Buttigieg Claims He Doesn’t Regret Saying Trump Supporters Ignore Racism “At Best”

2020 Democrat Pete Buttigieg doesn’t regret claiming that President Trump’s supporters were “at best looking the other way on racism.”

Back in August, Buttigieg said that he believes supporting President Trump means voters are willing to ignore racism. He explained, “Basically what he’s saying is, ‘All right, I want you to look the other way on the racism, tolerate the negativity, accept the instability of my administration because I’m going to deliver for you job growth almost as good as the Obama years.’ That’s what his argument amounts to right now, and it’s part of the reason why he’s unpopular.”

On Sunday, during an interview on State of the Union, CNN host Jake Tapper asked if claiming that the 63 million voters who supported Trump were ignoring racism was a “broad brush” argument that he regrets. The former South Bend, Indiana, mayor, however, reinforced his remarks.

“No, I am very concerned about the racial division that this president has fostered. And I’m meeting a lot of voters who are no longer willing to look the other way on that, looking for a new political home,” Buttigieg explained.

“And that is one of the reasons why we have seen so many people, in addition to the die-hard Democrats who are coming to our events, we are seeing the independents and a remarkable number of people who tell me that they are those future, former Republicans that I like to talk about in our campaign.”

He added, “It’s not that I am pretending to be more conservative than I am. It’s that if we don’t agree on everything, we can at least agree on turning the page and moving past what this president has done to this country.”

The Washington Examiner also reported that Buttigieg has struggled to gain support from black voters throughout his campaign.

According to RealClearPolitics polling averages, he’s in 3rd place in Iowa and New Hampshire but slumps to fifth place in South Carolina, which has a higher population of black voters.

Lindsey Graham Vows To Investigate Adam Schiff & His Team: “I Want To Understand How This Crap Started”

Sen. Lindsey Graham came out firing yesterday on Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures and made some of President Trump’s enemies very nervous.

Graham went after the Bidens, the FISA courts, Rod Rosenstein and Adam Schiff promising Senate investigations on the whole lot.

“The Senate Intel Committee under Richard Burr has told us that they will call the whistleblower,” the South Carolina Republican today,” said Sen. Graham.

“I want to understand how all this crap started,” Graham added before pointing at the Bidens and Adam Schiff.

“If the whistleblower is a former employee of or associate of Joe Biden, I think that would be important.”

“If the whistleblower was working with people on Schiff’s staff that wanted to take Trump down a year-and-a-half ago, I think that would be important.”

“If the Schiff staff people helped write the complaint that would be important.”

“We’re going to get to the bottom of all of this to make sure this never happens again,” Sen. Graham said.

Schiff Claims The Dems “Have Proved” Impeachment Case Against President Trump

On Sunday, Democratic California Rep. Adam Schiff claimed that House Democrats “have proved” their impeachment case against President Trump.

The chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, also suggested in the same interview on CBS News’ “Face the Nation,” that some Republican senators also believe House Democrats “proved” their case and that President Trump is planning to “cheat in the next election.”

“What is remarkable is that you now have Republican senators coming out and saying, ‘Yes, the House proved its case. The House proved the corrupt scheme that they’ve charged in the articles of impeachment, the president did withhold hundreds of millions of dollars from an ally to try to coerce that ally into helping him cheat in the next election’ … I think it’s enormously important that the country understand exactly what this president did and we have proved it.”

However, those GOP senators who contemplated extending the Senate trial with witnesses didn’t say they believed the Democrats proved President Trump committed an impeachable offense nor that he had plans to cheat in the 2020 presidential election.

Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski said in a statement, “Given the partisan nature of this impeachment from the very beginning and throughout, I have come to the conclusion that there will be no fair trial in the Senate.”

Without explaining how, Adam Schiff repeated his claim that “[Trump] is threatening to still cheat in the next election.”

“I still think it is enormously important that the president was impeached because the country is moving away from its democratic ideals … By standing up to this president we are helping to slow the momentum away from our Democratic values,” Schiff added.

Even though it was rejected by the Mueller report, Schiff recently resurrected the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy after he had admitted he had no evidence to substantiate the claim that the Trump campaign worked with Russia to help win the 2016 presidential election, as the Daily Caller reported.

During his opening statement at the impeachment inquiry, Adam Schiff fabricated the contents of a phone call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 25, 2019.

Joni Ernst Shuts Down Jake Tapper On CNN: Obama’s Russia Deal Was More Impeachable Than Trump’s Actions

Joni Ernst dropped the hammer on former president Obama and defended Donald Trump on CNN today.

“Whether you like what the president has done or not — we can argue this up one side and down the other all day — does it come to the point of removing a president from office?” She asked.

“I don’t believe this does. I’ll tie it back to Obama and his hot mic moment with the former president of Russia, where he literally said give me some space in my election. Oops, OK, talking about elections.”

Tapper said, “He was talking about missile defense.”

Ernst shot back, “Yes but a missile defense that the Congress wanted him to build up make much more robust protect America citizens and President Obama choose not to do that as long as the Russians gave him space in the elections.”

“That nobody brought up for impeachment. So the very fact that because aid was held for about two months because there was not an official White House meeting, people are wanting to impeach this president.”

“What President Trump did it didn’t rise to the level of what President Obama did,” she added shutting down Jake Tapper.

“Generally speaking going after corruption would be the right thing to do, he did it maybe in the wrong manner,” she added later.

“But I think he could have done it through different channels.”

“Now this is the argument is that he should have probably gone to the DOJ, he should have worked through the entities, but he chose a different route.”

“The President has a lot of latitude to do what he wants to do. Again, not what I would have done, but certainly again going after corruption,” she said.

Jake Tapper asked Joni is the story will hurt Joe Biden in Iowa:

“That does seem to undermine the argument that this wasn’t about electoral politics given that you are saying you want to see how the mention of Joe and Hunter Biden — and we should point out there’s no evidence that anybody did anything illegal regarding the Bidens and Ukraine, and Joe Biden was carrying out U.S. policy — but it does seem to suggest that you think that this could have an effect?”

She replied, “I think this does. Whether that was the intention or not, now everything is tied together.”

“The information about the Bidens is out there. And so now it is up to the American people to decide, you know, was that a good choice for Hunter Biden to be on that board, especially at a time when his father was trying to ferret out corruption in Ukraine, having a son working for the most corrupt oligarch in Ukraine.”

“You Are The Hillary Of 2020” – Man Wearing “Settle For Biden” Shirt Trolls Sleepy Joe At Campaign

Poor Sleepy Joe just cannot catch a break, despite being the sweetheart of the Democrat establishment. At one of his campaign stops in Iowa, a man emerged from the “crowd” wearing a shirt reading “Settle For Biden.”

The man goes, “Mr. Vice President I just want to say you’re a fine candidate and I’m planning on settling for Biden in 2020. I think you could also, for Biden, and be the Hillary of 2020.”

Turns out this man was part of a comedy duo who was trolling Joe Biden, as Mediaite elaborates.

Vice President Biden held a town hall in North Liberty, Iowa after securing the endorsement of the Amalgamated Transit Union on Saturday, and several minutes into his remarks was interrupted by a young man in the audience.

“Mr. Vice President, my wife recently left me, she is divorcing me, what can I do to get her back?” said the young man, who turned out to be Jason Selvig of the comedy duo The Good Liars.

“What advice could you give somebody like me to get her back?” Selvig asked.

“I’ll talk to you afterwards okay?” Biden said, adding “I’m happy to, I promise I’ll talk to you afterwards, all right?”

“Well, could we just get this out right now because we’re, you know we’re live,” Selvig said.

“No, no we’re live,” Biden said, then cracked “I’m beginning to see why your wife left you.”

Several minutes later, a man who turned out to be Davram Stiefler — the other allegedly Good Liar — stood up and said “Mr. Vice President I just want to say you’re a fine candidate and I’m planning on settling for Biden in 2020.”

As the crowd jeered at him to “Sit down,” Stiefler added “I think you could also, for Biden, and be the Hillary of 2020.”

The crowd stared chanting “LET’S GO JOE! LET’S GO JOE!” to drown the guy out and support The Sleepy One. The comedy duo ‘Good Liars’ are known more for trolling Republican candidates.

Dems Viciously Attack Trump As Racist After Travel Ban Expanded To Six New Countries

The Dems criticized the White House announcement that the U.S. will add 6 more countries to a controversial travel ban that originally was called a “Muslim ban” by the left, and that Biden called a new “African Ban” on Saturday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi led the charge in opposition to the travel ban expansion, describing it as “discrimination disguised as policy.”

“The Trump administration’s expansion of its outrageous, un-American travel ban threatens our security, our values and the rule of law,” her statement reads. “The sweeping rule, barring more than 350 million individuals from predominantly African nations from traveling to the United States, is discrimination disguised as policy.”

It was also no surprise when she added that Democrats will do all in their power to resist the president. “In the Congress and in the Courts, House Democrats will continue to oppose the Administration’s dangerous anti-immigrant agenda. In the coming weeks, the House Judiciary Committee will mark-up and bring to the Floor the NO BAN Act to prohibit religious discrimination in our immigration system and limit the President’s ability to impose such biased and bigoted restrictions.”

On Friday, Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf told reporters that after a “systematic review” of all countries, 6 nations were added to the travel ban list: Burma, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan, and Tanzania.

Prior to this expansion, restrictions on immigrant and non-immigrant visas were in place for seven countries, to include Iran, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen.

According to Wolf, the additional 6 nations have lighter restrictions than the original 7. “These countries, for the most part, want to be helpful, want to do the right thing, have relationships with the U.S. and are in some cases improving relations, but for a variety of different reasons failed to meet those minimum requirements that we laid out,” he said. “And really the only way to mitigate the risk is to impose these travel restrictions.”

Several 2020 Democrat candidates took the opportunity to voice their latest outrage against President Trump and the expanded travel ban.

Elizabeth Warren called it a “racist, xenophobic Muslim Ban” and promised to reverse it if she is elected.

Bernie Sanders claimed the ban is a “racist travel policy that dehumanizes immigrants and their families for [Trump’s] own political purposes.”

Joe Biden called the ban a “direct betrayal of America’s most fundamental freedom: religious freedom.”

Biden also added another race-baiting tweet, saying the expanded ban is an “‘African Ban,’ … designed to make it harder for black and brown people to immigrate to the United States.”

Pelosi Crossed The Line With Attack On John Roberts, Claims Mitch McConnell Humiliated Him At Impeachment Trial

Nancy Pelosi crossed the line with a new and quite scandalous attack on Chief Justice John Roberts. Pelosi also ripped Mitch McConnell but saved her real venom for Roberts.

“It is a sad day for America to see Senator McConnell humiliate the Chief Justice of the United States into presiding over a vote which rejected our nation’s judicial norms, precedents and institutions which uphold the Constitution and the rule of law,” she tweeted.

And she didn’t stop there, she also said the President Trump’s lawyers should lose their law licenses for making their arguments and beating Adam Schiff at his own game.

“He will not be acquitted. You cannot be acquitted if you don’t have a trial, and you don’t have a trial if you don’t have witnesses and documentation,” she said.

“Some of them are even lawyers,” she said. “Imagine that you would say — ever, of any president, no matter who he or she is or whatever party — if the president thinks that his or her presidency … is good for the country, then any action is justified — including encouraging a foreign government to have an impact on our elections.”

“That is exactly what our Founders were opposed to — and they feared,” she said.

“I don’t think they made the case. I think they disgraced themselves terribly in terms of their violation of what our Constitution is about and what a president’s behavior should be,” Pelosi continued.

“I don’t know how they can retain their lawyer status, in the comments that they’re making,” Pelosi told reporters in the Capitol.

“Bunch Of Partisan Bulls**t” – Sen. Graham Claims Impeachment Will Blows Up In Dems’ Faces

On Friday, Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham said that he hoped President Trump’s impeachment would “blow up” in Democrats’ faces.

Hours after the Senate voted against calling for new witnesses and documents in President Trump’s impeachment trial, Sen. Graham spoke with Fox News host Sean Hannity about what would come next.

The Daily Caller reported that Sen. Graham began by saying that he would have preferred a vote to acquit immediately following the vote to deny additional witnesses but conceded that it may just not have been possible.

“You know, Mitch McConnell did a fabulous job. You have 100 people in the Senate and you have to deal with them all. That is the best he can do,” Graham said.

“They have a lot of ability to drag this thing out really forever,” Graham continued, adding that the vote had been set for Wednesday. “I wish it would be sooner. But you have Alan Dershowitz, Ted Cruz was awesome, Trey Gowdy is so smart. I went to the school of hard knocks, and you know what I believe about all of this?”

“It was a bunch of partisan bulls**t in the House that continued in the Senate, and the president will get acquitted. It will blow up in their face and I think that’s what this is all about.”

Hannity continued the attack on the Democrats, asking, “Can you name a single thing the Democrats have done in the last three years to make us more safe, secure and create jobs and prosperity? I can’t think of anything.”

Sen. Graham gave the Dems a little more credit, pointing out the fact that they had worked with the president on the USMCA and prison reform. “But you have to realize that President Trump has done a lot of bipartisan things despite people hating his guts. But the reason this is B.S., Sean, it took 78 days in the House impeaching the President of the United States. During that time Schiff led the investigation and the president could not call one witness on his behalf, could not cross-examine anybody. He was shut out. Most of it was hearsay. So it defies basic fairness.”

He went on to say that the Dems had gone on to complain that the Senate was unfair if they didn’t call witnesses that the House hadn’t called. “You know why they didn’t call Mulvaney and Bolton and others in the House, Sean?” Sen. Graham asked.

“You know why they didn’t? Because it would get in the way of them impeaching the president before the election. Their goal is not to remove him from office, but put a black mark on his record. And I hope it blows up in their face.”

CPAC Chairman: Sen. Mitt Romney Is “NOT Invited” To Upcoming Event After He Voted For Witnesses

Republican Sen. Mitt Romney’s decision to side with the Dems and vote for witnesses in Trump’s impeachment trial earned him much criticism and now a dis-invitation.

The Utah lawmaker was “formally not invited” to attend this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, referred to as CPAC, after his stunt in a Senate vote Friday when he voted in favor of hearing from witnesses in Trump’s impeachment trial.

“The ‘extreme conservative’ and Junior Senator from the great state of Utah, @SenatorRomney is formally NOT invited to #CPAC2020,” American Conservative Union Chairman Matt Schlapp said in a mocking tweet on Friday.

The conservative conference scheduled for the end of the month will feature President Donald Trump as the keynote speaker.

Romney and Susan Collins were the only Republicans who voted with the Dems on Friday in the failed attempt to allow additional witnesses to be heard in the trial. The final vote of 51-49 shot down a weeks-long Democratic effort to hear witnesses, such as former national security adviser John Bolton and others, and set the stage for a final vote to acquit the president next week.

Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska were ultimately the swing GOP votes, sticking with the party and voting against the effort while the Dems began to discredit the process as a “sham.” Sen. Romney, who is not up for reelection until 2024, was roundly condemned for bucking the party though some, like Utah’s Republican senior Senator Mike Lee did come to his defense.

Lee is a frequent CPAC attendee as is Mitt Romney who has spoken at the annual conservative gathering in the past, including in 2013, following his 2012 failed presidential bid. It was not clear if the former Massachusetts governor was even planning to attend this year’s event which will include Diamond and Silk, Candace Owens and Devin Nunes as speakers as well as conservative commentator Mark Levin, and Brexit leader Nigel Farage.

Many conservatives on Twitter were happy to see the Utah senator get called out.

Sarah Sanders Rips Nancy Pelosi For “Malpractice” – Claims Impeachment Is “The Dumbest Political Move In Long Time”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Ripped Nancy Pelosi over the botched impeachment the Democrats insisted on rushing through Congress.

Sanders held nothing back and accused Pelosi of malpractice before calling this blunder one of the dumbest political moves in a long time.

“The economy is booming. America is doing better under this president and, I think, finishing the trial is a great lead-in to next week where the president will stand in front of Nancy Pelosi fully vindicated when he gives the State of the Union,” said Sarah Sanders today on Fox News.

President Trump and his team are hoping for a Tuesday vote at the latest so it comes before the State of the Union.

Regardless, Trump will be acquitted in short order which left Sarah wondering after Nancy Pelosi’s political smarts.

“I’ll never begin to understand much of what Nancy Pelosi does and this one is certainly mind-blowing for everyone.”

“They forced impeachment down everyone throats — said it was an emergency — ‘we had to do it right now’ — ‘this had to take place today’ and then they sat on it for nearly a month,” Sanders added.

“It is absolutely ridiculous and malpractice and I think it will go down as one of the dumbest political moves that we’ve seen in a long time.”
