. Why don’t you? Why don’t we do that when we are angry? When you are angry with people or a group of people why don’t you make a pipe bomb or an explosive out of a pressure cooker then plot, plan and kill people?”

She proposed the idea that when we find the answer as to “what stops” each of us from acting on that anger, “we will find more of what we need in this world.”

Taya stated that gun violence is a “human,” “moral,” and “values” issue and the influx in school shootings are “an attention-grabbing, cry for help, vengeance, out of control, no regard for submitting to the fallen world we live in, entitlement, expectations issue.”

The Santa Fe suspect reportedly targeted people who had wronged him in the past, including a 16-year-old girl who rejected his romantic advances.

“When did people grow up thinking they were so entitled to being free from pain that when they do feel it they feel someone else or a group of people should pay for it with their life?” she asked.

Taya continued, wondering, when people became “numb to write and wrong,” “stop caring for others more than themselves,” and that “their pain became more important than another human life.”

“Bureaucracy cannot fix the human spirit … This is you and me changing our ways and raising our children differently. This is you and me showing young people the world is hard at times, sometimes for a long time IN EVERY HUMAN LIFE. No one gets through this world without struggle.” she wrote.

Chris Kyle’s wife, Taya Kyle pointed out that it is very important for our children to be taught that “struggle is real” and “expected,” but also that they’re “capable of enduring in the face of adversity.”

“This is every single person in this country looking to themselves, not the government to fix this epidemic disregard for responsibility and human life,” she concluded.

President Trump Sends Powerful Message Of How Moms Are ‘America’s Strength’ in Heart-Warming Mother’s Day Address

This Sunday is a special day for many women in America. President Donald Trump wished Americans a happy Mother’s Day and shared a heartwarming message about how their “love and courage and devotion” has helped shape this great nation.

“Since the earliest days of our republic, America’s strength has come from the love and courage and devotion of our mothers,” said the President.

“They helped us gain our independence,” he continued. “Through their grit, determination and incredible spirit, they pioneered the West and settled the frontier. During World War II, America’s mothers helped build the greatest arsenal for democracy.”

Watch President Donald Trump’s Mother’s Day address on the video link bellow:

President Trump also shared some thoughts about his own mother Mary MacLeod, who sadly passed away in 2000.

“I learned so much from my mother,” President Trump said. “She was just incredible. Warm, loving, really smart, could be tough if she had to be, but basically she was a really nice person.”

“So much of what I’ve done and so much of what I’ve become is because of my mother,” he added. “I miss her a lot.”

President Trump’s message comes after first lady Melania Trump shared her thoughts on the holiday during a White House event honoring military mothers and spouses just few days ago.

“Mother’s Day, which is this Sunday, is celebrated just one time per year. I don’t know about all of you, but I think mothers should be celebrated each and every day,” said the First Lady before continuing:

“As a mother myself, I know what goes into raising a child. It takes an incredible amount of strength, a lot of time, a generous amount of patience, and all of our love. As moms, we are so incredibly privileged to be able to bring children into this world and be a part of helping them grow into adults.”

“Because of the powerful bond between a mother and her child, when they feel emotions, so do we – whether they are happy or nervous, sad or excited, we feel those things with them,” she concluded. “I think it is one of the most powerful and beautiful parts of motherhood.”

After 1 Date, Accused Woman Sent 65,000 Texts To Man And Said She Wanted To Bathe In His Blood

A woman from Phoenix stalked a man she met online after they went on one date. Paradise Valley, AZ – 31-year-old Jacqueline Claire Ades has been arrested for stalking a man she met on a dating website.

KTVK reported that after she had one date with him, she began sending the man up to 500 text messages a day, sending him more than 65,000 text messages. Police reports say that some of those messages were threatening.

Paradise Valley Police Department’s press release show that the incidents began in July of 2017, when the victim called police because Ades was sitting parked in front of his home.

Officers trespassed the woman and told her to leave, the police report said.

Later in December of 2017, the victim called police again about Ades sitting in front of his house, but she left before the police officers arrived.

Another press release said that the man called police again on April 8 to report that he’d seen Ades inside his home on his security cameras, which he was monitoring while on a trip out of the country.

When the police officers arrived at his home, they found Ades taking a bath and immediately arrested her. Police found a large butcher knife on the passenger seat of her car parked outside the victim’s home, KTVK reported.

Police said that she was charged with trespass to a residence, a felony, and released after her initial court appearance.

At that point, the victim spoke with the police again and told them that the text messages became threatening.

“Don’t ever try to leave me… I’ll kill you… I don’t wanna be a murderer!” Ades wrote in one of the messages, according to KTVK.

In additional messages, Ades told her victim she wanted to wear his body parts and bathe in his blood.

“I’d wear your fascia ‘n the top of your skull ‘n your hands ‘n feet,” she wrote. “Oh, what I would do w/your blood… I’d wanna bathe in it.”

On May 4, Ades showed up where the victim goes to work and claimed she was married to the owner, police reports say.

Scottsdale police officers responded after they were called to the scene and trespassed her from the business, sending her on her way.

After they realised who Ades was, Paradise Valley officers started looking for the woman, and arrested her on May 8.

Jacqueline Claire Ades was charged with felony threatening and intimidating, felony stalking, and misdemeanor harassment.

When questioned by police, Ades said that she sent text messages to the victim all the time but he never responded to her. She told them that she didn’t want to hurt him because she loved him so much and threatened him so he would not leave.

Police report says that the victim was not in the U.S. when Ades was arrested but he told police he feared for his life when he returned.

Ades told police that she knew her text messages were crazy and that once released from prison, she would return to Florida.

Mother of Waffle House Victim Who Died Singing Gospel Receives Her Daughter’s College Diploma

This Saturday, Shirl Baker, the mother of DeEbony Groves, a young girl who was tragically shot and killed at a Waffle House in Tennessee, accepted her daughter’s college diploma during what would have been her graduation ceremony.

Robert Fisher, president of Belmont University, acknowledged the missing student during his commencement address on Saturday.

‘While our hearts were broken, today we have the chance to celebrate DeEbony’s life together,’ he said for News Channel 5.

In a powerful moment, amidst her grieving, Shirl Baker walked across the stage and on her behalf of her daughter’s accepted the college degree.

The victims mother, Shirl Baker was not the only member of the family that walked across the stage.

Her brother, Di’Angelo Groves, was also graduating on Saturday. Instead of a moment shared with his sister, he wiped his tears away as the school announced a scholarship in his sister’s honor.

One week earlier, during DeEbony’s funeral Waffle House CEO Walt Ehmer told the people attending that in her last moments, she was singing gospel songs.

‘And that’s the higher power that inspired the last reported words of DeEbony Groves as she and her friend were singing ‘Yes, Jesus Loves Me’ just before she departed that Waffle House for heaven’s gate,’ said Fisher in his commencement speech.

DeEbony Groves was shot and killed on April 22 at an Antioch Waffle House. Four people died in that incident, and four others were injured. Metro Police officers arrested Travis Reinking after a manhunt.

Waffle House Hero Went Straight To Church Just Hours After Saving Countless Lives

James Shaw Jr. was the brave unarmed man who wrestled away Travis Reinking’s AR-15, the gun that he used to shoot inside the Waffle House.

Recently he provided some insights into how he was healing from the traumatic experience in the waffle house.

Shaw revealed that he was having a very hard time dealing with the trauma, so the very next morning after the incident he went to the church.

Our favorite hero, James Shaw Jr. said that he went to the only place where he could heal mentally and spiritually.

‘I just went to church just so I could begin kind of like the healing process and kind of persevere through this situation,’ Shaw said. ‘And I just wanted to be around, you know, some love. My fraternal brothers came to support me. My family was there to support me. The church was there to support me.’

You can watch the video on the link bellow:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xJg3f6uJ8Y

‘It just felt good to be around a lot of love. I actually didn’t want to just be in the house alone or in the hospital. Or detained by the police just to give them statements or something like that,’ James added. ‘It just made sense for me to go to church.’

James Shaw isn’t just a man of faith, he is a true servant of the lord. After the terrible shooting where 4 people lost their lives, Shaw set up a GoFundMe to raise money for the victims’ families.

‘I am creating this page to help the families of the victims from the Shooting that took place at Waffle House in Antioch, TN. Please take the time to donate as all of the proceeds will be given to the families. Thank you again for your generosity and blessings,’ James states on the GoFundMe page.

The fund has reached more than $110,000 so far out of his original goal of $15,000.

You can all donate and help the families of the victims on THIS LINK. Thank you for this wonderful idea James, may god bless your soul and help you recover. We need more people like you in this world.

New Research Suggests Amazon Was Densely Populated In Areas Thought To Be Untouched By Humans

An 1800 kilometer stretch of Pre-Columbian settlements was discovered by researchers in the Amazon, witch means that the history of the region will soon be rewriten.

Nature Communications journal reported the discovery suggesting that areas of Amazonia previously thought to be completely free of human touch (at least prior to Spanish colonization) were in fact densely populated in the past.

Therefore, the role of human activity in shaping the environment must be seriously re-evaluated.

‘We model earthwork distribution in this broad region using recorded sites, with environmental and terrain variables as predictors, estimating that earthworks will be found over ~400,000 km2 of southern Amazonia.’

We conclude that the interfluves and minor tributaries of southern Amazonia sustained high population densities, calling for a re-evaluation of the role of this region for Pre-Columbian cultural developments and environmental impact.’ said the research team.

Jonas Gregorio de Souza of the University of Exeter, UK, made the finding using a combination of excavation, remote sensing and survey data to examine Upper Tapajós Basin landscapes.

Upper Tapajós Basin is an area of about 492,000 square kilometers in Brazil and it accounts for around 7% of the Amazon basin.

This type of area has been largely ignored by archaeologists, de Souza and his colleagues explain, because of “traditional views that Pre-Columbian people concentrated on resource-rich floodplains”.

This assumption has now been proven to be very wrong. Citing earthworks such as ditched enclosures, the researchers confidently identify about 81 settlements along tributaries and interfluvial zones, dating them between approximately 1250 and 1500 CE.

The research team estimated that a similar population density existed during the period across about 400,000 square kilometers of southern Amazonia.

These incredible finds provide new evidence that link Pre-Columbian populations across the Amazon basin from east to west, suggesting that many different cultures and language groups are interconnected despite “a diversity of traditions and socio-political trajectories”.

The team dismissed the standard idea that holds Pre-Columbian society to have been focused on major waterways, and show that there were also “parallel networks of complex societies” that formed regional systems as well.

Discoveries like these are of clear interest to every historian and archaeologists, also carry significant implications for biologists and ecologists.

Seems like the Upper Tapajós Basin is far from being untouched by human activity.

‘An understanding of the historical role of humans in shaping Amazonian landscapes, and to what extent these forests were resilient to historical disturbance, is critical to making informed policy decisions on sustainable futures,’ the researchers advise.

2 People Reported Dead After Tour Helicopter Crashed In Manhattan’s East River

A tour helicopter crushed into the East River in New York City on Sunday night, as reported by local authorities and news agencies. The Federal Aviation Administration reported that a Eurocopter AS350 helicopter crushed down in the river near Roosevelt Island at 7 p.m.

Here is a YouTube video of the red tour helicopter splashing down in the river and go belly-up as its rotors hack at the water.

Only two Eurocopter AS350’s are registered with the FAA in the area and both of them belong to the New Jersey parent company of tour operator Fly Liberty Charters, FAA records show. Fly Liberty was not available for comment at the moment.

Police reports say that at least two persons were killed and one was rescued from the water. Witnesses said that the pilot climbed out of the sinking helicopter and screamed for help.

‘There was about a minute where we didn’t see anyone come out, then after a minute we saw a man come out holding onto a raft screaming, ‘Help! help! Ah!’ and then inaudible screams… It was horrifying.’ said witness Brianna Jesme according to The New York Post.

Sources say that the pilot had called in a emergency to the La-Guardia Airport air-traffic control tower before crashing into the water.

Witness Mary Lee, age 66, told The New York Post that she saw the helicopter go down from her apartment window and said that she ‘immediately thought someone was in there and not going to live… it’s cold water, it was sinking really fast.’

‘By the time we got out here, we couldn’t see it. It was under water.’ she added.

The Federal Aviation Administration stated that ‘The helicopter reportedly is inverted in the water. Local authorities will confirm the number of people on board, their names and conditions’.

The probable cause of the incident will be determined by The National Transportation Safety Board after the search and rescue operation.

School Shooting Victim’s Father Slams The Media: It’s Not About Guns, It’s About Safety In Our Schools

We’ve all witnessed how mainstream media has put politics over the unfortunate children who died and their grieving families in the Florida school shooting.

Andrew Pollack is the father of Meadow Pollack, who was among the 17 individuals killed in the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Florida.

Pollack couldn’t just stand by and watch how the media makes everything about politics, and decided to put them on blast.

The grieving father went on Fox News Sunday and blasted the media for focusing on gun control and not the safety of our children in schools. He stated that gun control is a big issue in America and that polarizing these tragic events on that question won’t bring the American people together.

‘I just had to listen to you and Governor Scot polarizing this event and talking about gun control… Gun control is a big issue, no one in America is gonna come together on Gun control Chris, and you didn’t say one thing about fixing it.’

Andrew Pollack then stated that American people can get together on school safety and the security of our children. ‘The American people, we could get together on school safety… But when you and every other media polarize this event, we don’t care about gun control rite now, that’s a big issue on the country and you’re not going to get everyone together on it…’

‘But, we’re going to get everyone together on fixing our schools’ Pollack added.

He then continued to slam the media on how they use gun control to get more ratings ‘I’ve just listened to you and you didn’t mention one question to Gov. Scot about what are we gonna do about the security for our children and how will it be done… Instead you just talk about gun control that’s just gonna give you more ratings’

‘Today it’s not about guns, Its about the safety in our schools’ said Pollack. ‘My kid is not here because the schools weren’t safe, that’s the main thing’

At the end of the interview Andrew Pollack explained that ‘If you go into a court house, the judge is safe, they’re not worried if someone is coming in with a gun because they can’t get in with a gun.’

‘The American people just want their schools safe… We don’t wanna talk about guns rite now!’ said the grieving father.

He’s speaking the truth that the media won’t cover. It’s not about guns right now, it should be about protecting the schools. This is a True American – Every single one of us should be absolutely proud of this gentleman. His family (as well as all of the other families) need our prayers and support. He is fighting to protect our children – amidst his terrible pain. May God bless him and his family.
