Pelosi Responds To POTUS Having COVID-19, Says His Behavior “Was Sort Of a Brazen Invitation For Something Like This To Happen”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on MSNBC where she reacted to President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump testing positive for COVID-19.

“This is tragic. It’s very sad.” Nancy Pelosi said.

“But it also is something that, again, going into crowds unmasked and all the rest was sort of a brazen invitation for something like this to happen.”

The House Speaker added “Maybe now that people who see the president of the United States, with all the protection that he has, and the first lady still having this exposure, it might be, as you say, a learning experience.”

“But more than learning, it has to be something that is acted upon,” she said.

President Trump stated that he and the first lady have contracted COVID-19, saying: “We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”

The president is 74 years old and his health records earlier this year showed he is categorized as obese, putting him at higher risk of serious complications from the virus.
