Jim Jordan Sees Right Through New Dem Virus Committee: “This Is Just Another Way To Harrass President Trump”

House Republicans believe that the Dems are plotting to use a new coronavirus investigative committee to damage President Trump’s reputation in the critical months ahead of the 2020 election.

On Thursday, the House will vote in an emergency session to pass a resolution creating a special House panel to oversee the distribution of billions of federal dollars dedicated to the response to the coronavirus outbreak.

Pelosi said that the panel would “prevent waste, fraud, and abuse” and would be bipartisan. She appointed the House majority whip, South Carolina Democrat James Clyburn, to oversee the panel.

But Republicans claim that there is another, more political purpose for the panel that follows in the path of the Democrats’ Russian collusion investigation and their impeachment of Trump over his efforts to get Ukraine government officials to investigate Joe Biden.

Democrats, they believe, will use the coronavirus committee as a platform to publicly excoriate Trump over his response to the coronavirus, which many Democrats have been harshly criticizing as negligent.

“This is just one more attempt by the Democrats to go after the president,” Rep. Jim Jordan, the top GOP member on the House Oversight panel, said.

Republicans also pointed out that there are already eight oversight entities that can ensure the money is not misspent, including a special inspector general and congressionally-appointed panel backed with $25 million in federal funding.

“The first eight are going to look out for the taxpayers,” Jordan said. “The ninth is going to look out for the Democrats’ candidate for president, Joe Biden.”

Republicans now envision coronavirus hearings that will replicate the Russia and Ukraine probes targeting Trump, but with much higher stakes — taking place right before the 2020 election.

“Here we go in an election year, and we know what these hearings will look like this fall,” Jordan said, testifying before the House Rules Committee Wednesday in an expansive hearing room. “They’ll probably take place in this room, like all the big hearings seem to do, and they’ll be calling all kinds of people to go after the president.”

Mitch McConnell Checkmates Nancy Pelosi – Let Blue States Go Bankrupt, Will Not Bail Out State Pensions

On Wednesday, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that he favors allowing states struggling with high public employee pension costs amid the burdens of the pandemic response to declare bankruptcy rather than giving them a federal bailout.

“I would certainly be in favor of allowing states to use the bankruptcy route,” he said Wednesday in a response to a question on the syndicated Hugh Hewitt radio show. “It’s saved some cities, and there’s no good reason for it not to be available.”

MSN reported that the host cited California, Illinois and Connecticut as states that had given too much to public employee unions, and McConnell said he was reluctant to take on more debt for any rescue.

“My guess is their first choice would be for the federal government to borrow money from future generations to send it down to them now so they don’t have to do that,” he said. “That’s not something I’m going to be in favor of.”

“I said yesterday we’re going to push the pause button here, because I think this whole business of additional assistance for state and local governments needs to be thoroughly evaluated,” McConnell added.

“You raised yourself the important issue of what states have done, many of them have done to themselves with their pension programs,” he said. “There’s not going to be any desire on the Republican side to bail out state pensions by borrowing money from future generations.”

Allowing states to file for bankruptcy idea was raised in the wake of the previous recession. It drew widespread disdain from Wall Street investors, public employee unions and both Republican and Democratic governors, who claimed that it would unsettle the bond market and cause even the most fiscally sound states to face higher interest rates because of the risk the debt could be wiped out in court.

U.S. lawmakers of both parties also criticized it during a House hearing, that was convened to discuss it in 2011 and was swiftly dropped.

The National Governors Association has stated that states and municipalities will need at least $500 billion in aid to deal with the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic as tax revenue falls and demands for resources escalate. The Dems unsuccessfully pushed for state aid in the interim rescue package that passed the Senate on Tuesday.

McConnell took credit for blocking that. He said there should be a “fulsome” discussion among all senators on whether and how to send more aid to state governments and how that money should be spent.

Pelosi Begs Americans To Believe Her & Not Their Own Eyes After Stunt Backfires “We Didn’t Hold Up” Aid

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pulled a Joe Biden and got all confused on national TV.

First, Pelosi bragged about delaying the next round of stimulus, before denying she held up aid and tried to blame the GOP.

“Two weeks ago today, Secretary Mnuchin called me and he said he wanted a quarter of a trillion dollars, $250 billion and he wanted it in 48 hours. That was Tuesday,” Pelosi said.

“Then, on Thursday, Leader McConnell was bringing this bill to the floor and — that he wanted our support for it.”

“I told him that that wasn’t possible. We had to have our consultation with the House Democrats about what we would propose.”

“The next day, the 8th of April…Congressional Democrats came together around a proposal described by the distinguished leader already on how we address the underbanked, how we address those in rural, Native American, veterans, women, people of color, small businesses that are considered the underbanked, how they could be included.”

“And then, of course, as the leader said, funding for hospitals and testing that he described. And I associate myself with his characterization of all of that.”

“So, here we are today, two weeks from that Tuesday of the request, when the Republicans and the administration replied that there was no way that they were going to join us, that they had the 250, that’s the way it was going to be.”

“There was going to be nothing else. They took a defeat on the floor. Because the Congressional Democrats stuck together.”

“Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen objecting and then proposing our proposal, which is almost exactly what they passed today.”

“So, in terms of holding up the works, they were the ones who held up the works for a package that is more effective, fairer, and the rest as we go forward.”

“We didn’t hold up. They held up. And now we have prevailed.”

Devin Nunes Blasts Pelosi After Her Cheap Stunt: “If a Republican Did That He Would Get Thrown Out”

California Rep. Devin Nunes shut down House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after her little stunt backfired. And it backfired because it exposed Pelosi and her attitude towards the average American worker.

Pelosi joined comedian James Corden on his late-night show last week, showing the camera more than a dozen containers of ice cream in her freezer.

“I don’t know what I would’ve done if ice cream were not invented,” Nancy Pelosy said in the interview.

The Washington Examiner reported that Nunes joined Fox & Friends Weekend and claimed that if a Republican had done the same thing as Nancy Pelosi, they would be pulled from leadership.

“If any Republican leader, if [Senate Majority Leader] Mitch McConnell or [House Minority Leader] Kevin McCarthy or any of our speakers in the past would have said — done something like Pelosi did, where she’s sitting at home in front of her refrigerator with a, you know, $24,000, you know, freezer that I don’t think too many of us have…”

“It would be a fatal flaw,” Nunes said. “We would boot McConnell or McCarthy out of leadership just like that. They would have been out four days ago, the minute that that popped up.”

He added: “When you have … 20 million people unemployed — you have people that can’t get paychecks.”

“What the hell is going on? And you know, she’s sitting in San Francisco eating gourmet ice cream? It doesn’t fly out in the real world.”

Legendary Rock Musician Blasts “Weak” Joe Biden: “F-king Slime-ball, No Appeal To Anybody”

Legendary rock musician and one of the founding members of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters ripped Dem. Presidential candidate Joe Biden in a recent interview.

Roger Waters is a songwriter, singer, bassist, and composer. In 1965 he co-founded the rock band Pink Floyd. Waters initially served solely as the bassist, but following the departure of singer-songwriter Syd Barrett in 1968, he also became their lyricist, co-lead vocalist, and conceptual leader.

The Consequence of Sound reported that in a new interview with Rolling Stone, Waters was asked if progressives should consider it their “duty” to vote for Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

“I’m on the fence,” Waters responded. “I’m so flabbergasted and gobsmacked by the way the Democratic National Committee has railroaded Bernie [Sanders]… again.”

“And has put in place a candidate — I can’t imagine Biden beating Trump in an election.”

“Biden is such a f-ing slimeball, he’s so weak, and has no appeal to anybody,” Waters said.

“Trump, at least, is a snake oil salesman, he does tricks.. he does them really badly, but people don’t care.”

As a Bernie Sanders supporter, Waters said that he is “still staggering under the weight of them having rejected the only candidate who represented the people of America.”

“I obviously don’t know where I stand on that lesser of two evils question,” Waters said of the upcoming election between Trump and Biden.

“I’m not sure the path to a new America that is not ruled by the current ruling class — by money, plutocracy, and a capitalist society — will be made any easier with Biden as president.”

Waters also scoffed at the idea of American exceptionalism: “I’m so upset at the appalling bill of goods the American electorate is being sold, and they fall for it again and again. On the simplest of pretext, which is:

“America exceptionalism. ‘We are great. This is the greatest country in the world. We believe in freedom and democracy and human rights.”

“We make everything better. We are the shining city on the hill.’ No you aren’t, you’re f-ing awful!”

Waters stressed he was speaking specifically about the American government, but said American people are “gullible” for going along with it.

Newt Gingrich Rips Nancy Pelosi’s After Her Cheap Stunt Backfired: “Most Tone-Deaf Thing I’ve Seen a Speaker Do”

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich blasted current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her video on social media where she gave up the game and exposed her hypocrisy for everyone to see.

Gingrich ripped Pelosi for her political stunt that backfired when she lollygagged around her multi-million dollar mansion while many small businesses went bankrupt (possibly for good) while they waited on money from the federal government.

“I thought the notion of Nancy Pelosi holding up aid to small businesses while she stood in front of her two very expensive refrigerators and talked about how she loves to have her $11.75-a-pint ice cream to comfort her is the most tone-deaf thing I’ve seen a Speaker of the House do,” Gingrich told “Fox & Friends.”

Newt was referencing Nancy’s appearance via livestream on CBS’ “Late Late Show” last Monday, during which she showed host James Corden her elaborate ice-cream collection while standing in front of a high-end, pricey refrigerator. Pelosi later posted the controversial clip on Twitter, with the caption: “We all have found our ways to keep our spirits up during these trying times. Mine just happens to fill up my freezer.”

Pelosi has since been roundly criticized for showing off her wares while people continue to be laid off and furloughed. Meanwhile, Senate Dems last week rejected a request by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., to give unanimous consent to legislation that would have added $250 billion to the Small Business Administration’s Paycheck Protection Program.

Gingrich said that President Trump has worked very closely with Dr. Fauci and Dr. Birx on coming up with a plan to reopen parts of the economy in a safe way.

“Fauci and Birx both have very personal standards. They’ve been advising the president but in the end, the reason you have a president is there are some decisions larger than experts and it’s the job of the president to weigh everything and then try to make the best possible decision.”

Gingrich concluded,”I would say overall you look at our fatality rate and you look at Europe, you can feel pretty good about what the president has done.”

“Inherently Dumb Person” – Trump Calls For Nancy Pelosi’s Overthrow After She Claimed He Was Weak On Fox News

President Trump ripped House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after the California Democrat attacked him on Fox News this morning.

Nancy Pelosi appeared on Fox News for the first time in three years and went after President Trump from the start as Chris Wallace sat back and let her rant where she gave Trump an ‘F’ for his pandemic response.

Fox News reported that Pelosi gave Trump an ‘F’ for what she called “weak” leadership during the coronavirus pandemic and promised that despite recent snags, Congress will “soon” reach an agreement for adding $250 billion to replenish a program that provides forgivable loans to small businesses.

“Leaders — leaders take responsibility. So I said he’s a weak leader. He doesn’t take responsibility. He places blame — blame on others,” Pelosi said. “And that might have been OK before, but we cannot continue down a path that is, again I’ll come back to science, science, science, evidence, data on how we should go forward.”

Trump announced his plan last week, and Pelosi remained critical of the president even though Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said the plan’s first phase, if carried out properly, could provide enough testing for it to work.

When asked if she believes Fauci, Pelosi said she does, but pointed to what she called a “failure” to perform sufficient testing thus far as evidence that the administration has already come up short.

“But we’re way late on it and that is a failure. The president gets an F, a failure on the testing,” Pelosi said. “But Fauci — Dr. Fauci’s right. If it is done properly, it hasn’t been and I — I think when he puts in the ‘if it’s done’ is an admission that it hasn’t been done “

“We want to add more money there,” Pelosi said, but added that “it is very urgent though that we support our — our police and fire, our health care workers, our nurses, our teachers.” She stated “that’s what the state and local government is about, is meeting the needs of the coronavirus. And everything that we’re doing is about the coronavirus, understand that.”

President Trump didn’t wait long to respond to Pelosi, so he took to social media and blasted the California Democrat.

“Nervous Nancy is an inherently “dumb” person. She wasted all of her time on the Impeachment Hoax. She will be overthrown, either by inside or out, just like her last time as “Speaker.” Wallace & @FoxNews are on a bad path, watch!”

“Pelosi Hates Trump To The Point Of Hurting Our Nation” – Says Sen. Lindsey Graham

Senator Lindsey Graham claims that Nancy Pelosi hates Trump more than she loves America, and that is why she sided with WHO and China despite their well-documented lies that caused the coronavirus to erupt into a global pandemic.

“Her issue is she hates Trump to the point of hurting our own nation,” Sen. Graham said on Justice with Judge Jeanine. “She is condemning President Trump for cutting funds off to the WHO because they’ve been in China’s pocket. Has she at one time mentioned the fact that the virus came out of China? That the Chinese Communist Party lied to the American people and the world at large?”

Sen. Graham was referring to Nancy Pelosi’s repeated attacks against the President for halting funding to the WHO, which told the world on January 14 that COVID-19 could not be passed through human-to-human transmission. That was a deadly miss-conception.

Graham stated that Nancy Pelosi refuses to blame the incompetents of the WHO and the CCP because she wants to exploit the coronavirus crisis into an all-out attack on President Trump.

“She blamed President Trump for dead Americans and a wrecked economy,” Graham said. “President Trump has done a damn good job protecting this country. He closed down travel to China when nobody in the world suggested we should.”

Sen. Graham also agrees with many medical experts who claim that President Trump’s early travel bans probably saved many American lives.

“If we had done nothing…there’d be a million-plus dead Americans,” he said. “China is the culprit here — not Trump.”

Sen. Graham stated that the Chinese Communist Party needs to atone for its role in lying about COVID-19 and spreading it all around the world.

“Gross negligence and willful deception by the Chinese government has led to 22 million Americans being unemployed and 38,000 Americans dead,” he said. “And China needs to pay.”

Judge Jeanine replied: “We owe money to China, can we start canceling that debt?”

Graham responded: “Senator Marsha Blackburn has legislation with Martha McSally that basically allows us to cancel some of the debt that we owe to China. Canceling debt is something we could do.”

Graham said the U.S. imposed harsh sanctions on Iran for sponsoring Islamic terrorism. He said we should do the same to China for spreading several pandemics.

“China is the largest state sponsor of pandemics in the world,” Graham said. “Iran is the largest state sponsor of terrorism. We sanctioned the hell out of Iran for spreading terrorism. We ought to sanction the hell out of China for spreading pandemics.”

Senator Graham said the world deserves reparations from China for its role in endangering public safety.

“I would like to put sanctions on China not just for the United States, but for the entire world,” Graham said. “This is the third pandemic to come out of China. Enough is enough. Bring the supply chain back? Yeah, that’s a no-brainer.”

“You Just Don’t Give a Damn” – Music Legend Charlie Daniels Shuts Down Pelosi’s Reign

Country music legend Charlie Daniels shut down House Speaker Nancy Pelosi with a blistering takedown of the California Dem.

“Ms. Pelosi do you know how many desperate veterans that twenty five million dollars you gave the Kennedy Center could have given a reason for living,” Daniels said.

“My guess is you just don’t give a damn,” said Daniels blasting Pelosi with the truth.

The Western Journal reported that Nancy Pelosi had originally wanted $35 million for the D.C. cultural staple. A draft of the legislation, according to Fox Business, stated that the $25 million allocated for the center in the bill would “cover operating expenses required to ensure the continuity of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and its affiliates. The money is intended to be used for employee compensation and benefits, grants, contracts, rent or utilities, fees for artists or performers, information technology and other administrative expenses.”

The GOP was generally opposed to the expenditure but quickly became resigned to it. President Trump gave the concession a rather backhanded bit of approval: “The Kennedy Center has suffered greatly,” he said during a media briefing. “I haven’t spent time there because I’m far too busy. I’d love to go there evenings, but I’m too busy doing things.”

The outlay quickly became even more controversial when the Kennedy Center announced that, even in spite of the not insignificant chunk of the stimulus bill being dropped at their feet, they weren’t willing to pay for the National Symphony Orchestra to stay busy doing things.

After the bill was signed, the Kennedy Center said it would stop paying the musicians from the orchestra, leading everyone to wonder why it got the money in the first place.

After huge backlash, the Kennedy Center agreed to pay the musicians.

All that being said, we didn’t need to spend $25 million on it when our economy has been totally shut down.

What about more funding for veterans services instead? (The Veterans Health Administration received $17.2 billion in the third phase of coronavirus legislation, though I tend to think adding $25 million to that figure is a better use of the money than spending it on the Kennedy Center).

What about using the money to get loans extended to small business in a more timely fashion?

The Kennedy Center is the giant ice cream-laden freezer of the relief bill.

It’s a symbol of the D.C. elite; there’s a certain kind of person who not only enjoys the National Symphony Orchestra but can afford to enjoy it regularly, and it’s generally not the kind of person who needs a relief check at the moment.

But don’t worry. All of those laid-off proles have a lot more time on their hands to watch James Corden’s 12:35 a.m. program, where Nancy can show off her collection of frozen creamery.

Marco Rubio & Ted Cruz Troll Pelosi After Ice Cream Stunt, Offer Her Snacks If She Comes To The Table For Small Business

Senators Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz trolled Nancy Pelosi on Twitter after her tone-deaf video bragging about her stockpile of fancy ice cream, which she stores in her $24,000 refrigerator.

Rubio tweeted in a cheeky video: “So I hear Speaker Pelosi really likes ice cream? Here is what I am willing to do if she will stop holding aid for Small Business hostage.”

Senator Rubio then tempted Nancy Pelosi with a package of M&M ice cream, saying: “I will give you all the ice cream I have in here, Madam Speaker, if you will fund small business and stop holding it hostage. All of this right here. These M&M’s. Make it happen.”

Sen. Ted Cruz also chimed in: “Excellent idea! I’ll throw in all the Chunky Soup she can eat!”

Marco Rubio was responding after the Dems blocked Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s request for more aid for small businesses, calling it a “political stunt.”

The Republican bill would’ve provided $250 billion more in a loan program for small businesses. the Dems blocked it, even though small businesses are getting destroyed by the coronavirus shutdowns.

President Trump has urged Congress to return to Washington to do their jobs. Even Democrats are pushing Pelosi to get back to work.

While millions of unemployed Americans are lining up at food banks to feed their families, Pelosi did a gleeful interview in front of her $24,000 refrigerator with talk show host James Corden.

During the interview, the multi-millionaire whined that she is enduring this crisis by stuffing her face with $13-a-pint ice cream, as the BPR reported.
