President Trump Claims Mueller ‘Made a Fool of Himself’ During Recent Press Conference – Slams Pelosi With a New Nickname

President Trump blasted Robert Mueller for making a “fool” out of himself with his public statement in a recent press conference.

During his visit to Normandy, France to commemorate the 75th anniversary of D-Day, President Trump spoke to Fox News’ Laura Ingraham about the special counsel Mueller’s very brief news conference last week.

“Let me tell you, he made such a fool out of himself … because what people don’t report is the letter he had to do to straighten out his testimony because his testimony was wrong,” the President said on “The Angle,” apparently referring to Robert Mueller’s comments about him not being charged with obstruction of justice because of Justice Department policies.

“Charging the president with a crime was not an option we could consider,” Robert Mueller claimed, noting that a sitting president cannot be indicted.

“If we had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said that. … We concluded that we would not reach a determination one way or the other about whether the president committed a crime,” Mueller said.

His remarks set Democrats up in arms as they claimed he contradicted the summary and comments from Attorney General Barr who concluded that, as Robert Mueller didn’t find there was any obstruction of justice offense by President Trump, there was also no evidence to support the charge.

Justice Department spokeswoman Kerri Kupec and spokesman for the special counsel Peter Carr issued a joint statement following Robert Mueller’s press conference in order to present a united message from both their offices.

“The Attorney General has previously stated that the Special Counsel repeatedly affirmed that he was not saying that, but for the [Office of Legal Counsel] opinion, he would have found the President obstructed justice…”

“The Special Counsel’s report and his statement today made clear that the office concluded it would not reach a determination – one way or the other – about whether the President committed a crime,” they said. “There is no conflict between these statements.”

When asked where he stands on the possibility of Robert Mueller testifying to Congress, President Trump turned his attention on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“Nancy Pelosi, I call her Nervous Nancy, Nancy Pelosi doesn’t talk about it,” the President said about the joint statement. “Nancy Pelosi is a disaster, ok? She’s a disaster. Let her do what she wants, you know what? I think they’re in big trouble.”

Even though members of her own party have been clamoring for President Trump’s impeachment, especially in light of Robert Mueller’s report, Nancy Pelosi hasn’t fully joined them. However, the California Democrat reportedly acknowledged that she would rather see President Trump defeated at the polls in 2020 and then face jail time for the crimes he allegedly committed.

“I don’t want to see him impeached; I want to see him in prison,” Nancy Pelosi was quoted as saying by anonymous sources. Trump, however, tweeted last week that “Democrats can’t impeach a Republican President for crimes committed by Democrats.”

Former Bush AG Want’s To Know Why Mueller Took So Long To Report No Collusion

President George W. Bush’s former attorney general wants to know why special counsel Robert Mueller didn’t come forward and clear the Trump campaign of collusion with the Russian government sooner.

On Thursday, Michael Mukasey was a guest on the Fox News podcast “Hemmer Time” when he asked why Robert Mueller waited for so long to tell Americans that there were no evidence of collusion.

After two years of investigation conducted by the special counsel and his team, Mueller’s report, in a redacted form, was released on Thursday.

The report couldn’t find evidence of collusion and it did not recommend for President Trump to be charged with obstruction of justice, though Democrats want to further examine the latter conclusion.

“When did Bob Mueller know, or when did the people who worked with him know, that there was no coordination, which is what they were looking for?” Mukasey asked Fox News’s Bill Hemmer.

“When did they realize that and whenever they realized that shouldn’t they have told the rest of us?”

Mukasey stated that there should’ve been no problem for Robert Mueller to make an official statement about collusion while continuing on with the investigation if only to “have taken the speculation … off.”

The former AG claimed that speculation about whether collusion occurred dominated the media coverage throughout the course of the entire investigation.

“You remember the exercise that was engaged in … The number of television broadcasts that would have involved people sitting around conference tables inhaling their own and other people’s exhaust and getting high on it?”

Mukasey also told Fox News that Russian meddling in the United States’ affairs as well as other democratic nations is nothing new.

“Look, the Russians have been messing with the West generally and with the United States specifically since the Communist Revolution,” he said.
