The President Shuts Down Debra Messing After She Called For Public Blacklist Of Trump’s Hollywood Donors

President Trump shot back at Hollywood star and frequent Trump critic Debra Messing. We know Messing from the sitcom Will & Grace, and she recently called for a public outing of any donors attending a Hollywood fundraiser for President Trump.

Her intent was to blacklist these people in the show business community, something that would surely backfire in a place where money can cleanse any supposed sin.

The fundraiser is scheduled to be held on Sept. 17 and is being organized by Trump Victory, a joint program that raises money for both President Trump’s 2020 election and the Republican National Committee (RNC).

“Please print a list of all attendees please,” Debra Messing tweeted. “The public has a right to know.”

The Washington Examiner reported that President Trump didn’t wait to respond to the Hollywood actress and gave her a taste of her own medicine.

“I have not forgotten that when it was announced that I was going to do The Apprentice, and when it then became a big hit, helping NBC’s failed lineup greatly, @DebraMessing came up to me at an Upfront & profusely thanked me, even calling me “Sir.” How times have changed!” President Trump tweeted.

Messing and McCormack drew comparisons to McCarthyism on Twitter, a reference to former Republican Sen. Joseph McCarthy’s calls for a blacklist of Communist supporters from spheres of influence, such as the U.S. government and the film industry.

Conservative actor Dean Cain also responded to Debra Messing’s tweet, saying that he would’ve gone to the fundraiser if not for a prior commitment.

“I’m not attending, because I’ll be out of town. Otherwise, I’d have been happy to attend,” Cain told the Hollywood actress.

Tickets for the fundraiser can be bought for as cheap as $1,000 and the fundraiser includes combinations of tickets that can cost up to $100,000.

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, RNC co-chairman Tommy Hicks Jr., Trump 2020 campaign manager Brad Parscale, and Trump Victory finance chairman Todd Ricketts are reported to be hosts for the event.
