Ocasio-Cortez Losses It After Ted Cruz Defends Trump, Accuses Him Of Riding The “White Supremacist Express”

A Twitter spat between Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez derailed after she accused him of being silent about white supremacy.

Ocasio-Cortez accused Cruz of “riding in the quiet car” of a white supremacist train after he posted a meme mocking former Vice President Joe Biden’s latest train-tour campaign event.

Cruz accused Joe Biden of joining the “radical left” while AOC referenced President Trump’s comments about the Proud Boys during the debate on Tuesday night.

“Biden may be the Democrat Party’s nominee, but we know who is driving the train,” Cruz wrote in a tweet featuring a cartoon of a train carrying Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders, Ilhan Omar, and others.

“I must say, Ted Cruz making poorly executed memes while riding in the quiet car of the White Supremacist Express is pretty on brand for both him and 2020,” AOC responded.

Several Republicans have been asked to condemn white supremacy as part of the fallout from Trump’s debate when he told the Proud Boys, a far-right group tied to hateful ideologies, to “stand back” and “stand by.” Many people, including Ocasio-Cortez, took this as a refusal to condemn white supremacy.

“Donald Trump is a white supremacist. People have been warning about this for a long time,” AOC tweeted after the debate. “They were ridiculed, called hyperbolic & radical — not [because] they were wrong, but [because] others couldn’t accept that our country elected a supremacist as President. This is fascism at our door.”

Sen. Cruz defended the President during a heated debate on CNN on Wednesday, saying he was glad that President Trump had clarified his remarks to note that he does not support the Proud Boys and that he wants law enforcement to handle rioters, not Proud Boys militias.

Ocasio-Cortez and Cruz, who are both of Hispanic heritage, have gotten in several spats on Twitter over the past few years, but they have also worked with each other on legislation to prevent lawmakers from becoming lobbyists after they leave office.

Bette Midler Says “Trump’s Quarantining Will Mean No Rallies, No More Debates. Convenient.”

Anti-Trump celebrity Bette Midler reacted to news that President Trump’s aide Hope Hicks had tested positive for Covid-19 by suggesting a possible conspiracy.

Midler wrote “Just learned that Hope Hicks tested positive for Covid. Timing’s so interesting.”

“I guess Trump’s quarantining will mean no rallies, and no more debates. Convenient.”

She added “It’s awful to always think the worst, but after four years of relentless lying? Can’t be helped. No trust left.”

Earlier in the day, Bette Midler also wrote “Jail to the Chief!” and “Worried about your health? Worried about your health care? You should be. Trump, IN THE MIDDLE OF A PANDEMIC, is trying to take it away from you!”

“He’s taking it to the Supreme Court, where he hopes his new girl will be part of a majority that will cancel The Affordable Care Act,” she added.

Thursday evening, President Donald Trump tweeted ”Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!”

Wallace Claims Trump “Bears Primary Responsibility” For What Happened During The Presidential Debate

During an interview on Fox News Fox News host Chris Wallace claimed that President Trump was responsible for what happened during the Presidential debate.

The Fox News host and debate moderator was under heavy criticism about how he handled the Presidential candidates during the debate.

“I think the president made a mistake because so often, he would butt in and prevent Joe Biden from answering or not answering,” Wallace said.

“I think he would have been well advised, not that he needs my advice in the next two debates, let Biden answer, then you can pick apart.”

Wallace also claimed that the President should’ve let Joe Biden speak more, as his answers “weren’t that great.”

Americans were divided on their thoughts about how the debate went through. However, it’s fair to say that a lot of people think President Trump won the debate, even if he had to battle against two opponents.

Klobuchar on James Comey “Being His Law School Classmate, I Could Call Him Anytime & Ask Him Things”

Wednesday, during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing featuring testimony from James Comey, former 2020 candidate Amy Klobuchar offered a personal positive reference to Comey from a perspective of his formal law school classmate.

Klobuchar said “We all have mixed legacies. We all have things that we regret, we have things that we’re proud of.”

Klobuchar said “I think a lot of people are wondering why we are having this hearing right now and I think most people would think we should be talking about other things. Except maybe President Trump. And I understand the Chair’s statements about wanting to move on FISA reform.”

She continued “I will point out the Republicans have been running the Senate for the last four years. They have their own internal disagreements on FISA.”

“The president has been president for the last four years, and I haven’t heard him talking about FISA reform repeatedly as one of his major priorities.”

“I will get to Mr. Comey in a while,” Klobuchar added.

“I’ll note that he has appeared before this committee many times. If you look at all of these reports about what he did in his time in office, I don’t agree with everything that he did, but I do know, as being his classmate in law school, I could call him anytime and ask him things.”

“But I also know that he had the respect of a lot of people that worked for him,” she said.

“And so if I look at legacies, we all have mixed legacies.”

We all have things that we regret, we have things that we’re proud of,” she added.

Ted Cruz Tells Cuomo “Trump Broke You Guys. Your Entire Network Now Is Just How Much You Hate Trump”

During an exchange over whether President Donald Trump did enough to condemn the Proud Boys, Ted Cruz blasted CNN, telling Chris Cuomo “Trump broke you guys.”

Ted Cruz told Chris Cuomo he’s glad he’s taking tips on insults “from other folks” and told the CNN host he’s “enjoying” insulting him.

“I’m not enjoying it at all,” Cuomo fired back.

“I’m not enjoying anything about this other than giving you the opportunity to say the right thing at the right time,” he said.

Sen. Cruz then brought the heat against CNN, saying “Chris, there was a time when CNN actually cared about being journalistic and talking about facts.”

“Donald Trump broke you guys,” Cruz continued.

“Your entire show. Your entire network now is just how much you hate Trump,” Sen. Ted Cruz said.

Susan Rice Said Putin Was Doing “The Happy Dance” Over President Trump’s “Unhinged Ranting & Raving”

Former Obama NSA Susan Rice appeared on CNN to discuss the first presidential debate and claimed that Russian leader Vladimir Putin was “doing the happy dance in the Kremlin” over President Trump’s behavior and “unhinged ranting and raving.”

“Let’s be clear how the rest of the world reacted,” Rice began.

“Our friends and allies, I believe, did a collective faceplant of just shame and embarrassment and despair.”

She continued “Vladimir Putin is doing the happy dance in the Kremlin tonight because, leaving aside the white supremacy comments or lack of comments about white supremacy, what Donald Trump did in his unhinged ranting and raving was to discredit civil discourse, disparage the American people, to whom he didn’t even give the dignity of serious responses, and to get up and say before the American people yet again that he will not respect the results of this election unless he himself is the winner, which is the idea of democracy.”

“So Vladimir Putin is doing the happening the happy dance and, in Beijing, state media is crowing that the debate was chaotic, disorderly and shows democracy is a form of government that should be discredited and discarded, and their form is in fact correct.”

“This was a disaster for U.S. global leadership, and a disaster delivered by Donald Trump, yet again,” the former Obama NSA explained.

“And, you know, when we think about the prospect of two more of these things, I pray, I hope that somehow they can be made to be different. Donald Trump is not going to change, but perhaps the format and the rules and the moderation can change,” she added.

Chris Wallace Speaks Out On Debate, Says President Trump’s Debate Plan Didn’t Serve Him Well

During a telephone interview with the Los Angeles Times, Fox News anchor Chris Wallace shared his thoughts on the contentious debate between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden.

Wallace told the LA Times “Obviously It was not the debate I had planned for, and to that degree I was disappointed.”

He continued “I think debates are about revealing what [the candidates] think. You certainly gained an insight into Donald Trump and what he’s thinking and where he wants to take the country and how he wants to take the country there. To that degree I thought it was a success. It may not have been pretty, but it was revealing.”

Wallace also stated that he initially was encouraged by the back and forth exchange between the candidates, explaining “My initial reaction was, ‘This is great. They’re going to go at it, and I can take the evening off.”

However, he says “it became clear at a certain point that the president wasn’t planning to back off and was going to keep interrupting throughout the evening.”

Wallace mostly blamed Trump for the chaos and said “the interruptions got in the way of a substantive discussion of serious issues and follow-ups to those issues. I thought it wasted a lot of time.”

The 72 year old Fox News anchor also did not think Trump did well by interrupting, saying “Trump never went to Plan B. He just stayed on Plan A the entire evening, and I don’t think it served him especially well.”

Wallace also chimed in on the controversy of whether the President had said enough to denounce White Supremacy and said “What was clear to me was he was given a direct opportunity several times by both me and by the vice president to call out the Proud Boys and white supremacists and he refused to do so.”

After the debate, President Trump tweeted a meme of him versus both Joe Biden and Chris Wallace.

Jim Acosta Describes Trump’s Post-Debate Rally In Minnesota As “Low Energy Victory Lap”

While appearing on CNN with Don Lemon, Jim Acosta described President Donald Trump’s post-debate rally as “low energy.”

Jim Acosta said, “This was sort of a low energy victory lap for President Trump.”

He continued “He was declaring victory after last night’s debate with Joe Biden.”

“But keep in mind this was one of the smallest crowds I have seen in some time at a Trump rally, during the pandemic,” the CNN reporter argued.

“And it was one of his shortest speeches. About 45 minutes,” he continued.

“Not one of the hour, hour and a half long speeches we have seen in recent weeks,” Jim Acosta concluded.

Bellow you can watch the full video of the rally in Minnesota posted by “Fox Business,” so you can judge yourselves if it was “low energy” as Jim Acosta said.

Pelosi Reacts To Presidential Debate, Says “I Lost a Lot Of Sleep” Over Trump’s Remarks

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on “Morning Joe,” and reacted to the first Trump-Biden presidential debate.

Nancy Pelosi had suggested to Joe Biden not debate President Trump at all on multiple occasions.

“I’m just sorry that they didn’t turn off the microphone when it was Joe Biden’s turn to speak and turn it on when it was the president’s turn to speak, and we would have not had this disruption,” she added.

“You would have thought that would have been a simple thing to do. He’s been enabled his whole life, and now the American people are paying a price, paying a price for the fact that no one has ever said to him, ‘no.’”

“It was really a sad night for our Country in that the President of the United States would not disassociate himself from White Supremacists and terrorists in our country,” Pelosi said.

“I lost a lot of sleep last night over that one fact,” Pelosi said.

“But I did know that he has never respected the dignity of his office and he demonstrated that last night.”

“I think the one thing he did present was the authenticity of who he is,” she added.

This was the exchange House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was referring to.

“He Should Get Out Of The Way” – Chris Wallace Gets Torched By His Own Colleagues After Debate

Fox News colleagues blasted host Chris Wallace on his debate performance as moderator for not holding control of the event.

“Why is @JoeBiden allowed to interrupt? @realDonaldTrump is not,” Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade tweeted, in addition to other tweets criticizing the moderation of the debate.

Before the debate began, Kilmeade predicted, “Chris Wallace best moderator in America will be awesome!!”

Fox News host Laura Ingraham also pointed out that Trump was debating two people instead of just Biden.

Andrew McCarthy also took a shot at Wallace for not pressuring Joe Biden to answer the questions presented, also adding that though he loves Wallace, he should “get out of the way.”

Fox News contributor Dan Bongino also said that President Trump was debating both Wallace and Biden during the debate.

https://twitter.com/dbongino/status/1311126962249834497?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1311126962249834497%7Ctwgr%5Eshare_3&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.washingtonexaminer.com%2Fnews%2Ffox-colleagues-criticize-wallace-for-not-taking-control-of-debate-he-should-get-out-of-the-way

The Five co-host Greg Gutfeld said that Wallace laughing with Biden during one exchange “was not good.”

Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly also weighed in on Wallace’s performance, suggesting he was unprepared during an exchange on Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, work in Ukraine.

Wallace and the debate were also on the receiving end of criticism from journalists at CNN.

Media reporter Oliver Darcy said that Chris Wallace was responsible for “the circus that aired on national TV.”

Dana Bash and Jake Tapper also blasted the overall debate as a “s—show” and “a hot mess inside a dumpster fire inside a train wreck,” respectively.
