Gold Star Mom Breaks Down In Tears – Slams Kaepernick In Patriotic Speech Honoring Our Flag

Gold star mother Amanda Jacobs slammed former quarterback Colin Kaepernick in a heartfelt speech at the Independence Day “Rally For Freedom” event in Washington.

Amanda Jacobs’ son, Lance Cpl. Christopher Phoenix-Jacob Levy, died on December 10, 2011. He died fighting in Afghanistan’s Helmand province.

“When I look at this country today and I tell people, and I’ve wanted to say this loud so many times: Colin Kaepernick was getting paid $14 million dollars a year to throw a ball,” Amanda Jacobs said.

“My son died for $14,000 a year and he’s given more than any football player, any athlete, has ever given.” she continued.

“That’s what we are here for today — not because, you know, I wanted to be a Gold Star mom. I got gold stars in school for making grades.” she added.

“But this Gold Star that I wear every day isn’t for me. It’s because of what my son chose to do — without my permission, trust me. I have a 17-year-old that is doing the same thing, and it’s because of what they believe.”

“I hear these Marines that come to my house — and they stay for four days, you know I’ve got 30 Marines that sleep on my floor, and it’s great — but they tell us that the only thing that kept them going is when they could look up and see that flag,” she said.

“They had hope to go back home to, and a hope that this country was going to change for the better — not for the worse.”

“My son’s words were, ‘Mom, I’m not fighting for the ones in the White House. I’m fighting for you and my brothers in this yellow house.” Amanda Jacobs said.

Arizona Starbucks Kicks Out Police Officers Because Customers ‘Didn’t Feel Safe’

Starbucks caught the media’s attention again, when a store in Tempe, Arizona kicked out a bunch of police officers for the crime of being police offices.

Cops today have difficult and thankless jobs out there and the least we can do is show them the same respect. In-fact, any customer deserves respect when he visits a retail outlets like Starbucks.

Well, Fox News reported that some police officers in Tempe, Arizona, say they were asked to leave a Starbucks coffee shop on the 4th of July because a customer complained they “did not feel safe” with the cops present, according to reports.

Five police officers were drinking coffee at the Starbucks location prior to their shift beginning when the store’s barista asked them to move out of the complaining customer’s line of sight or else leave, the Tempe Officers Association wrote in a series of tweets.

President of the police union, Rob Ferraro, told FOX 10 of Phoenix that such treatment of police officers seems to be happening more often these days.

“It’s become accepted to not trust or to see police and think that we’re not here to serve you, and again, it goes back to — we take great pride of the level of customer service we provide to citizens, and to be looked at as feeling unsafe when you have law enforcement around you is somewhat perplexing to me,” Ferraro told the station in a phone interview.

The police union also posted a series of tweets about the incident.

“This treatment of public safety workers could not be more disheartening,” the police union wrote. “While the barista was polite, making such a request at all was offensive. Unfortunately, such treatment has become all too common in 2019.”

A Starbucks spokesman told the Arizona Republic the company was still gathering information about what happened.

“We have a deep respect for the Tempe Police and their service to the community,” spokesman Reggie Borges told the newspaper.

“We’ve reached out to the Tempe Police Department and Tempe Officers Association to better understand what happened and apologize,” he said. “We want everyone in our stores to feel welcomed and the incident described is not indicative of what we want any of our customers to feel in our stores.”

Dem Congresswoman Is Sending Her Staff To Train Immigrants To Sneak Into The U.S.

A Democrat congresswoman from Texas’s 16th congressional district has been accused of using taxpayer funds to send her staff into Mexico in secret to train asylum seekers on how to get around United States immigration laws.

Her staff was reportedly sent to Mexico’s northern border town of Ciudad Juárez to find immigrants who were sent back using the “remain in Mexico” policy.

Rep. Veronica Escobar’s staff is training them to use a loophole in the policy by pretending that they don’t know how to speak Spanish, The Washington Examiner reported.

The National Border Patrol Council’s El Paso chapter and several Customs and Border Protection personnel told the Washington Examiner aides to Rep. Veronica Escobar, who took over 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke’s district, and the local Catholic diocese have interviewed thousands of migrants in Juarez over the past few weeks to find cases where Department of Homeland Security officials may have wrongly returned people.

“What we believe is happening is Veronica Escobar’s office is going … to basically second-guess and obstruct work already done by the Border Patrol,” a senior union official stated in an interview with The Washington Examiner.

“What we’re hearing from management is that they’re attempting to return people, and the story was changed in Mexico, where a person who understood Spanish before now doesn’t understand — where a person who didn’t have any health issues before now has health issues,” they said.

“They went through and interviewed everybody, cherry-picked them, brought them back, and now are using them as tag lines. They’re going over there and manufacturing a lot of these issues,” they said.

Border officials claimed that they are concerned that she is using the interviews to then claim the Border Patrol is not allowing legitimate asylum seekers in.

“We had finally found a happy medium ‘cause we always get crapped on when it comes to immigration laws, and then they’re finding loopholes to bring them back,” another official said.

Should Rep. Veronica Escobar be prosecuted?

Former immigration judge Mark H. Metcalf claimed that it is “more of a stunt than a genuine threat to the integrity of the process.”

“She’s trying to obviously say these people have been wrongly denied their claims and they’re waiting when they shouldn’t be,” he said.

However, he stated that if it’s proven that she is coaching immigrants to create fake stories to get into the U.S. she could be prosecuted.

A Department of Homeland Security official aware of the situation said Democrats, nonprofit organizations, and 2020 hopefuls “are furious that these migrants” are not permitted to “await their court dates in the U.S., where they have the opportunity to disappear and slip into the interior never to be seen again.”

“By opposing a system that assists migrants and speeds wait times, these individuals are exposing a cause that looks more like a cover story for their political motivations.”

“Any efforts to subvert and obstruct federal law enforcement operations should receive a full review,” they stated for The Washington Examiner.

In one incident, an Escobar aide and diocese official walked a male immigrant over the bridge back in June and asked for him to be admitted into the U.S. because they had found he had “cognitive disabilities.” Officers took the boy and turned the case over to the Border Patrol, where an agent found a Constituent Information and Privacy Release Form with the U.S. House of Representatives seal on it inside the 17-year-old’s file. Two officials said the paper would have to have been put in his file while he was interviewed in Mexico and was not supposed to have been left there because it would reveal to the Border Patrol that a member of Congress or their staff was meeting with immigrants in Mexico.

The boy has since returned to Mexico because his medical condition was not diagnosed by a medical professional but by an aide of the congresswoman, one official said on Friday.

“Management saw that form and was like, ‘What is this?’ and reached out to our International Liaison Unit. And ILU said, ‘Yes, Veronica Escobar and several other politicians are in Mexico trying to defeat the MPP program,’” the union told The Washington Examiner.

“Resources are being diverted into a foreign country in an attempt to reverse already-decided legal action, meaning these people were found inadmissible under a new program and they must remain in Mexico. They’re trying to subvert that,” they said.

Candace Owens Exposes Kaepernick As a Fraud Who Is Rigging The System To ‘Enrich’ Himself

Conservative personality Candace Owens launched a Twitter attack against Colin Kaepernick on Friday, stating that the racial justice campaigner and former NFL quarterback is trying to “rig the system” to enrich himself.

Candace Owens, the founder of the Blexit movement calling on black Americans to abandon the Democratic Party, posted the tweet days after Nike announced they were abandoning a sneaker featuring the Betsy Ross flag.

The 4th of July celebratory sneaker was discarded by the shoemaker after Coiln Kaepernick, who represents Nike, claimed that the flag was offensive.

Nike’s decision ignited a social and political storm, with conservatives blasting Kaepernick and Nike as another example of political correctness treading over the nation’s history.

Candace Owens also weighed in on the debate, going after both Coiln Kaepernick and civil rights activist Shaun King.

“I love how @shaunking who is white and @Kaepernick7 who is half-white, have raked in millions by continually telling black people that they are less than white people,” Candace Owens wrote on Friday.

“Two white men claiming the system is rigged for whites, as they rig the system to enrich themselves is funny,” she concluded.

Many other conservatives were also outraged by the sportswear giant’s decision, including Republican governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, who stated that he was ordering the Arizona Commerce Authority to withdraw incentives for Nike to build a manufacturing plant in the state.

Republican Senator from Texas Ted Cruz also slammed Coiln Kaepernick with a simple but important history lesson, after the former quarterback tweeted out a quote from Frederick Douglas.

“You quote a mighty and historic speech by the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass, but, without context, many modern readers will misunderstand,” the Texas Senator wrote at the start of his thread about Douglass.

Rain Proves No Match For The First Lady Who Shined On 4th Of July Wearing Classy Off-The-Shoulder Dress

Not even the 4th of July rain could keep First Lady Melania Trump from stunning the public with her amazing fashion choices.

At the “Salute to America” event put on by President Trump, First Lady Melania shined brightly wearing a white, off-the-shoulder dress. The dress, designed by Carolina Herrera, popped with rainbow-clad stripes, a flared skirt and oversized-tie on the shoulder.

The First Lady’s dress was styled by Mrs. Trump’s personal couturier Hervé Pierre.

For footwear, First Lady Melania wore fuschia patent leather pumps designed by Christian Louboutin, which is one of Melania’s favorite brands. The first lady also enjoys wearing Manolo Blahnik stilettos.

First Lady Melania applauded the 4th of July celebration put on by her husband on Twitter, along with photos of her 2019 style.

“A beautiful tribute to our Nation & the American spirit tonight. We honor & celebrate our cherished history & all those who served & sacrificed so much for the freedoms we have today. God Bless our great military & God Bless the United States,” Mrs. Trump tweeted.

As usual, critics immediately went after First Lady Melania, but her supporters were loud and proud in their support for the first lady on social media.

“You’re the only person in history who can get wet and still look lovely! God bless you!” one user tweeted.

“Loved this!!! Awesomeness!!! I teared up several times. Thank you for all the hard work that went into bringing our nation together! Great speech. Love our President and First Lady.” another responded.

“Happy 4th of July, madam first lady, and to you your husband, son, and the rest of the first children as well. Thank your husband from me and mine for running this country right,” another user added.

Plenty of other social media users took to Twitter to celebrate the unifying speech given by President Trump.  Even the president himself retweeted some of the thoughts from people like actor Randy Quaid.

“Wow! Rousing great speech, great air show, great bands! The great pilots, the great timing of the speech with the fly-overs. We are all so blessed to be Americans! Happy Independence Day everybody!” the “Days of Thunder” actor tweeted.

Ted Cruz Shuts Down Kaepernick After He Trashed USA With His 4th of July Comment

Ted Cruz slammed Coiln Kaepernick with a simple but important history lesson, after the former quarterback tweeted out a quote from Frederick Douglas.

“What have I, or those I represent, to do with your national independence? This Fourth of July is yours, not mine…There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody than are the people of these United States at this very hour.” tweeted Kaepernick.

Ted Cruz responded to the post saying: “You quote a mighty and historic speech by the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass, but, without context, many modern readers will misunderstand. Two critical points:”

“This speech was given in 1852, before the Civil War, when the abomination of slavery still existed. Thanks to Douglass and so many other heroes, we ended that grotesque evil and have made enormous strides to protecting the civil rights of everybody,” Cruz tweeted.

“Douglass was not anti-American; he was, rightly and passionately, anti-slavery. Indeed, he concluded the speech as follows:”

“Allow me to say, in conclusion, notwithstanding the dark picture I have this day presented, of the state of the nation, I do not despair of this country.”

“There are forces in operation, which must inevitably, work the downfall of slavery. ‘The arm of the Lord is not shortened,’ and the doom of slavery is certain.”

“I, therefore, leave off where I began, with hope. While drawing encouragement from ‘the Declaration of Independence,’ the great principles it contains, and the genius of American Institutions, my spirit is also cheered by the obvious tendencies of the age.”

Earlier this week, former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick caught the media’s attention after he reportedly told Nike to pull back their flag-themed tennis shoe because he found it offensive.

MLK’s Niece Blasts Nike & Kaepernick: ‘We Should Be Celebrating Living In Best The Country On Earth’

Dr. Martin Luther King’s niece called out Nike for their decision to pull Betsy Ross flag-themed shoes from the stores before Independence Day, proclaiming that we should be “celebrating living” in America.

Dr. Alveda King — who served as a Georgia state representative from 1979 to 1983 — was asked for her reaction to Nike’s nixing of American Revolution flag-inspired shoes during an interview on Fox Business’ “Cavuto Coast-to-Coast.”

Shoe giant Nike asked the stores to return their product after they received a complaint from Kaepernick, who claimed that he and other’s found the shoe offensive.

King responded by stating that she thinks the shoes are “kind of cute” and that the younger generation is “a little more forgiving” than the people who are “polarizing themselves with all of these things.”

She went on and said that she was “reminded” of her family members’ words to “solve conflicts peacefully” and that she believes that “we are skipping some of these steps” when it comes to peaceful demonstrations.

“I’m reminded of my dad, Rev. A.D. King, my granddaddy Martin Luther King, Sr., and my uncle Martin Luther King, Jr., who said, ‘Solve conflicts peacefully. If you take a knee, say a prayer in the process,’” said Alveda King.

“So I think that we are skipping some of these steps. You get your information, you educate your public, you examine your own soul, you sit down and you talk. If it doesn’t work, have peaceful demonstrations and then do win-win reconciliations.” She added.

She continued to say that there was a jump from “no facts, no information” and quipped that she was “not so sure” that Kaepernick “even totally understands who Betsy Ross is.”

“So, I think it’s kind of unfortunate that we’re fighting over sneakers when we should be celebrating living in the best country on the planet,” King added. “And I think it was just an unfortunate choice, actually, Neil.”

Ted Nugent Praises Trump As The ‘Best President Who Represents The Heart & Soul Of This Country’

Ted Nugent slammed all President Trump’s critics with a patriotic 4th of July message. He showed that he is still rocking crowds and making liberals go insane with no signs of stopping any time soon.

Blabbermouth reported that outspoken conservative rocker Ted Nugent appeared in an interview with the “Music Mania” podcast, and was asked if he is happy with where things are headed in America, two years into President Trump’s presidency.

He responded (hear audio below): “I’m a celebrator of all things good while I fight and try to destroy all things bad and ugly. I’ll be 71 glowing, youthful years old this year — 71! Count them. And in my 71 years — I suspect I was paying attention by 1949 — this is the best president I have ever seen. This is a hell-raisin’, we the people, Constitution, Bill Of Rights, be the best that you can be.”

“Here’s the battle cry of my favorite president: America first. Woah! That’s radical. Woah! America first. That’s controversial — in Cuba,” he continued.

“Anyhow, yeah, I think Donald Trump’s doing a great job. He represents the heart and soul of the heart and soul of this country — the heartland of this country: the farmers, the ranchers, the private property owners, the entrepreneurs, working-hard, playing-hard Americans who earn their own way, live within their means, save for a rainy day, take risks and make sacrifices to be in the asset column. Yeah, all those really perfect things are controversial, which means we’ve got a bunch of numbnuts in the Democratic party who clearly don’t believe in ‘America first.’”

“My guitar playing has a life of its own, and my band is so good, it’s stupid. The music we make is so much fun, it’s out of body. It’s just a powerful force in our American dream and our quality of life. But I think my guitar is more intense today. [Drummer] Jason [Hartless] and [bassist] Greg [Smith], they have more energy and more attitude in every song. Every time we jam, [I think,] ‘This is gonna be the greatest tour of my life,’ and it might have a lot to do with the incredible, positive spirit that this president represents, that he exudes, that he fights for, and that is the best people in America that are in the asset column. So you’re damn right I’m celebrating the Fourth of July, Independence Day, every damn day.” Nugent added.

“Trump is swinging an American crowbar at all things status quo,” He said at the time. “Does that ring any bells? Does that sound like a guitar player from Detroit who was anti-dope, pro-law enforcement, pro-gun, during the hippie days?”

Don Trump Jr Slams Nike & Kaepernick Over Betsy Ross Shoe Controversy

Don Trump Jr. always has his father’s back and he proved it once again. He is also a man with a sense of humor, unlike many other politicians.

Fox News reported that Donald Trump Jr. had a scathing critique of the athletic company Nike after it decided to pull a sneaker bearing a flag used during the American Revolution.

Instead of using that older version of the American flag, Trump Jr. suggested that Nike should unveil a communist-style shoe looking similar to the hammer-and-sickle logo of the former Soviet Union.

“If the Betsy Ross Flag, the flag of the American Revolution, is too offensive for Nike to commemorate The 4th of July maybe Nike should go with this… seems to be more in line with their views,” Trump Jr. tweeted on Wednesday.

His attack came after Nike faced huge criticism over its decision to stop the release of a shoe that had the Betsy Ross flag because it could “unintentionally offend” people.

“NIKE made the decision to halt distribution of the Air Max 1 Quick Strike Fourth of July based on concerns that it could unintentionally offend and detract from the nation’s patriotic holiday,” the company claimed in a statement sent to Fox News on Tuesday.

As reported, ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick played a role in Nike’s decision to pull the sneakers after they have been sent to retailers.

Sources told The Wall Street Journal that Colin Kaepernick stated that he felt the use of the Betsy Ross flag was offensive, with slavery connotations.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the paper’s report stated, “After images of the shoe were posted online, Mr. Kaepernick, a Nike endorser, reached out to company officials saying that he and others felt the Betsy Ross flag is an offensive symbol because of its connection to an era of slavery.”

‘I am so ashamed:’ Bette Midler Goes Out Off Orbit In Her New Attack On Trump’s July 4th Plans

Singer Bette Midler’s Tweeter followers were a bit confused today, as she managed to tie President Trump’s 4th July salute to the heat wave in France to prove a point.

The Hill reported that Bette Midler also said that she is “ashamed” of President Trump’s planned July 4 event in Washington, slamming the celebration as “a salute to himself.”

This Tuesday, the “Wind Beneath my Wings” singer posted on Twitter to blast President Trump’s Thursday “Salute to America” spectacle on the National Mall.

The Independence Day celebration is poised to include a “phenomenal fireworks display,” according to the Interior Department, as well as remarks by the President from the Lincoln Memorial. Reports said on Tuesday that at least two tanks had arrived in the nation’s capital after the President had called for a July 4 event that included military hardware.

“An unheard of 115 degrees in France, one of our allies, and Mr Trump is only interested in putting tanks on the Mall for his salute to himself July 4th. I am so ashamed.” Bette Midler posted on Twitter.

Last week France recorded its highest-ever temperature, reaching nearly 115 degrees in the town of Gallargues-le-Montueux. We are still confused on how this is connected to Trump’s 4th July celebration.

Last month, President Trump slammed Midler, calling the “First Wives Club” star a “washed-up psycho” after she shared a fake quote about him on social media. Midler has repeatedly attacked President Trump, saying he generates “so many lies.”
