Fox News host Pete Hegseth said President Trump is expected to make an announcement in the next week about restoring the rank of Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher.

On Monday morning, Hegseth said on “Fox & Friends” that he learned the news during a conversation with President Trump over the weekend, and the actions by the president are expected to come before Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, Fox News reported.

“It doesn’t have to be a pardon or a commutation,” Pete Hegseth said. “It could be, but pardons and commutations imply guilt, that you’ve done something wrong and you need to be forgiven for that. The president, as the commander-in-chief, has a lot of latitude under the Uniform Code of Military Justice to dismiss a case or change a sentence. From what I understand, that is likely what will happen here shortly.”

Hegseth also posted a tweet over the weekend saying that “imminent action” would take place in the cases of Army Lieutenant Clint Lorance and Army Major Matt Golsteyn, and confirmed Monday that Gallagher was among those considerations as well.

Few days ago, the Gallagher family announced they were working with more than 30 members of Congress for an official letter to send to the President that would request a Presidential Pardon for Gallagher.

Gallagher was acquitted on July 2 of murder, a charge waged against him for the May 2017 death of an ISIS fighter in Mosul, Iraq. The acquittal came after Petty Officer Corey Scott had revealed under oath – and under the protection of government immunity – that he covered the ISIS fighter’s breathing tube to suffocate him.

Gallagher and 10 others from Alpha Platoon, SEAL Team 7 were later photographed near the corpse, however, Gallagher was the only one charged with the act, and it was the only charge he was found guilty of.

He was sentenced to reduced rank from an E7 to E6, forfeiture of partial pay for four months, and four months confinement, which he already served during pre-trial confinement that President Trump intercepted.

Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Gilday decided to uphold the sentence, denying Gallagher’s request to retire as an E7, but preventing him from retiring as an E1, a typically automatic consequence in accordance with Navy regulations.

As Fox News reported, if Gallagher retires as an E6, he reportedly loses $200,000 in retirement funds.

Host Joy Behar announced that Don Trump Jr. was going into the lion’s den and will appear on The View’s 5,000 episode. If it happens, this will be must watch TV and the ratings will be huge.

It will be particularly interesting because right after the announcement Navarro made a crack that Don Jr belongs in a prison suit.

Variety reported that Trump Jr. will make his first appearance on the show to promote his new book, “Triggered: How the Left Thrives on Hate and Wants to Silence Us.” Joined by girlfriend and former Fox News personality Kimberly Guilfoyle, the senior advisor to President Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign is set to visit the ABC talker on Nov. 7.

Co-host Joy Behar made the announcement Friday on the show following a discussion about the couple’s choice of a “witch hunt” costume this Halloween — in reference to the president’s description of his impeachment inquiry and other investigations against him.

The New York Post also reported that host Joy Behar made the announcement on Friday’s show, prompting a loud chorus of “ooooohhhh” from the disbelieving studio audience.

“Everyone looks so shocked. We have everyone on here,” co-host Sunny Hostin responded.

President Donald Trump has no fans among the co-hosts, with McCain and the other house conservative, Abby Huntsman, frequently criticizing the commander-in-chief.

Host Whoopi Goldberg won’t even say the president’s name, and Joy Behar is a confirmed liberal.

As funny as it sounds, Michelle Obama recently stated that her husband, Barack Obama, was the president of the world.

On Tuesday, former first lady Michelle Obama said that her husband, former President Barack Obama, could have built his presidential library anywhere in the world because many people feel that he is “their president.”

Michelle Obama spoke at the Obama Foundation Summit at the Illinois Institute of Technology, explained Chicago’s Jackson Park was selected as the site for the Obama Presidential Center because it was close to the couple’s former home and situated near her South Side childhood home, as Breitbart reported.

“There’s power in the selection of Jackson Park,” former first lady Michelle Obama said. “Barack and I don’t do things incidentally. There’s a strategy.”

The former first lady then argued the library could have even been built outside of the United States.

“Barack’s presidential library could have been anywhere in the world, because there are so many people who feel like he is their president,” she stated.

“New York wanted it. Hawaii wants it. Because it’s also an economic engine,” she added.

Now actress Rose McGowan is suing them and others accusing them of violating the RICO act.

Weinstein is currently facing criminal charges and he may very well spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Rose McGowan claims that they violated the RICO act, wiretapped her, committed fraud and violated an anti-intimidation law.

The Hill reported that in the lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in California, McGowan alleges that Weinstein launched an effort involving “some of the most powerful forces that money can buy,” including attorney David Boies and Israeli security firm Black Cube, after learning she planned to allege in her 2018 memoir “Brave” that he raped her in 1997.

Weinstein “relied on his co-conspirators, including Defendants, to seek and suppress information about other women who might reveal his misconduct, harm his reputation, and potentially report his sexual misconduct,” the lawsuit says.

“Together, they worked in concert for more than a year to silence Weinstein’s victims and the journalists who were reporting Weinstein’s abuses,” it continues.

“With McGowan specifically, Defendants tried steal McGowan’s unpublished book, attempted to buy McGowan’s silence, and planned — in the event that they could not intimidate McGowan into withholding her book — to undermine McGowan’s reputation, such that she would not be believed,” it adds, alleging violations of federal and state laws.

Former President Jimmy Carter was rushed to the hospital after a fall in his home on Monday evening resulted in a fractured pelvis.

Carter Center spokeswoman Deanne Congileo said the former president is in “good spirits” after the minor fracture, as reported by the Associated Press. “He is in good spirits and is looking forward to recovering at home,” Carter Center said in a statement.

Jimmy Carter, who turned 95 years old earlier this month, has fallen several times at his Plains, Georgia home.

“He first fell in the spring and required hip replacement surgery. Carter fell again this month and despite receiving 14 stitches, traveled the next day to Nashville, Tennessee to rally volunteers and help build a Habitat for Humanity home,” the Associated Press reported.

“Carter is the oldest living former president in U.S. history. He and 92-year-old Rosalynn recently became the longest-married first couple, surpassing George and Barbara Bush, with more than 73 years of marriage,” they added.

The Carter Center released a statement with more info about the unfortunate event, “Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter had a fall yesterday evening at his home in Plains, GA. He has been admitted to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for observation and treatment of a minor pelvic fracture. He is in good spirits and is looking forward to recovering at home.”

The former president previously survived liver and brain cancer, announcing his cancer was gone in 2015.

“We’ve cut back in the last few months. I’m 92, he’s 95, and we thought it was time to stop working steadily all day every day,” Rosalynn Carter told reporters few weeks ago. But they still maintain a busy schedule, she said, traveling to Atlanta monthly to spend time at the Carter Center.

“I’ll stop when I have to. But I won’t stop until I have to,” Jimmy Carter told CNN.

The entire Democratic establishment in Chicago is on high alert after the latest raids by the FBI and a new round of subpoenas.

Stunning even hardened cynics of Illinois politics, the entire Democratic organization of a Chicago suburb was subpoenaed in an ongoing corruption probe.

Some individuals have already been indicted and people are expecting more heads to roll. This goes all the way to the top no doubts.

The Chicago Tribune reported that FBI agents who raided the village hall in southwest suburban Lyons last month seized a plethora of evidence, including information on a clout-heavy red light camera company, a popular brewery, an embattled video gaming magnate and a construction magnate who owns a huge quarry in town, records show.

On the day of the raid in Sept. 26, Lyons was also served with a federal grand jury subpoena demanding a wide range of records on a hotel and resort backed by Mayor Christopher Getty, the home security system at Getty’s residence and the entire Democratic Organization of Lyons Township — headed by state Sen. Steven Landek.

The documents, released by Lyons on Tuesday, were the latest public disclosure in a sprawling federal political corruption investigation that has rocked Springfield and Chicago’s near southwestern suburbs, the traditional power base of Democratic House Speaker Michael Madigan.

The investigation, which records show has been going on behind the scenes since at least 3 years ago, exploded in the public eye on Sept. 24, when the FBI and Internal Revenue Service agents carried out search warrants at the offices of state Sen. Martin Sandoval in the Capitol and in west suburban Cicero.

No one has been criminally charged so far in the ongoing probe.

Lyons officials had issued a blanket denial of open records requests from the media, claiming federal investigators demanded that no information be released about the warrant. But the town acquiesced after being sued by several media outlets.

Shep Smith is out of Fox News. Today was his last day broadcasting his show. He did, of course, take one last shot at President Trump but he will no longer have the platform at Fox to continue doing so.

“This is my last newscast here,” Smith said today on his show. He also added that he went to Fox News and said he wanted to start a new chapter. He was probably forced out – remember AG Barr just met with Rupert Murdoch.

“After requesting that I stay, they graciously obliged,” Shep Smith said.

Smith also didn’t miss the opportunity to take his last shot at President Trump: “Even in our current polarized nation, it is my hope that the facts will win the day, that the truth will always matter, that journalism and journalists will thrive.”

CNBC reported that Fox News chief news anchor Shepard Smith is leaving the conservative cable network after 23 years, announced on Friday.

Smith’s appearance Friday on “Shepard Smith Reporting” was his last appearance on the network, according to Fox News.

His departure follows a report that he was warned last month by Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott and network president Jay Wallace not to criticize the network’s evening anchor, Tucker Carlson, again.

Smith recently attacked Carson and said on the air that it was “repugnant” for Carlson not speaking up in defense of Fox News contributor Andrew Napolitano after a Carslo guest called Napolitano a “fool” for saying that President Trump had broken the law.

“Recently I asked the company to allow me to leave Fox News and begin a new chapter,” Smith said in a prepared statement.

“After requesting that I stay, they graciously obliged. The opportunities afforded this guy from small town Mississippi have been many,” Smith said.

“It’s been an honor and a privilege to report the news each day to our loyal audience in context and with perspective, without fear or favor. I’ve worked with the most talented, dedicated and focused professionals I know and I’m proud to have anchored their work each day — I will deeply miss them.” He added.

As recent reports say, Hanoi Jane Fonda was arrested in Washington D.C. signaling a new round of protests for the aging social justice warrior.

Earlier, Jane Fonda had promised she would start getting involved in more direct actions and recently moved to Washington to follow through on her pledge.

She vowed to get arrested if she had to and it looks like she meant it as she just got cuffed and stuffed.

The Hollywood Reporter said that the actress was demonstrating on the Capitol with the group Oil Change International.

After pledging to hold weekly demonstrations over climate change, Jane Fonda was arrested on Friday as she was among the people protesting in Washington, D.C. on the Capitol. Video of the actress being placed in handcuffs and escorted to a police vehicle was recently posted to social media.

“Today, the United States Capitol Police arrested 16 individuals for unlawfully demonstrating on the East Front of the U.S. Capitol,” Eva Malecki, spokeswoman for the Capitol police told The Hollywood Reporter. All were charged with crowding, obstructing or incommoding, she said.

The actress was protesting with the group Oil Change International over the climate crisis. “I will be on the Capitol every Friday, rain or shine, inspired and emboldened by the incredible movement our youth have created,” Jane Fonda posted on her own website on Thursday.

Fonda has been a political activist for many years and a stanch opponent of oil developments.

In an unexpected turn of events, Central America migrants have occupied a U.S. – Mexico Bridge and shut down an official border crossing.

The bridge crossing is in Matamoros Mexico and the immigrants are protesting President Trump’s get tough policies that require them to wait in Mexico to get asylum.

Trump’s administration has implemented even stricter controls mandating that anyone coming from Central America through Mexico first seek asylum in Mexico.

The same deal was also implemented with Guatemala and President Trump seeks to widen it to other Central America countries.

Reuters reported that hundreds of the migrants have been camped for weeks on the end of the bridge in Matamoros, Mexico, a city known for cartel control of people trafficking and gang violence.

Many of the camped out migrants are awaiting court dates for hearings in the United States weeks or months later under a U.S. policy called the Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP).

Video shot by a Reuters photographer showed men, women and children, some lying on blankets, mid-way across the bridge over the Rio Grande. The path into the U.S. was blocked by a razor wire-topped gate, behind which stood dozens of border agents.

Some migrants on the bridge stated that they were trying to cross as a group into the U.S., and were frustrated that court dates kept on being pushed backwards, leaving them uncertain of how long they would be stuck in Mexico.

“We want to argue to cross over – we didn’t ask to be in Mexico, they sent us here unjustly,” said a migrant who declined to give his name. He said he had a court date in the United States.

Elias Rodriguez, public affairs liaison for U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Brownsville, confirmed the bridge had been shut for what seemed to be a small protest but said it was still unclear what happened and when.

Elias Rodriguez also stated that there had been no violence.

More than 51,000 migrants, mostly asylum seekers, have been returned to Mexico under MPP. At least 8,000 of them have been sent to Matamoros, a border city in crime-wracked Taumaulipas state, since the policy was expanded in July from other parts of the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Secret Service is investigating a North Carolina high school teacher for reportedly making threatening comments about Vice President Mike Pence to his students while teaching class.

Specifically, the teacher said VP Mike Pence should be “shot in the head.”

The Charlotte Observer reported that a North Carolina teacher is accused of threatening the Vice President, prompting a Secret Service investigation, police say.

The woman allegedly told her class at Cuthbertson High School in Union County that Mike Pence should be “shot in the head,” WJZY reported over the weekend.

Union County Public Schools officials stated that they are taking the allegations “very seriously” and put the teacher on administrative leave.

The Washington Examiner also reported that the unnamed teacher has been referred to the Secret Service by the Union County Sheriff’s Office, according to local Fox 46.

The school is in the 9th Congressional District near Charlotte, which Bishop won against Democrat Dan McCready in last week’s special election.

“This is the vice president of the United States. He’s an elected official,” said Firas Obeid, a parent of two students at the high school, adding he is not a supporter of Mike Pence. “Affiliation to a specific party does not entitle us to make a statement like that to anyone.”

“You should not be bringing in those type of viewpoints to your job,” Union County GOP Chair Allison Powers said.

Allison Powers isn’t going as far as asking for the teacher to be fired, but says she trusts the school board will take appropriate action. “To just wish that kind of violence on anybody is just way out of bounds,” she said.
