March For Life Praises Trump For Becoming First U.S. President To Attend Rally, Massive Attendance Is Expected

President Trump will make history when he becomes the first president to speak at the 2020 March for Life Rally in Washington, D.C. tomorrow (Jan. 24). Attendance at the pro-life event is expected to top hundreds of thousands of people.

President Trump tweeted that he will be joining the crowd on Friday.

March for Life responded by saying: “Thank you, President Trump, for being a voice for the unborn and continuously working to build a culture of life.”

In a statement, March for Life president Jeanne Mancini said:

“We are deeply honored to welcome President Trump to the 47th annual March for Life. He will be the first president in history to attend and we are so excited for him to experience in person how passionate our marchers are about life and protecting the unborn.”

“From the appointment of pro-life judges and federal workers, to cutting taxpayer funding for abortions here and abroad, to calling for an end to late-term abortions, President Trump and his Administration have been consistent champions for life and their support for the March for Life has been unwavering.”

Last year about 100,000 people attended March for Life’s rally. More pro-lifers are expected to descend on Washington this year.

Abortion provider Planned Parenthood receives about $543 million in taxpayer-funded federal aid each year.

Pro-life activists are very angry that taxpayer money are being used to abort babies — even those in the third trimester of pregnancy who are crowning.

At the 2019 State of the Union address, President Trump urged Congress to pass legislation that would outlaw inhumane, late-term abortions. At the same time, President Trump became the first U.S. president to call for nationwide paid family leave:

“I am proud to be the first President to include in my budget a plan for nationwide paid family leave, so that every new parent has the chance to bond with their newborn child.”

“There could be no greater contrast to the beautiful image of a mother holding her infant child than the chilling displays our nation saw in recent days. Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother’s womb moments from birth.”

“These are living, feeling, beautiful babies who will never get the chance to share their love and their dreams with the world. And then, we had the case of the Governor of Virginia where he stated he would execute a baby after birth.

“To defend the dignity of every person, I am asking Congress to pass legislation to prohibit the late-term abortion of children who can feel pain in the mother’s womb. Let us work together to build a culture that cherishes innocent life.”
