A group of evangelical Christian women prayed over President Donald Trump after he made a surprise appearance at their event at the Trump International Hotel in Washington D.C.
In a video posted on Instagram by Christian activist Rachel Faulkner-Brown, we can see President Trump bowing his head as a group of women pray over him.
In their prayer, the ladies thanked God for giving President Trump the courage to stand up against the enemies who seek to destroy him. They also asked God to protect and strengthen him for the battles that lie ahead.
“Holy Father, we thank you so much for this evening. We thank you for this man of God. We thank you for his courage of standing up when others would rather stay seated.”
“Father, we ask you that you protect him. That you to lift him up, that you give him strength and know that he must be tired at times. We just pray that you give him power like none other. We love him. We hold him up. And we thank you. Amen.”
On her post on Instagram, Faulkner-Brown said the group prayed for the President “because we all need to be prayed for, we all need to be loved and we all will thrive in freedom. Hail to the Chief tonight.”
The group had “no idea” that the President would make a surprise appearance and were thrilled when he showed up, the Daily Mail reported.
In attendance at the gathering were President Trump’s longtime faith adviser Paula White, Candy Carson (the wife of HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson), and pro-life speaker Yvonne Florczak–Seeman.
President Trump enjoys widespread support from Christian evangelicals, who love that he is vocally pro-life.
