If you thought that former HUD Secretary Julian Castro appeared a bit taller during Thursday night’s debate on ABC, it’s because he was standing on a booster box.
As the debate started, the opening pans showed at least three of the candidates standing on booster boxes: Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, California Sen. Kamala Harris and Julian Castro.
According to reporters near the stage, Julian Castro’s booster may have even been a bit larger than the boxes being used by Amy Klobuchar and Kamala Harris.
Former HUD Secretary Julian Castro, who is 5’9?, was still appeared shorter than former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke (6’4?), who stood on his right.
People watching the debate quickly noticed Julian Castro’s booster box, and didn’t wait long to tell everyone on social media about it.
Many Democrat voters claimed that they were disappoint that the economy wasn’t the subject of a single question in the long debate.
So it appears that the Democrats are going to have a hard time picking a candidate that can go head to head with President Trump, especially after his big success with the economy.
