Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Caught In a Lie About Abortion Bill – Runs Away When Called On It

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez got caught in a lie about the Alabama abortion bill and did gymnastics to get out of it when she got torched.

“Alabama lawmakers are making all abortions a felony punishable w jailtime, incl women victimized by rape+incest.” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted.

“Of course, no added punishments for rapists. It’s going to @GovernorKayIvey‘s desk. She will decide the future of women’s rights in Alabama,” she said.

AOC posted this tweet before Republican Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey signed the bill into law in a move that sent pro-abortion advocates into a frenzy.

It is the most restrictive anti-abortion bill in the nation and even some on the pro-life side have stated that the law is too extreme.

But nowhere in the law does it say what Rep. Ocasio-Cortez says it does. Women will not be punished or prosecuted for having an abortion.

“This is a lie. Under no circumstances would women be jailed for abortions. The abortionist would be penalized.” One America News anchor Liz Wheeler said.

“Tell the truth, @AOC. You’re trying to scare women into supporting abortion. Why don’t you tell the truth & see if women support your extreme abortion agenda then?” She posted.

“It’s a felony punishable by jail, incl cases of women pregnant by rape or incest. Twitter is 280 chars – read the context clues in grammar of the tweet.” Ocasio-Cortez fired back.

“But good to know you’re here to promote criminalizing medical providers aiding victims of rape and incest! 👍🏽 good job,” she added.

“280 characters is plenty of room to tell truth. It’d never be a felony for women. Period,” Wheeler shot back at the 29-year-old.

“It’s despicable to use victims of child rape as justification for 1M abortions every year… because you Dems aren’t seeking exemption for rape/incest, you want all abortion legal always,” she said.

“Actually it would be a felony for women – if those women are medical providers. See? According to your own semantic standard, you “lied.” Replied AOC.

“We can fact-check obvious semantics all day and make absurd bad faith claims if that’s how you want be. But I have better uses for my time,” Ocasio-Cortez said, running from the argument after she got destroyed.

“Abortion is a death sentence for innocent unborn women, do you care? This is what leftstis do: when they’re trapped in their lies they claim “bad faith” as an excuse to run away.” Wheeler responded.

“Instead, why don’t you answer this: when does life begin? And what right do we have to end that life?” She added.

Ocasio-Cortez Ignites Twitter Storm After She Instantly Politicized The Synagogue Shooting

Many users on social media slammed socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Saturday after she attacked the Republican-controlled Senate and pushed for gun control in the wake of the horrible white nationalist attack on a synagogue in California, which left one person dead and three others injured.

19-year-old terrorist opened fire on innocent people inside the Chabad of Poway synagogue before being shot at by an off duty U.S. Border Patrol agent who is now said to have prevented a much worse tragedy from taking place.

Immediately after the tragic attack, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted: “Heartbroken to hear of the San Diego synagogue shooting, particularly so on this final day of Passover. We have a responsibility to love + protect our neighbors. The longer the Senate delays holding a vote on #HR8, the more we put Americans at risk.”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez completely ignored the Easter day Islamic terrorist attacks at churches in Sri Lanka that killed hundreds of Christians, but the freshman Democrat didn’t wait long to politicized the terrorist attacks on mosques in New Zealand last month, which suggests that she only appears to weigh in on a tragedy when she can politicize it.

According to early reports, both the synagogue attack and the New Zealand mosque attacks were carried out by openly white supremacist terrorists armed with guns. The Sri Lankan church attacks were carried out by radical Islamic terrorists armed with suicide vests and car bombs.

Twitter users also didn’t wait long to reply to Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s push for “universal background checks.”

“Bodies aren’t even cold and you’re standing on their graves to promote legislation that won’t have any effect,” Ben McDonald tweeted.

“You just embraced the anti-Semites Jeremy Corbyn and Ilhan Omar,” Hillel Neuer tweeted. “Perhaps today you should just remain silent, unless you wish to apologize for your actions.”

“Please stop trying to exploit the spilling of Jewish blood to push a partisan agenda,” AG Conservative tweeted. “Especially since you know none of the facts, the shooting happened in a state that already has strong gun control laws, and you have a history of excusing anti-Semitism.”

She went from Zero to Politics in no time,” Imam Mohamad Tawhidi tweeted.

“Can really tell how heartbroken you are by the way you’re using a targeted Synagogue shooting to push your own legislation,” Harry Khachatrian tweeted.

https://twitter.com/Harry1T6/status/1122255624945823744

“Less than 3 hours since the shooting and you’re using it to push your legislation?” writer Jeryl Bier tweeted.

“She’s using Jewish blood to push a vote in the Senate,” Republican strategist Arthur Schwartz tweeted.

https://twitter.com/ArthurSchwartz/status/1122251620828446727

“Horrific indeed,” Arsen Ostrovsky tweeted. “And Members of Congress must lead by example, including condemning and speaking out unequivocally against Antisemitism – including when it is done within your own party, not excusing and defending it!”

The Blaze’s Jason Howerton tweeted: “An armed hero stopped the shooter and prevented what could have been and even more horrific loss of life. California already has draconian gun laws. How is your answer ‘more gun control?'”

https://twitter.com/jason_howerton/status/1122323337492029441

It’ worth noting that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly defended and supported notorious anti-Semites, including Rep. Ilhan Omar, far-left activist Linda Sarsour, and British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Ocasio-Cortez Takes Aim At Republicans – Hits The Democrats Instead

On Thursday, Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked a Democratic colleague in the House after apparently mistaking him for a Republican.

She took a shot at Democratic Kentucky Rep. John Yarmuth on Twitter for taking a photo while posing next to a cardboard cutout of herself. Ocasio-Cortez appeared to think Yarmuth, who is the chairman of the House Budget Committee, is a Republican.

The freshman congresswoman’s attacked Yarmuth after the Republican Party of Kentucky posted a picture on Twitter of Yarmuth standing next to the Ocasio-Cortez cutout.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez accused Republicans of posing “older male members next to cardboard cutouts of young female legislators,” seemingly not realizing that Yarmuth is a Democrat.

Ocasio-Cortez deleted her post on Twitter after she was mocked online for the error.

This wasn’t the first time she spread misinformation on social media, where she has more than 4 million followers.

Ocasio-Cortez launched another false accusation against a Republican operative back in February, accusing him — without any evidence — of running “a multimillion dollar operation to have bot accounts manipulate online discourse.”

She also made a series of false claims in March in an attempt to discredit a string of ethics complaints that watchdog groups have filed against her.

Ocasio-Cortez’s Chief-of-Staff Claims Criminals Should Vote From Prison Because They’re ‘Most Affected By Unjust Laws’

On Wednesday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s chief-of-staff Saikat Chakrabarti stated that incarcerated criminals should be able to vote because they are “the people most affected by unjust laws.”

Chakrabarti’s remarks came after Democratic presidential candidates came forward with the idea of allowing terrorists, murderers, rapists, and pedophiles to vote in elections during a series of CNN town halls on Monday.

“What’s the reason NOT to let incarcerated people vote?” Chakrabarti tweeted. “Shouldn’t the people most affected by unjust laws have some say in electing people to change them?”

https://twitter.com/saikatc/status/1121029236607864832?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1121029236607864832&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dailywire.com%2Fnews%2F46387%2Faocs-chief-staff-criminals-prison-should-vote-ryan-saavedra

Chakrabarti’s tweet received heat on social media from many users, here are some of the responses.

Dana Loesch: “Who knew the law against putting a bomb by an 8-year-old and blowing people up was unjust?”

Jeryl Bier: “Why is it that the default assumption is that most people in prison are there unjustly?”

Andrew Follett: “Are you implying that the Boston marathon bomber was unjustly incarcerated? As that was the explicit question that prompted this?”

Chakrabarti has been slammed down by scandals since entering the spotlight with Rep. Ocasio-Cortez.

He was accused of funneling over $1 million in political donations to his own private companies. And Rep. Ocasio-Cortez and Chakrabarti also “obtained majority control of Justice Democrats PAC in December 2017, according to archived copies of the group’s website, and the two appear to retain their control of the group,” as The Daily Caller reported.

“If the Federal Election Commission (FEC) finds that the New York Democrat’s campaign operated in affiliation with the PAC, which had raised more than $1.8 million before her June 2018 primary, it would open them up to ‘massive reporting violations, probably at least some illegal contribution violations exceeding the lawful limits,’ former FEC commissioner Brad Smith said,” The Caller added.

“Ocasio-Cortez never disclosed to the FEC that she and Chakrabarti, who served as her campaign chair, controlled the PAC while it was simultaneously supporting her primary campaign, and former FEC commissioners say the arrangement could lead to multiple campaign finance violations. The group backed 12 Democrats during the 2018 midterms, but Ocasio-Cortez was the only one of those to win her general election.” they added.

Former FEC commissioner Brad Smith said for The Caller: “If this were determined to be knowing and willful, they could be facing jail time. Even if it’s not knowing and willful, it would be a clear civil violation of the act, which would require disgorgement of the contributions and civil penalties. I think they’ve got some real issues here.”

“At minimum, there’s a lot of smoke there, and if there are really only three board members and she and [Chakrabarti] are two of them, sure looks like you can see the blaze. I don’t really see any way out of it,” Smith continued.

“The admission makes it open and shut if someone wants to file a complaint with the FEC. I don’t see how the FEC could not investigate that. We’ve even got their own statement on their website that they control the organization. I don’t see how you could avoid an investigation on that.”

Ocasio-Cortez Slammed PM Netanyahu Calling Him ‘A Trump-Like Figure’ And Suggested Cutting US Investments Into Israel’s Military

Last Sunday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him “a Trump-like figure.” In an interview to the Yahoo News “Skullduggery” podcast, Ocasio-Cortez added that Netanyahu’s re-election is a part of “the ascent of authoritarianism across the world.”

When asked if she believes that Netanyahu’s talk about annexing parts of the West Bank should affect the United States policy towards Israel, the congresswoman responded: “I think so,” and said that “conversations are happening in our caucus.”

Ocasio-Cortez also gave a surprising answer to the question if she would support a move to cut military or economic aid to Israel when answered: “I think it’s certainly on the table.”

Last Friday, four of the most active supporters of Israel among House Democrats issued a rare public statement, warning from a possible move by Israel to annex the West Bank.

the four, Rep. Eliot L. Engel, chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Rep. Nita Lowey, chairwoman of the House Committee on Appropriations, Rep. Ted Deutch, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and International Terrorism and Rep. Brad Schneider, signaled that Democrats would oppose annexation, creating a potential confrontation in the future between the Israeli government and pro-Israel Democrats in Congress.

“As strong, life-long supporters of Israel, a US-Israel relationship rooted in our shared values, and the two-state solution, we are greatly concerned by the possibility of Israel taking unilateral steps to annex the West Bank,” the four stated. They called for direct negotiation and reaffirmed their support for the two-state solution.

In an interview on Friday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s talk about annexing parts of the West Bank won’t heart President Donald Trump’s upcoming peace plan.

When asked if he thinks that Netanyahu’s vow to annex the West Bank might hurt the pursuit of peace by CNN’s Jake Tapper, Pompeo responded: “I don’t. I think that the vision that we’ll layout is going to represent a significant change from the model that’s been used.”

Pompeo also added that “we’ve had a lot of ideas for 40 years; they did not deliver peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians. Our mission set is to put forward a vision. Ultimately, the Israelis and the Palestinian people will have to make this – resolve this for themselves.”

During the last days of his reelection campaign, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he will consider annexing parts of the West Bank after the elections. The White House remained silent on that issue so far.

Mike Pompeo didn’t provide new details about the plan, but told Tapper that the administration’s vision to peace is “different” and “unique,” and that it would be a vision “that tries to re-frame and reshape what’s been an intractable problem that multiple administrations have grappled with, multiple administrations in Israel as well. We hope that we can get to a better place. Everyone wants this conflict resolved. We want a better life for the Israelis without this conflict, and we certainly want a better life for the people of – the Palestinian people, both in the West Bank and in Gaza.”

Ocasio-Cortez Accidentally Admitted Trump Is Right, There IS a National Emergency Crisis At The Border

Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is being cheered by her critics after she made an attempt to sound the alarm about the situation at the southern border, but her accidental argument went in favor of President Trump’s national emergency declaration.

On Tuesday, the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives failed to override the president’s veto of a resolution canceling his declaration of a national emergency at the border with Mexico, falling short of the two-thirds vote required with a final vote of 248-181.

The Dems have repeatedly argued that the situation at the border is not a crisis and thus does not merit a national emergency declaration. However, this Thursday, Ocasio-Cortez, known as ardent Trump administration critic and one of the leaders of the #AbolishICE movement, made an early morning tweet in which she highlighted just how overwhelmed our immigration system has become on account of the continued influx of migrants in recent months.

“Look at this picture,” the freshman congresswoman wrote, referencing an image of migrants behind fences under an overpass. “When you’re looking at this photo, you’re looking at a mirror. This is America. This is Texas. This is our the course of action, the one we chose. I cannot and will not accept it.”

The picture comes from a tweet by Nick Miroff, who writes in his caption: “This is El Paso right now, where hundreds of migrant families are being held in the parking lot of a Border Patrol station because there is no room for them inside, or anywhere else.”

Like hundreds of her social media posts, her immigrant post has gained the attention of many online users, including over at Twitchy, which notes that Ocasio-Cortez appears to have just made the conservative case that there is in fact a “crisis at the southern border” that requires, as President Trump argues, some “emergency” actions.

“Soooo, you’re saying it IS a crisis: AOC just accidentally admitted Trump is right, there IS a National Emergency at the border,” Twitchy’s title for its coverage of the tweet reads.

“This is an issue, but this is not an issue of family separation, Nick Miroff – if correct says these are migrant families,” writes KUTV reporter Heidi Hatch responding to AOC’s tweet. “The question is what to do with these families. No country has neighborhoods with empty homes ready to take families in the second they walk across a border.”

“I’m from Uganda. Immigration must be done legally,” writes one follower. “They are there because they went for the illegal method. If you do something illegal you receive consequences. If you’re in charge @AOC how do you deal with this situation?”

“Perhaps that photo will actually DISCOURAGE more people from breaking the law,” writes one AOC critic. “Apparently fostering a conducive environment that lures unaccompanied children to risk illegal border cross and fall prey to traffickers ISN’T an emergency,” writes another. “Omg there’s a crisis at the border,” added one Twitter user. “Well said….now AOC admits it….” replied another.

While President Trump hasn’t replied to the congresswoman’s tweet directly, he did issue his own “border crisis”-themed tweet early Thursday morning.

“Mexico is doing NOTHING to help stop the flow of illegal immigrants to our Country,” Trump wrote in a series of tweets slamming his political opponents. “They are all talk and no action. Likewise, Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador have taken our money for years, and do Nothing. The Dems don’t care, such BAD laws. May close the Southern Border!”

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez Claims There Are Still Grounds To Impeach The President

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims President Trump can still be impeached even though special counsel Mueller has wrapped up the investigation into the alleged Russian collusion.

“I think that there’s grounds for impeachment even independent of the Mueller report—particularly with the emoluments clause [of the Constitution],” Ocasio-Cortez told a reporter on Tuesday.

NBC News reported last week that a federal appeals court asked DC lawyers and Maryland about their claims that President Donald Trump is violating the Constitution by accepting profits via foreign and domestic officials who stay at the Trump Hotel.

The New York Democrat was not the only Democrat talking about what President Trump could possibly be investigated for next.

“This is about much more than just collusion. And so, from his point of view, he captured that message with just one word. Well, so, from his point of view, it’s all over, but for us it’s about collusion—it’s about conspiracy, it’s about corruption, it’s about abuse of power and it’s about obstructing justice,” Democratic Rep. Karen Bass from California said Monday.

The Dems appeared unconcerned about any investigation fatigue among the American people as their party plans to continue rolling out their legislative agenda while investigating the administration and prepare to campaign for 2020.

Democratic Rhode Island Rep. David Cicilline responded, “ I think we have to be responsible in the way we do it and kind of organized in the way that we are presenting this to the American people. But we don’t have the luxury of not doing it. Like, even if people get fatigued, we have a constitutional responsibility to do this work. I think the American people expect us to do it.”

However, Karen Bass placed the onus on what the media chooses to cover going forward.

“[The investigations] would suck the air out of the room if we weren’t doing anything, but we actually need all of your help, too, so that when we do pass legislation related to guns, when we do have a hearing over the Violence Against Women Act, when we do have a hearing over of voting rights, that it’s actually covered. So, we’re doing work but it is a question of what the media chooses to cover.”

Ocasio-Cortez Is Taking Fire On Twitter For Mocking The ‘Thoughts and Prayers’ To New Zealand Shooting Victims

Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ignited another online outrage for a tweet she published Thursday night that took aim at those sending “thoughts and prayers” to the tragic victims of the Friday mass shootings at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand in which 49 people were killed and more than 20 others were seriously injured.

In her tweet, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez reacted to the comments made by New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern by taking shots at everyone sending “thoughts and prayers” to the victims of the tragedy.

“At 1st I thought of saying, ‘Imagine being told your house of faith isn’t safe anymore.’ But I couldn’t say ‘imagine.’ Because of Charleston. Pittsburgh. Sutherland Springs.” she posted on Twitter.

In the tweet, Ocasio-Cortez was referring to the mass shootings that took place at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston, South Carolina back in 2015, the 2017 shooting at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, Texas and the 2018 Tree of Life Synagogue shooting in Squirrel Hill.

She went on to ask in the tweet, “What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don’t even keep the pews safe?”

Ocasio-Cortez followed up her tweet with posting another, saying that “this is a time of great vulnerability for our communities”

This is a time of great vulnerability for our communities.

We must come together, fight for each other, & stand up for neighbors.

Isolation, dehumanizing stereotypes, hysterical conspiracy theories, & hatred ultimately lead to the anarchy of violence.

We cannot stand for it.— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) March 15, 2019

“[w]e must come together, fight for each other, & stand up for neighbors.” she added.

In less than no time, The New York Democrat’s original tweet accumulated a lot of negative attention online, with many Twitter users slamming Rep. Ocasio-Cortez for her remarks.

imagine thinking it’d be a good idea to attack prayer after a terrorist attack on a place that only exists because people pray— Caleb Hull (@CalebJHull) March 15, 2019

If one of your first 1000 thoughts after a horrific mass shooting is to go dunk on a person, a religious belief or an organization on Twitter, you should delete your account.Posted another user.

Im saddened you make such incredibly divisive comments in a time of pain for us here in Christchurch, New Zealand. 😢— Andre Linton (@andre_linton) March 15, 2019

These poor, innocent people were murdered by a despicable terrorist in their house of prayer, and you choose to denigrate prayer in the aftermath? What is wrong with you? said a Twitter post.

Freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez quickly responded to her own tweet claiming, “‘Thoughts and prayers’ is reference to the NRA’s phrase used to deflect conversation away from policy change during tragedies.”

(“Thoughts and prayers” is reference to the NRA’s phrase used to deflect conversation away from policy change during tragedies. Not directed to PM Ardern, who I greatly admire.)— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) March 15, 2019

49 people lost their lives in a pair of coordinated mass shootings at mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. 3 individuals were arrested in connection with the shootings. One of the individuals is expected in court on Saturday.
