California Rep. Adam Schiff revealed that he would not stop investigating President Donald Trump even after his committee’s impeachment report is filed.
The House Intelligence Committee, which Adam Schiff chairs, has started working on its impeachment report following testimonies from several witnesses.
The report is supposed to include the findings of the House Intelligence Committee to be presented to the House Judiciary Committee and move the impeachment process forward.
However, Rep. Adam Schiff explained that he would continue to use the committee to investigate the President on issues related to impeachment even after he hands off the Intelligence Committee report to Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler.
On Sunday, Schiff appeared in an interview on “State of the Union”, and said that he would not wait to get a court ruling demanding testimony from several firsthand witnesses, including the depositions of Mike Pence, Mike Pompeo and Rudy Giuliani.
“Yes, we would love to have the witnesses to come in, but we’re not willing to simply allow them to wait us out, to stall this proceeding when the facts are already overwhelming,” said Rep. Adam Schiff.
“We’re going to continue our investigation. We’re going to continue to pursue the documents,” he added.
As the Washington Examiner reported, host Jake Tapper questioned Schiff’s statement, asking, “Even after you’ve handed in the report, you’re going to continue?”
“Yes. Oh, yes,” Rep. Adam Schiff said. “The investigation isn’t going to end.”
On Saturday, President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani snapped at Fox News host Ed Henry during an interview, accusing him of covering up news about Joe Biden and Ukraine.
“Are you afraid, Mr. Mayor that you could be indicted?” Henry asked, as the Daily Caller reported.
“Oh, wow, how long have you known me, Ed?” Rudy Giuliani said, adding, “Do you think I’m afraid? Do you think I get afraid? I did the right thing. I represented my client in a very, very effective way. I was so effective that I’ve discovered a pattern of corruption that the Washington press has been covering up for three or four years.”
“You should have jumped all over this in 2015 when this awful conflict was mentioned and it was hidden and suppressed by the Washington press,” Giuliani continued.
“But you know that the reality is, I’m embarrassing you because you didn’t do your job and I’m also going to bring out a pay for play scheme in the Obama administration that will be devastating to the Democrat Party,” he added.
Then, Rudy Giuliani warned that if the Mafia couldn’t kill him, the media wouldn’t either.
“I expected the moment I heard Biden’s name, I told my colleagues they’re going to try to kill me,” he said. “Because they’re going to kill the messenger. But damn it, the mafia couldn’t kill me, your colleagues are not going to kill me.”
The former mayor of New York City has taken center stage in the House Democrats’ ongoing impeachment inquiry.
Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch accused Giuliani of pushing a smear campaign against her, telling Congress Friday, “Giuliani and the corrupt foreign prosecutor, had plans to quote, ‘do things to me’.”
The President has defended Rudy Giuliani, telling Fox News on Friday that his lawyer is a “great crime fighter.”
Fox News host Sandra Smith shut down a House Judiciary Committee Democrat’s claim that there was “incredibly convincing testimony of bribery” by President Trump in this week’s impeachment hearings.
Sandra Smith questioned whether Rep. Madeleine Dean heard what she thought were “impeachable offenses” in the hours of witness testimony during the House impeachment hearings, challenging her on “The Story” about the issue after the Pennsylvania Democrat ridiculously touted the “damning evidence” produced by “career-long Democrats who don’t have a political dog in this fight,” as the BPR reported.
“These are people of extraordinary credibility,” Rep. Madeleine Dean said of witnesses such as former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch and ex-National Security Council staffer Fiona Hill. “We heard from most of those folks incredibly convincing, credible testimony of bribery by a president — of a president who had a ‘shadow’ foreign policy.”
“But it was pointed out many times in that hearing room that none of those witnesses used the word bribery, congresswoman,” Smith interjected, blowing a hole in her narrative.
“And as far as the ‘convincing’ is concerned, of even a moderate Republican like Congressman [Will] Hurd who was looking to take sides on this and has hinted that he would be a ‘no’ on impeachment,” Smith continued, noting that the Texas lawmaker is retiring after this term and has “nothing to prove” to the president.
But Smith wasn’t done calling out the congresswoman who, like many of her colleagues, have been spinning the impeachment testimonies to suit their agenda of taking out a sitting U.S. president.
“This is an incredibly important moment in our country’s history, so put it to the American people,” the Fox News host said to Rep. Dean. “What exactly was it that you heard … that you are basing impeaching the president [on]?”
“Hearsay evidence is credible, but we don’t need just hearsay,” the lawmaker replied. “We had firsthand folks who were in on the phone call, and you had the testimony — Dr. Hill’s testimony was without any kind of scrutiny.”
“Well, to be clear he [David Holmes] was not on that phone call, he overheard the phone call,” Smith corrected after Rep. Dean again claimed that there were “firsthand witnesses of what the president admitted to.”
Tensions continued to mount as Smith tried to move on, saying “we get where you stand on this,” prompting Dean to shoot back, “I don’t know that you do.”
“Where I stand is for our Constitution and for our democracy,” she announced.
“I heard you say that you believe the president committed an impeachable offense, is that correct?” Smith confronted the congresswoman.
“I believe the evidence thus far shows impeachable offenses,” Dean replied but refused to give a direct answer when Smith challenged her on whether she would vote to impeach President Trump if articles were put before the full House of Representatives today.
“Why would anybody prejudge a vote when you don’t even have the articles in front of you?” Dean countered as the two continued to tangle over the issue.
Despite the fact that the Dems rolled out one witness after another in the hearings who actually did not witness anything at all, but simply got their information through second and third-hand sources, Democrats continue to claim evidence of impeachable actions by the president.
It appears that Devin Nunes reached his limit and will sue CNN and the Daily Beast over their recent hit pieces the media outlets ran about him.
The media outlets ran stories alleging that Devin Nunes worked Rudy Giuliani’s associates, now under federal indictment, when he was investigating the origins of the Russia probe.
Nunes claimed that the stories were false and planted by a political operative to damage him as he looks to defend President Trump from the impeachment circus.
“These demonstrably false and scandalous stories published by the Daily Beast and CNN are the perfect example of defamation and reckless disregard for the truth,” Devin Nunes told Breitbart News on Friday night.
“Some political operative offered these fake stories to at least five different media outlets before finding someone irresponsible enough to publish them. I look forward to prosecuting these cases, including the media outlets, as well as the sources of their fake stories, to the fullest extent of the law. I intend to hold the Daily Beast and CNN accountable for their actions. They will find themselves in court soon after Thanksgiving.”
Nunes has had a rocky relationships with both media outlets, and he regularly refuses to work with, or have his office cooperate with, any outlet that engages in deliberate printing of inaccurate and fake information, as CNN and the Daily Beast tend to do.
The CNN piece from Ward interestingly lays out how Nunes refuses to interact with the outlet.
Over the past two weeks, CNN approached Devin Nunes on two occasions and reached out to his communications staff to get comment for this story. On Nov. 14, as CNN began to ask a question about the trip to Vienna, Nunes interjected and said, “I don’t talk to you in this lifetime or the next lifetime.”
“At any time,” Devin Nunes added. “On any question.”
Nunes was asked again on Thursday about his travel to Vienna and his interactions with Shokin and Parnas, he gave a similar response. “To be perfectly clear, I don’t acknowledge any questions from you in this lifetime or the next lifetime,” Nunes said while leaving the impeachment hearing.
When CNN approached @DevinNunes for comment on this story, he replied, “I don't talk to you in this lifetime or the next lifetime.”
Joe Biden is finally responding to the bombshell news that Sen. Lindsey Graham has officially opened a Senate inquiry into his Ukrainian dealings.
This is the usual problem with establishment politicians running for President, they all have been around for too long and have plenty of dirt to dig up. It doesn’t matter if what Biden did was legal, that will actually make it worse because it’s a brazen example of pay to play.
That is why many Americans tend to vote for the outsider for president, the one who can run against the corrupt establishment.
Politico reported that Joe Biden’s presidential campaign accused Lindsey Graham of having “forfeited his conscience” for requesting State Department records concerning the former vice president’s efforts to oust a corrupt Ukrainian prosecutor in 2016.
The broadside against Sen. Graham signaled a new phase of the Biden campaign’s counterattack against President Trump, whose attempts to have Joe Biden and his son investigated in Ukraine have led to his looming impeachment, by pointing out that congressional Republicans saw no scandal regarding the Bidens until it became a political issue for President Trump.
“Trump is now counting on his Republican enablers in the Senate to bail him out,” Biden spokesman Andrew Bates told POLITICO. “Driven by fear of a mean tweet, they are falling in line, peddling the same disproven lies we’ve heard for months. Lindsey Graham has forfeited his conscience to escape a primary.”
“Republicans controlled both chambers of Congress for most of the last five years and said or did nothing to indicate they thought that this warranted attention,” Biden’s spokesman, Bates, said. “As recently as a few weeks ago, Lindsay Graham said that such an investigation would be a circus. What changed?”
Asked for comment, Sen. Graham’s Senate office said via email that “[Chairman] Adam Schiff and the Democrat-controlled House Intel Committee have made it clear they will not look into the issues surrounding Hunter Biden and Burisma. Senator Graham is requesting documents which could shed additional light on these outstanding issues”
Elise Stefanik climbed up high in the Republican political universe for her devastatingly effective cross-examinations this week during the impeachment debacle.
She took Adam Schiff head on with some brilliant showmanship. But it was her incisive and effective questioning during the impeachment hearings, where she seemingly got all the Dem witnesses to make key admissions, that made her reputation.
Stefanik was short and went strength to the point, unlike most of the politicians on the stage who would rather hear themselves talk than find out new information and move forward.
For the same reason, Stefanik also earned a massive backlash on the left, which started or at least was pushed by George Conway, Kellyanne’s husband.
Hollywood also jumped on the bandwagon, such is the threat of Elsie, and soon her opponent in 2020 raised a million smackers.
So last night Elise Stefanik went on Hannity and told the Fox audience what was happening and just within two hours she raised $500,000.
Syracuse reported that New York Rep. Elise Stefanik said she raised $500,000 for her election campaign in less than two hours Thursday night after appearing on Sean Hannity’s TV show on Fox News.
Host Hannity praised Stefanik’s performance in the House Intelligence Committee’s impeachment hearings this week, calling her “a new star” in the Republican Party.
President Trump, who first declared Stefanik a Republican rising star over the weekend, repeated that sentiment on Friday in an appearance on Fox and Friends.
“I’ll tell you what, this young woman from Upstate New York, she has become a star,” the President said in a phone interview with the show.
“She has become a star, her mannerism, her way of talking…it’s just the whole thing,” President Trump said of Stefanik. “She was fantastic during the hearings…”

“I just focus on the facts,” she said. “It is clear that every day that goes by, Democrats’ case for impeachment is crumbling,” she added, as Newsmax reported.
“Again, the facts remain the same, Ukraine got the aid, there was no ‘quid pro quo’ and there was no investigation into the Bidens,”
Stefanik also accused Rep. Adam Schiff of continuing his “regime of secrecy.”
“And because I’ve been such an outspoken advocate for the facts, I have been attacked by the Hollywood left, who have dumped millions into supporting my far left Democratic opponent,” she said.
Earlier today, she said Democrats’ impeachment inquiry “reeks of political desperation.”
On today’s impeachment inquiry hearing, Rep. Jim Jordan literally couldn’t believe the Dems closing witness start turn today and held him to account.
Rep. Jordan poked holes in the Dem case by pointing out that the bombshell David Holmes testified to today, which he overheard this important call between Sondland and President Trump, made such little impact that the other Dem star Witness Ambassador Taylor never brought it up.

Rep. Jordan was added to the Committee just before the public hearings began. He is viewed as one of President Trump’s most loyal allies and a strong attack dog for questioning witnesses.
Today Fiona Hill testified before the committee and she blasted apart both the Dem and the GOP talking points about Russia and elections.
She ripped the GOP saying “based on questions and statements I have heard, some of you on this committee appears to believe that Russia and its security services did not conduct a campaign against our country—and that perhaps, somehow, for some reason, Ukraine did.”
“This is a fictional narrative that has been perpetrated and propagated by the Russian security services themselves,” she added.
Fiona Hill also had some very harsh words for the Steele Dossier which formed the base of many conspiracy theories about President Trump and Russia by the media and Dem’s.
She made it very clear that Russia is trying to create chaos by playing both sides off each other and the we shouldn’t have fallen for it.
People should not forget that the left put this country through three years of nonsense that can be said was in part fueled by a different Russian disinformation scheme.
The Daily Caller reported that a former White House official who Democrats consider a key witness in their impeachment inquiry told lawmakers in October that she believed Russians likely planted disinformation about President Trump with dossier author Christopher Steele.
Fiona Hill, who served as the White House’s top adviser on Russia affairs until July, told lawmakers she was “shocked” to find out that Steele, a former MI6 officer, was the author of the dossier. That’s in large part because when she had met with Steele in the years leading up to his dossier work, he was “constantly try to drum up business.”
… “Because if you also think about it, the Russians would have an ax to grind against him given the job that he had previously. And if he started going back through his old contacts and asking about, that would be a perfect opportunity for people to feed some kind of misinformation,” she said, who was a scholar at the Brookings Institution until she joined the Trump administration.
Hill also said that she was not aware of the dossier until a colleague showed it to her day before BuzzFeed published it on Jan. 10, 2017.
When she read the report, Hill said she had “misgivings and concern that [Steele] could have been played.”
House Intelligence Committee member Devin Nunes delivered another blistering opening statement on Thursday. This time instead of targeting the media, Nunes aimed his fury at congressional Democrats and their unsubstantiated allegations that President Trump “got caught” committing bribery, extortion, quid pro quo and other crimes.
Davin Nunes slammed the Dems, and claimed that the real truth is that it’s the Democrats who “got caught.”
“I once again urge Americans to consider the credibility of the Democrats on this committee who are now hurling these charges For the last three years, it’s not President Trump who got caught, it’s the Democrats who got caught,” he said.
The statement began with the ranking member arguing that President Trump has committed no wrongdoing.
“How do we have an impeachment offense here when there’s no actual misdeed and no one even claiming to be a victim?” he asked. “The Democrats have tried to solve this dilemma with a simple slogan: He got caught.”
The claim is that the President “got caught” purposefully withholding military aid from Ukraine as part of a devious scheme to force the European nation into launching investigations into his political opponents. Except those investigations were never launched, and Ukraine received its money without any problems, as the BPR reported.
“President Trump, we are to believe, was just about to do something wrong, and getting caught was the only reason he backed down from whatever nefarious thought-crime the Democrats are accusing him of almost committing,” Nunes continued before dovetailing to his key point about it being the Dems “who got caught.”
As evidence, Nunes cited everything from the debunked Russian collusion conspiracy theory that they touted for 3 years to their unscrupulous handling of the partisan whistle-blower complain. Here’s the list:
“- They got caught falsely claiming they had more than circumstantial evidence that Trump colluded with the Russians to hack the 2016 elections.”
“- They got caught orchestrating this entire farce with the Whistleblower and lying about their secret meetings with him.”
“- They got caught defending the false allegations of the Steele dossier, which was paid for by the Democrats.”
“- They got caught breaking their promise that impeachment would only go forward with bipartisan support because of how damaging it is to the American people.”
“- They got caught running a sham impeachment process featuring secret depositions, hidden transcripts, and an unending flood of Democrat leaks.”
“- They got caught trying to obtain nude photos of President Trump from Russian pranksters pretending to be Ukrainians.”
“- And they got caught covering up for Alexandra Chalupa — a Democratic National Committee operative who colluded with Ukrainian officials to smear the Trump campaign — by improperly redacting her name from deposition transcripts and refusing to let Americans hear her testimony as a witness in these proceedings.”
“That is the Democrats’ pitiful legacy in recent years: They. Got. Caught,” he added.
Meanwhile, he continued, the accusations that have been levied against Trump by the Democrats’ star witnesses have all been based on second-hand information.
“Ladies and gentlemen, unless the Democrats once again scramble their kangaroo court rules, today’s hearing marks the merciful end of this spectacle in the Impeachment Committee, formerly known as the Intelligence Committee,” he added.
“Whether the Democrats reap the political benefit they want from this impeachment remains to be seen. But the damage they have done to this country will be long-lasting.”
Rep. Devin Nunes slammed House Intelligence CMTE chairman Adam Schiff and the Democrats for giving themselves extra time to question witnesses during today’s hearing.
After a 15 minute questioning by Adam Schiff and Democratic counsel Daniel Goldman, Devin Nunes inquired whether committee Republicans should “expect anymore of these magical 15 minute motions.”
Schiff pointed to House Resolution 660 to justify the longer time spent questioning the witnesses, a rule that according to him allows for “successive rounds of up to 45 minutes, so this is part of the prescribed procedure under the House resolution.”
Rep. Devin Nunes argued that by using this rule, the Democrats illustrated “how out of control this process has become.”
Nunes didn’t stop there and added that the Democrats should have had “the decency to tell us that you are going to have 15 minutes more.”
Then he turned his attention towards House Intelligence CMTE chairman Addam Schiff.
“You can go four hours, we can go five hours, we’ll give you all you want, you can keep digging if you want, the deeper the hole you dig, I think the more viewers will turn off, because people just aren’t buying the drug deal that you guys are trying to sell,” Nunes told Schiff.
It’s interestingly to say that, Adam Schiff and Davin Nunes didn’t look at each other during this back-and-forth.
Near the end, the Dems faked an outrage because Trump used his own channel to communicate with Ukraine. Maybe they should be reminded that our first president, George Washington, directed his own diplomatic channels to secure a treaty with Great Britain.
If the Democrats were around in 1794, they would want to impeach him too.
