Trump Critics Rush To Social Media After His Nobel Peace Prize Nomination

President Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize for his hard work to broker a peace deal between Israel and the UAE.

Christian Tybring-Gjedde, a member of the Norwegian parliament made the nomination, citing Donald Trump’s contribution in the Israel-UAE peace conflict.

Tybring-Gjedde told Fox News “For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other Peace Prize nominees.”

GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel praised President Trump on social media. She wrote, “From Israel-UAE to Serbia-Kosovo, @realDonaldTrump has accomplished more for peace in the last month than President Obama did in 8 years – and Obama was nominated just weeks after being sworn in.”

She added “A truly deserving nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize for President Trump!”

Critics of President Trump vented frustration and mocked the nomination on social media.

“If @realDonaldTrump really wants to win a Nobel Peace Prize, might I suggest resigning,” said one tweet.

“Donald Trump has roughly the same odds of winning the Nobel Peace Prize as the Unabomber,” said another.

“Trump being nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by far-right anti-immigration nut job Christian Tybring-Gjedde is like getting a letter of recommendation to be a firefighter by a pyromaniac or like, you know, being endorsed for President by Osama Bin Laden’s niece Noor Bin Laden.”
