Nancy Pelosi Claims She Will ‘Pray’ For President Trump After He Slammed Democrats In Surprise Presser

On Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that she intends to pray for President Trump following a surprise press conference he held demanding Democrats quit investigating him.

President Trump cut short a scheduled infrastructure meeting with the Dems this afternoon after Nancy Pelosi alleged this morning that President Trump is involved in a “cover-up.”

Trump claimed he would not continue negotiating an infrastructure deal until the Dems stopped their sweeping investigations into his administration and alleged collusion with Russia.

Pelosi stated in a press conference that President Trump may have had a “lack of confidence” in negotiating the deal and suggested he used her remarks about a “cover-up” as an excuse to avoid the meeting.

“Maybe it was lack of confidence on his part that he really couldn’t match the greatness of the challenge that we have — wasn’t really respectful of the Congress and the White House working together. He just took a pass,” Pelosi said.

“It just makes me wonder why he did that. In any event, I pray for the President of the United States.” She continued.

“We went in the spirit of bipartisanship to find common ground with the president. He came into the room, made a statement — I won’t even characterize it,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said.

This was the second meeting related to infrastructure after the Dems and President Trump tentatively reached a $2 trillion deal last month. Last night, President Trump sent a letter to Nancy Pelosi and Schumer asking them to ratify the USMCA before passing an infrastructure bill.

Nancy Pelosi Claims That Democrats Never Said There Wasn’t a Crisis at The Border

With the southern border overwhelmed by illegal immigrants from Central America, resulting in a humanitarian crisis, Speaker Nancy Pelosi claims that the Democrat Party never denied that a crisis exists.

Pelosi was asked by a reported at her weekly press conference if, “after a number of months” of clamming that it was a manufactured crisis, Democrats are now willing to say there is an actual crisis at the border?

“Well, let me just say this. We’ve never not said that there was a crisis — there is a humanitarian crisis at the border, and some of it provoked by the actions taken by the administration,” Nancy Pelosi replied.

“So, what’s happening at the border is tragic, and we hope to address some of that in the supplemental that is coming, the disaster supplemental, to provide some of the resources that are needed there,” she added.

The California Democrat was sure to get her talking points in about how Trump’s administration is making things worse when they “take children out of the arms of their parents.”

This being the same program carried out under the Obama administration, as Nancy Pelosi sat idly by.

“But, yes, it is a crisis,” Pelosi added. “We’ve always said that it gets to be more of a humanitarian crisis the more that Republicans – the Administration, I won’t paint all the Republicans with this – the more the Administration acts in the shameful way, not consistent with our faith, with our beliefs that every person has dignity and worth.”

However, Nancy Pelosi stood right next to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer in January as he dismissed President Trump’s Oval Office address on the government shut down that focused on border security.

Schumer claimed that it was an effort to “stoke fear” among Americans and accused Trump of playing up a “manufactured crisis.” Nancy Pelosi claimed President Trump “must stop holding the American people hostage, must stop manufacturing a crisis.”

“Most presidents have used Oval Office addresses for noble purposes,” said Schumer in the televised rebuttal. “This president just used the backdrop of the Oval Office to manufacture a crisis, stoke fear, and divert attention from the turmoil in his administration.”

House Republicans shared many more examples of Democrats claiming there is no crisis:

“There is no crisis.” – Majority Leader Steny Hoyer

“There is no crisis on the border.” – House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler

“I’m from the border, there’s no crisis there.”  – Rep. Henry Cuellar

AG Barr Openly Mocks Nancy Pelosi At DC Event: ‘Did You Bring Your Handcuffs?’

On Wednesday, Attorney General Barr reportedly poked fun at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi as the two crossed paths at the annual Peace Officers Memorial Service at the U.S. Capitol.

AG Barr, as Fox News producer Jake Gibson reported, joked with the Democratic Party leader about the upcoming contempt vote and threats to put him in prison if he failed to comply with subpoenas that demand the full and unredacted Mueller report.

“Attorney General Bill Barr spoke to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in person today, after the National Peace Officers Memorial Service at the Capitol,” Gibson tweeted. “A source close to Barr says he asked Pelosi if she had brought her handcuffs. There was laughter but no word on Pelosi’s response.”

Another bystander tweeted on thhe subject and said that Pelosi noted that the House Sergeant-at-Arms was at the event “should an arrest be necessary,” to which AG Barr reportedly chuckled at before walking away.

“The Speaker, not missing a beat, smiled and indicated to the attorney general that the House sergeant-at-arms was present at the ceremony should an arrest be necessary. The attorney general chuckled and walked away.” He tweeted.

As previousley reported, one week age the House Judiciary Committee voted to hold AG Barr in contempt of Congress after he refused to show up to a House Judiciary hearing that had a provision in place to allow staffers to AG Barr questions during it, prompting a full House vote on the issue.

On Friday, House Judiciary Chairman Rep. Jerrold Nadler stated that lawmakers may consolidate different committee’s contempt citations into a single legislative package for the House to vote on.

GOP Lawmaker Blasts Nancy Pelosi’s ‘Selfish’ Demand For Apology From Trump Over Tlaib’s ‘Sick Rewrite’ Of History

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s demand for Republicans to apologize to Rep. Rashida Tlaib after they criticized her comments regarding Palestinian response to the Holocaust has Rep. Lee Zeldin calling the speaker out for “making a selfish play call for her gavel.”

Rep. Lee Zeldin is a Republican Jewish lawmaker that is shooting back after Rep. Rashida Tlaib sparked an outrage for telling the Yahoo podcast “Skullduggery” that she get’s a “calming feeling” when she thinks of Palestinians creating a “safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust.”

The criticism that Rep. Tlaib’s received drew Nancy Pelosi’s apology demand from President Trump, who also condemned Rep. Tlaib, and House Republicans “for their gross misrepresentations,” as previously reported.

Jewish Congress member Lee Zeldin told The Hill that Rep. Tlaib’s comment is a “sick rewrite of what actually took place in history.” The Washington Examiner noted the misleading claims in the freshman congresswoman’s statement.

“I believe that the anti-Israel hate that’s infiltrated American politics and college campuses and the halls of Congress is wrong, that we should be doing more to identifying and crush it,” Zeldin said.

“And this tactic of promoting hate as a member of Congress, and immediately playing victim, accusing anyone who has a problem with your words and your hate and calling them racist, sexist or Islamaphobic even though they make no reference to your race, religion or gender is greatly disappointing and shocking. And the Speaker is making a play call, making a selfish play call for her gavel to not identify and confront and crush it and instead be led by the radical left because she doesn’t know how to lead it.” He continued.

The Congress member called out the Democrats alleged double standard when handling controversial remarks by members, saying Nancy Pelosi and top Democrat leaders would be “absolutely flipping out” if Rep. Tlaib were Republican.

“That’s all we would have been doing today on the floor, would have been condemning with speech after speech after speech from one Democrat after another, insane lighting their hair on fire, genuinely pissed off over what they heard. And the only reason why we’re not hearing it from them is because Tlaib happens to be a Democrat and not a Republican.” He added.

Nancy Pelosi’s spokesperson Drew Hammill swiped back at the Jewish lawmaker, telling The Hill, “With all due respect to the Congressman, he has absolutely no idea what he’s talking about.”

Lee Zeldin was a vocal critic of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s controversial remarks on Israel following the passing of a House resolution in March to condemn anti-Semitism and other hate that did not name Omar.

“It is an American value, by the way, to have reasonable, legitimate criticism of a government,” Zeldin said at the time, following his vote against the resolution. “Whether it be the U.S. government, Israel, or any other government. It is not an American value, though, to be hurling anti-Semitic rhetoric.”

Pelosi Finally Calls For An Apology For Tlaib’s Comments, But Not From Her – From President Trump

Speaker Nancy Pelosi finally demanded an apology surrounding the Holocaust comments said by Rep. Rashida Tlaib, only she wants the apology to come from President Trump.

As previously reported, Rep. Tlaib faced backlash after she made several misleading claims about the Palestinian response to the Holocaust.

Rep. Tlaib is the first Palestinian-American woman in Congress and she claimed that thinking of the Holocaust gave her a “calming feeling” because Palestinians created a “safe haven” for Jews following the horrific events in Europe. She was called out by many who noted that Palestinians regularly attack Israel and sided with Hitler during the genocide.

Many top Republicans, including President Trump, went on social media and condemned Rep. Tlaib for her “lies” and “insensitive” comments.

“Democrat Rep. Tlaib is being slammed for her horrible and highly insensitive statement on the Holocaust. She obviously has tremendous hatred of Israel and the Jewish people. Can you imagine what would happen if I ever said what she said, and says?” tweeted President Trump.

“Here we go again: another anti-Semitic remark from another member of the Democrat Party. Rep. Tlaib’s hateful rhetoric has no place in the public discourse. When will Speaker Pelosi take a stand?” Kevin McCarthy tweeted.

While Republicans called on Democratic leadership to address Tlaib’s remarks, Nancy Pelosi and House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer instead demanded an apology from Republicans for trying to “misrepresent” the congresswoman’s comments.

“Republicans’ desperate attempts to smear @RepRashida & misrepresent her comments are outrageous. President @realDonaldTrump & House GOP should apologize to Rep. Tlaib & the American people for their gross misrepresentations.” posted Pelosi.

While Steny Hoyer and Nancy Pelosi clearly think that Rep. Tlaib’s comments were misrepresented and taken out of context, they failed to explain what they think she really meant.

Here you can read Tlaib’s full statement: “There’s, you know, there’s kind of a calming feeling I tell folks when I think of the Holocaust, and the tragedy of the Holocaust, and the fact that it was my ancestors — Palestinians — who lost their land and some lost their lives, their livelihood, their human dignity, their existence in many ways, have been wiped out, and some people’s passports and just all of it was in the name of trying to create a safe haven for Jews, post-the Holocaust, post-the tragedy and the horrific persecution of Jews across the world at that time. And I love the fact that it was my ancestors that provided that, right, in many ways. But they did it in a way that took their human dignity away and it was forced on them.”

Many Americans agreed with President Donald Trump that claiming the Holocaust can have a “calming feeling” is “insensitive.” And even CNN’s John King broke down the historical inaccuracies perpetuated by Rep. Tlaib, noting that the Palestinians did not support a “safe haven” for Jews following the Holocaust.

Many Americans who agreed with the Republican leadership on Rep. Tlaib’s comments took to social media to call out Nancy Pelosi for her apology demands.

It’s clear that the issue of anti-Semitism is going to be a continued controversy in Congress when both sides can’t come to an agreement on the historical atrocities of the Holocaust.

Pelosi In Hot Water After Zeldin Blasted Her ‘Horrible Judgment’ For Inviting Anti-Israel Imam To Give Opening Prayer

New York Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin slammed Speaker of the House Rep. Nancy Pelosi clamming that she showed her “horrible judgment” when she invited a Texas imam, who previously compared Israel to the Nazis, to give the opening prayer last week at the House of Representatives.

On Sunday, while giving an interview with “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Zeldin, who first took office in 2015 and is Jewish himself, went after Nancy Pelosi for inviting Texas Imam Omar Suleiman to give the House’s opening prayer, torching her move and pointing out that Suleiman’s comparison of “Israel to Nazis” should’ve been a cue for the Dems to “find another imam.”

“Either the Speaker’s office did not vet this imam at all, or worse, they did vet the imam and then decided that it would have been okay for the imam to come onto the floor of the House of Representatives anyway.” he said.

“Let’s just say all you found is that he compares Israel to Nazis, that would be enough to tell that member or other members of that caucus ‘how about you find another imam if you want to have an imam to give an opening prayer?’” He added.

Rep. Zeldin continued to say that the issues surrounding Suleiman that host Pete Hegseth “pointed out” previously, such as “comparing Israel to terrorists, calling for a third Palestinian intifada, or many posts on social media that are supportive of Muslim Brotherhood,” made Nancy Pelosi’s choice to give him the opening prayer “a bad call” as he blasted the House speaker as having “horrible judgment.”

“And after the 2019 that we’ve had so far, where members of their own caucus are pushing anti-Semitism and anti-Israel hate, it was bad judgment,” Zeldin added.

As Fox News reported, Suleiman had posted a few posts on social media supporting the “3rd Intifada” during the conflict between Israel and Hamas in 2014.

“God willing on this blessed night as the 3rd Intifada begins, the beginning of the end of Zionism is here. May Allah help us overcome this monster, protect the innocent of the world, and accept the murdered as martyrs.” the Imam wrote.

Rep. Zeldin’s remarks came after Nancy Pelosi introduced imam Suleiman to give the opening prayer of the House on Thursday. Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson had invited Suleiman to give the prayer.

WATCH: Nancy Pelosi Claims ‘Jails Will Be Overcrowded If We Start Arresting Trump Officials’

This Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joked about jailing Trump officials while speaking at a Washington Post Live event.

Robert Costa, WaPo reporter, asked Nancy Pelosi if she could hold Mnuchin in contempt after he refused to hand over President Trump’s tax returns.

The Dems have been gunning for President Trump’s taxes so they can selectively leak information to damage his reputation.

On Monday, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin formally rejected the Democrats request for President Trump’s tax returns, yet someone leaked the President’s tax documents to the New York Times anyway.

Now many far-left reporters are asking if Steve Mnuchin should be imprisoned for following the law — this is where we are as a country now.

“How far could you go on that front, Speaker Pelosi? Could you hold the Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin in contempt? “Robert Costa asked.

Some Democrats have even raised the prospect of arresting the Treasury Secretary if he does not comply with congressional demands,” he said.

“We do have a little jail down in the basement of the Capitol,” Nancy Pelosi said to the audience in laughter.

“But if we were arresting all of the people in the administration, we would have overcrowded jail situation and I’m not for that,” she continued.

Currently there is no law the dictates a US president/presidential candidate must release their tax returns, but the Dems don’t really care about laws — they just want to harass the President.

Since we are on the subject, why won’t Nancy Pelosi release her tax returns so Americans can see how she became one of the wealthiest members of Congress on a meager salary.

Nancy Pelosi and her husband have a combined net worth of more than $100 million.

Nancy Pelosi Vows That Democrats Will Respect Results Of 2020 Election If President Trump Wins – ‘That Is Not Who We Are’

This Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pledged that Democrats would respect the outcome of the next presidential election if President Trump was re-elected for a second term.

“Oh, I think we have to respect the vote of the people,” Nancy Pelosi claimed while addressing the audience at Cornell Club in New York.

“Winning an election is a decision,” she continued. “You decide you’re going to win, and therefore, you make every decision in favor of winning.”

President Trump notably refused to say if he would accept the 2016 election’s outcome, which sparked outrage among the left. However, since he won the presidency, Democrats have frequently contended that his win was not fair and that the election was stolen from his opponent Hillary Clinton.

“We respect the vote of the people,” Pelosi said. “I’m not sure that President Trump would have respected the vote of the [2018] election if we had won by a few seats, by a few votes — he would have challenged the whatever it is. But that’s not who we are. Yes, if he wins.”

Failed Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams also claims that she won her 2018 election, after losing by almost 50,000 votes. She conceded that she is not currently the governor of Georgia, but only because of racist voter suppression.

On Wednesday, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris echoed Abrams’ claims, saying that Abrams, along with failed Democratic Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, both “would be the governor” if their respective elections were fair.

There has been no evidence to support Harris’ or Abrams’ claims.

“We have to make a decision that [Trump’s] not going to win and that decision some times has an unease for some people who may want to go way in one direction or the not.,” said Pelosi. “But rather than saying we just have to win, true to our values, so that we can do so many good things for the American people.”

“But no, we have to respect the results of the election,” she added. “I don’t believe [Trump] would have.”

Pelosi Sends A Warning To Democrats That Trump Won’t ‘Respect’ Losing 2020 Election & May Refuse To Leave Office

Rep. Nancy Pelosi says she is warning her fellow Democrats that if President Trump is not defeated by a sizable margin in the 2020 presidential elections that he won’t respect the outcome and may refuse to leave office.

Mediaite reported that the newly crowned Speaker of the House has also been warning her colleagues to remain moderate on the campaign trail so that they don’t “play into Trump’s hands” and accidentally verify the Presidents claims that Democrats intend to move the country toward socialism.

“If we win by four seats, by a thousand votes each, he’s not going to respect the election,” Nancy Pelosi told The New York Times in a interview published on Sunday, adding that she had the same concerns before the 2018 election, when the Dems retook the House of Representatives.

“He would poison the public mind. He would challenge each of the races; he would say you can’t seat these people,” Pelosi told the NYT. “We had to win. Imagine if we hadn’t won — oh, don’t even imagine. So, as we go forward, we have to have the same approach.”

Pelosi also added that she and the Dems believe they have to “inoculate” against the possibility that “Mr. Trump would not give up power voluntarily if he lost re-election.”

Part of Pelosi’s strategy of “inoculation” involves convincing her fellow Democrats that impeachment is not the best way for challenging President Trump in Congress. Instead, she believes the Dems should focus more on making the 2020 elections a referendum on Trump’s performance and his culpability in obstructing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether the President’s campaign colluded with Russia to alter the outcome of the 2016 election.

“Do not get dragged into a protracted impeachment bid that will ultimately get crushed in the Republican-controlled Senate, and do not risk alienating the moderate voters who flocked to the party in 2018 by drifting too far to the left,” she suggests, as the NYT reported.

Nancy Pelosi’s remarks are surprising to both Democrats and Republicans. Democrats are anticipating the 2020 race to be between members of the party’s far-left progressive wing, and not between moderates representing the center-left.

Progressive activists are desperately pushing the Democratic party to nominate Sen. Bernie Sanders as a way of “making up” for the socialist candidate’s defeat in 2016. And even though the moderate former Vice President Joe Biden is in the lead, there is a visible effort to derail his potential campaign.

Republicans may be surprised to learn that the Dems, including Nancy Pelosi, are still operating under the delusion that President Trump is the most likely candidate to refuse to accept the election results, particularly given that former Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton is still re-litigating the 2016 election, and that key Democratic candidates, like former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, are refusing to accept election results.

Hillary Clinton, for example, told a Los Angeles audience on Saturday that she believes she was robbed of the presidency back in 2016.

Of course, Hillary Clinton didn’t “run the best campaign,” not even by Democratic standards. She managed to skip several key states, like Michigan and Wisconsin, where faulty internal polling showed her far ahead. As a result, she failed to get the number of Electoral College votes needed to solidify a victory.

Last week Abrams told an audience that she wasn’t governor of Georgia “yet,” despite losing the state by more than 50,000 votes.

Justice Department Blasts Pelosi After She Accused AG Barr Of Committing A Crime

The Department of Justice is sounding off on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who accused Attorney General Barr of committing a crime by lying to Congress following his contentious Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on Wednesday.

“What is deadly serious about it is the attorney general of the United States of America was not telling the truth to the Congress of the United States. That’s a crime,” Nancy Pelosi said to reporters during a press conference on Thursday, adding that she stays open to the possibility of Barr facing jail time.

Pelosi appeared to be referencing Barr’s earlier testimony in which he claimed to be unaware of concerns from special counsel Mueller or his team about the attorney general’s handling of his report after news broke that Mueller complained about Barr’s summary.

The DOJ, however, responded to her accusation in a scathing statement issued by the department’s spokeswoman.

“The baseless attack on the Attorney General is reckless, irresponsible and false,” Department of Justice spokeswoman Kerri Kupec posted.

Pelosi’s claim about William Barr comes as the attorney general skipped attending a House Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday after the Dems voted to allow congressional staff and lawyers to ask questions.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders mocked the House Democrats as the hearing began.

“I lost confidence in Jerry Nadler a long time ago but I was unaware that he had lost confidence in himself and his ability to do his job and that is to ask questions,” she said at the time.

Many Democrats called for AG Barr’s resignation after Wednesday’s Senate hearing. After his no-show at the House’s counterpart hearing, House Democrats began threatening to hold him in contempt of Congress.
