Appearing on Fox News with Laura Ingraham, famous actor Jon Voight discussed the politics of actor’s like Robert De Niro and hit back against the left’s disdain for President Trump.
USAToday reported that Jon Voight says President Trump’s impeachment inquiry is “a lie.”
The actor appeared on an interview with Fox News, and shared his thoughts on the latest political news on Monday.
“It’s the culmination of the commitment to take down this president,” Jon Voight said of the inquiry, adding that it’s a way of “exposing the truth.”
“I look at the statements of Nancy Pelosi, I look at this fellow Schiff, Adam Schiff. It’s pretty clear there is something wrong here,” he said.
“These people are not well, and the audience is seeing the bottom line just as they’re seeing the bottom line with these debates. One ridiculous statement after another,” the actor continued.
When asked about Robert De Niro and other’s outspoken backlash towards the President, Voight said “perhaps they’ll come to an understanding that that’s wrong.”
Voight admitted when he was “back in the ’60s,” he tended towards “that kind of thinking.”
“It’s nice to be a revolutionary, iconoclast when you’re a young person, you think you’re doing something brand new… and you don’t look at the real result of all of this, youthful energies,” he said. “Arrogance, arrogance.”
National Medal of Arts winner Jon Voight also posted a personal vlog on his Twitter feed, adding “I want to give thanks.”
