MSNBC’s Joy Reid Declares Donna Brazile “Winner Of Week” For Telling RNC Chairwoman To “Go To Hell”

During her MSNBC show yesterday, Joy Reid declared Donna Brazile the Winner of the Week for having told RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel to “go to Hell.”

Joy Reid was absolutely thrilled by Donna Brazile having dropped discourse down to middle-school-taunt level.

“For defending your party in the most blunt terms, on Earth-2, Donna Brazile, you win the week,” Reid said.

“Earth-2,” by the way, is Reid’s term for Fox News Channel, where Brazile, an FNC contributor, made her sullen suggestion. Personally, I find “MSLSD” funnier.

Brazile would not get a happy look from her Catholic priest for saying “Go to Hell” to another person. She loves to joke about her church/work dichotomy: “You know I’m a little Catholic girl. You know, I cuss and I go to church every Saturday or Sunday, say: ‘bless me, Father, I have sinned.’ I try, okay?”

Here is part of the transcript:

JOY REID: It was certainly fun. Let me show you my “Who Won The Week” person. We’ve been talking about Jesse Jackson today. Remember what were called the Colored Girls. These were young women at the time who were fighting for Jesse Jackson to try to make him President of the United States. They went on to be luminaries in the Democratic party.

Now, one of them, one Donna Brazile, had an encounter with the head of the Republican National Committee, Ronna—let’s remind me, Romney—McDaniel. And here it is, talking about the party. Here it is.

RONNA MCDANIEL: It’s leading towards potentially a brokered convention which will be rigged against Bernie if those super delegates have their way on that second vote.

SANDRA SMITH: To that you say what, Donna?

DONNA BRAZILE: Ronna, go to Hell!

ED HENRY: [gasps] Whoah!

BRAZILE: No, go to Hell! I’m tired of it, Ed. We are not trying to prevent anyone from becoming the nominee. If you have the delegates and win, you will win.

REID: For defending your party in the most blunt terms, on Earth-2, Donna Brazile, you win the week.
