Now that the media coverage of the Russia collusion “hoax” is over, the White House says it is time for the mainstream media to focus its attention on Obama’s administration scandals.
“While the establishment media has breathlessly covered this partisan witch hunt for nearly two years, they refuse to cover the real scandals that plagued the previous Democrat administration,” a White House official told the Washington Examiner on Thursday.
“President Trump has been fully and completely exonerated yet again. Now the tables have turned, and it’s time to investigate the liars who instigated this sham investigation into President Trump, motivated by political retribution and based on no evidence whatsoever,” Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign manager, Brad Parscale, said in a statement.
“Now that the collusion and obstruction conspiracy theories have been exposed for the pathetic hoaxes they always were, the Obama-era [Department of Justice] and FBI must answer for their misdeeds and the scam that they perpetrated against the American people. Justice will be served,” he added.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s email scandal was also noted by the administration as well as Barack Obama’s dismissal of the issue as a “mistake” but not “a national security problem” during an interview on CBS News’ “60 Minutes” in 2015.
Former President Obama’s comments reportedly caused concern and prompted one former official to ask, “That’s a problem, right?”
The White House also called for an investigation of the Clinton Foundation’s funding and the efforts by former FBI employees Lisa Page and Peter Strzok to undermine President Donald Trump while helping Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election.
GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel also joined the gang and called out the Obama administration scandals in a statement following Attorney General William Barr’s press conference Thursday. She called Barr’s conclusions about special counsel Mueller’s report on alleged collusion a “complete and total vindication” of President Trump.
“It is increasingly clear that the only scandal here is the Obama administration’s repeated failure to act against Russian cyber meddling,” said Ronna McDanie.
The Obama administration “prioritized spying on a political opponent—the Trump campaign—and used a phony DNC-funded dossier as justification,” she added.
The Trump 2020 campaign posted a video on YouTube in which you can see clips of officials and high-profile Democrats accusing the president of colluding with Russia and obstructing justice, among many other things.
“Trump was right. They were wrong,” the video declared. “No collusion. No obstruction. Total exoneration.”
