Trump Rips Ilhan Omar In Her Own Backyard – She Responded Like a Seasoned Politician

President Trump was in rare form Wednesday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis, which is saying a lot given the president’s typical demeanor at rallies.

With President Trump being in Rep. Ilhan Omar’s district, it was just a matter of time before he turned his attention on the lawmaker, one of four radical freshman Democrats referred to as “the squad.”

Of course, being that Rep. Omar is one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, President Trump’s hit was almost instantly labeled as Islamophobic — never mind Rep. Omar’s controversial behavior since taking office. Behavior that could also be described as embarrassing.

Rep. Omar’s name came up as President Trump commented on how House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer have turned the Democratic Party over to the radical left.

President Trump then chided the people of Minnesota for ever electing Rep. Omar.

“I know the people of Minnesota,” President Trump said. “I want to tell you, and I also at the same time — it’s both a question and a statement — how the hell did that ever happen!? How did it happen?”

And he was just getting warmed up.

“Congresswoman Omar is an American-hating socialist,” he told the crowd. “She minimized the September 11th attack on our homeland… where far more than 3,000 people died.”

This being a reference to her infamous line about the 9/11 attack, “Some people did something.”

“She pleaded for compassion for ISIS recruits right here in Minnesota,” the president said, before detailing her history “of launching virulent antisemitic screeds, whether you like it or not.”

“How do you have such a person representing you in Minnesota?” President Trump said, before joking, “I’m very angry at you people right now.”

“She is a disgrace to our country. She is one of the big reasons that I am going to win and the Republican party is going to win Minnesota in 13 months,” he declared.

Rep. Omar was quick to respond to President Trump’s remarks, using his words to chase the Benjamins.

She took to Twitter, and said: “At his rally just now, Trump called me an ‘America-hating socialist’ and a ‘disgrace.’ He shouted xenophobic conspiracy theories about me. He scolded my district for voting for me. His hate is no match for our movement. Stand with me by donating now.”

While Minnesota is a decidedly blue state, Hillary Clinton won by a small margin in the 2016 election, beating Donald Trump by just 45,000 votes, or 1.5%, Trump was adamant about carrying the state, saying “We are going to win this state.”

Many on the left jumped on Trump’s attack of Omar as being over the top, but truth is the president was holding back and avoided some of the more controversial aspects of her life.

Things such as the persistent allegations that she married her biological brother to commit immigration fraud, and that she is reportedly having an extramarital affair with a campaign consultant, who is also married. There is also the controversy over thousands of dollars being steered to the alleged lover. In the face of these reported misdeeds, Rep. Omar’s husband has filed for divorce.
