Hollywood actor David Spade refused to trash President Trump on his new Comedy Central show Lights Out with David Spade. The actor says the anti-Trump jokes are overused and at “this point it would be just piling on.”
“We are trying to do the coldest thing. We want to do stuff that no one wants to see. At this point it would be just piling on,” Spade said, as reported by Breitbart.
“It gets to be where after a few years Trump turned into an easier target because at the beginning it is like ‘Can you believe this guy?’ And now it is like, ‘yeah we can.’ It is sort of what it is day to day,” Spade added.
Despite the risk, and despite his colleges in Hollywood trashing the President on a daily basis, David Spade plans to play it old school and rely on non-political humor.
“I just thought when we talked to Comedy Central that it was sort of like what could we do with me and my sense of humor,” David Spade continued.
“And maybe it is time for a non-political fun show again making fun whatever else is going on. Gender reveals drive me crazy, anything going on in music and acting,” He said.
Mainstream media has enjoyed trashing President Trump ever since he took office. Hollywood has crossed every red line and lost every sense of entertainment with their focus on attacking the President for the past few years. It’s nice to see that someone from that crowd want’s to take a different path.
