Queens Judge Removes Ocasio-Cortez From Ballot – Didn’t Get Enough Signatures For Progressive Party Primary

It may seem as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a darling of the far-left, but her chances at re-election aren’t as solid as she thinks.

AOC’s two years in Congress haven’t been stellar. She even cost New York a big deal with Amazon.

Now it seems like her own progressives might be turning on her. Because a judge just removed her from a ballot.

Fox News reported that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was booted from the progressive union-backed Working Families Party (WFP) ballot line by a Queens judge…

The freshman lawmaker was removed from the primary ballot after receiving only 13 signatures from members of the progressive group.

AOC is running against a hot new Democratic rival. Every vote counts. If her name appeared more than once on the ballot (both under Democrat and WFP) she could count all those votes.

But she couldn’t even get 15 progressives to sign her petition. This is a party that backs unions. This tells a lot.

Now, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez faces a popular, moderate rival who just might take her nomination. Wouldn’t that be something?
