A skeleton just crawled out from Michelle Obama’s closet and disgraced the people’s house in the process. The former first lady can be seen in the video below praising now-convicted rapist Harvey Weinstein from the White House.
You can also see another hypocrite, Whoopi Goldberg, behind Michelle in the back. Remember, the rumors about Harvey were widely known and even reported, so when Hillary, Michelle and Whoppi try to claim ignorance, it’s pretty hard to buy it.
The Daily Mail reported that Harvey Weinstein has been found guilty of raping and sexual assaulting two women – sealing his dizzying fall from powerful Hollywood studio boss to archvillain of the #MeToo movement.
The disgraced Hollywood producer was convicted by a New York jury on Monday of sexually assaulting former production assistant Mimi Haleyi in his apartment in 2006 and raping aspiring actress Jessica Mann in a hotel room in 2013.
Weinstein was acquitted of the two most serious counts of predatory sexual assault, which each carried a potential life sentence. He was also found not guilty of first degree rape in relation to Mann.
He now faces up to 29 years in prison on the two charges.
When the jury of seven men and five women handed down their verdict after five days of deliberations, Weinstein told his lawyer: “I’m innocent. I’m innocent. How can this happen in America?”
Six women testified at trial that he had sexually assaulted them, though Mr. Weinstein, 67, faces criminal charges in connection with only two of them. The others were allowed to testify to establish a pattern of behavior, The New York Times reported.
The indictment rests on the accusations of Miriam Haley, a former television production assistant who testified that Mr. Weinstein forced oral sex on her at his Manhattan apartment in 2006; and Jessica Mann, a former aspiring actress, who says he raped her in a Midtown Manhattan hotel room in 2013.
Ms. Mann and Ms. Haley both acknowledged that they continued to see Mr. Weinstein after the alleged assaults and later had consensual sex with him, testimony that complicated the prosecution’s case.
