Melania Trump Gets Mocked On Social Media For Her ‘Broken’ English After She Launches Anti-Bullying Campaign

This Monday, First Lady Melania Trump announced the title of her mission to help the nation’s youth:‘Be Best.’ The White House released a statement announcing that the program would focus on three factors that include children: well-being, opioid abuse and the use of social media.

Speaking in the Rose Garden, First Lady Melania stated: ‘As a mother and as the first lady, it concerns me that in today’s fast-paced and ever-connected world, children can be less prepared to express or manage their emotions and oftentimes turn to forms of destructive or addictive behavior such as bullying, drug addiction or even suicide.’

Despite the good intentions of Melania, her slogan was mocked by leftists who didn’t like her accent and the fact that English wasn’t her mother tongue.

Mother of Waffle House Victim Who Died Singing Gospel Receives Her Daughter’s College Diploma

This Saturday, Shirl Baker, the mother of DeEbony Groves, a young girl who was tragically shot and killed at a Waffle House in Tennessee, accepted her daughter’s college diploma during what would have been her graduation ceremony.

Robert Fisher, president of Belmont University, acknowledged the missing student during his commencement address on Saturday.

‘While our hearts were broken, today we have the chance to celebrate DeEbony’s life together,’ he said for News Channel 5.

In a powerful moment, amidst her grieving, Shirl Baker walked across the stage and on her behalf of her daughter’s accepted the college degree.

The victims mother, Shirl Baker was not the only member of the family that walked across the stage.

Her brother, Di’Angelo Groves, was also graduating on Saturday. Instead of a moment shared with his sister, he wiped his tears away as the school announced a scholarship in his sister’s honor.

One week earlier, during DeEbony’s funeral Waffle House CEO Walt Ehmer told the people attending that in her last moments, she was singing gospel songs.

‘And that’s the higher power that inspired the last reported words of DeEbony Groves as she and her friend were singing ‘Yes, Jesus Loves Me’ just before she departed that Waffle House for heaven’s gate,’ said Fisher in his commencement speech.

DeEbony Groves was shot and killed on April 22 at an Antioch Waffle House. Four people died in that incident, and four others were injured. Metro Police officers arrested Travis Reinking after a manhunt.

Gov. Kim Reynolds Signs Toughest Pro-Life Law in the U.S. While Protesters Chant ‘My Body, My Choice’

Surrounded by many lovely children on Friday, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed a law known as the ‘heartbeat bill,’ which prevents abortions if the doctor can hear the child’s heartbeat.

‘That restriction — effectively limiting abortions to roughly before six weeks — is the strictest enacted in the United States and faced intense backlash from abortion rights advocates,’ IJR reports.

While Gov. Kim Reynolds was signing the law, the protesters chanted ‘My body, my choice!’, according to the New York Post.

The ‘heartbeat bill’, which is set to take effect on 1st of July, included exceptions for incest, rape, and cases when the life of the mother is in jeopardy, but Planned Parenthood saw it as an unconstitutional affront to women’s rights.

 

‘Gov. Reynolds, if you sign this bill, Planned Parenthood will see you in court,’ president of Planned Parenthood of the Heartland Suzanna de Baca, said.

One of the largest advocacy groups for abortion rights in the U.S. ‘NARAL,’ condemned the legislation as well.

‘This is bigger than just a law, this is about life, and I’m not going to back down,’ Reynolds said.

CNN reports that Gov. Kim Reynolds argued that it was ‘immoral to stop an innocent beating heart … my faith leads me to protect every Iowan, no matter how small.’ An anti-abortion group called ‘Susan B. Anthony List,’ similarly praised the legislation.

‘The bold pro-life action taken by the Iowa legislature reflects growing national pro-life sentiment and restlessness under the extreme status quo imposed by Roe v. Wade,’ SBA List president Marjorie Dannenfelser stated in a statement.

Man Gropes Tourist Explaining She ‘Liked It’ Because She’s ‘American.’ Finds Out He Messed With The Wrong Girl

Last month, a woman from Colorado was harassed and physically assaulted on the street by a man who tauntingly told her she “liked it” because she is an “American.”

While traveling alone in Dublin, Ireland, Leanna Carr, 26, was groped by a man on the street. Luckily Leanna happens to be a power-lifter and a strength coach.

As soon as Leanna felth threatened by the man, she quickly reacted by punching him right in the face.

Carr was on the way to catch the bus to Galway when the assailant grabbed her rear end and laughed ‘hysterically’ when she confronted him.

‘You’re an American, you probably liked it,’ he whispered to her. That’s was more than enough for Carr to show him that he messed with the wrong girl.

‘I wasn’t really thinking,’ Leanna told Fox News. ‘I was angry and in the moment. He wasn’t taking me seriously.’

‘If this had happened in the past, I probably would have just let him get away with it,’ she explained. ‘But this time, my reaction was to defend myself. So I hit him.’

Leanna Carr posted a photo of her bruised knuckles on Twitter, including a short explanation: ‘While walking down the street in Dublin earlier this week, a man grabbed my butt. He proceeded to laugh hysterically and said ‘you’re an American, you probably liked it,’ she captioned the photo. ‘Apparently traveling solo has made me a better person bc my first reaction was to punch him in the face.’

After Leanna punched the man, the situation became very hostile. He started cursing and getting in Carr’s face. ‘For a second, I was worried that it was going to escalate,’ she said.

Luckully, a couple walked nearby and witnessed the attack, so they yelled at the man to ‘keep walking’ and he left her alone.

The 26-year-old girl from Colorado was widely praised on social media for defending herself.

“Respect all women in the world, they are not toys, that’s guy should shame his act,” said another Twitter user.

“Disgusted this happened to you. Looks like he got a right fistful! Well deserved I may add,” one woman wrote. Another simply adding, “I love you.”

“Sister, kick first. Then when he doubles over, hit between the eyes in the upper nose area. Then ask him if he’d treat The BVM that way. If he says no, repeat,” said another user.

Leanna also told Fox that she does not advocate violence as a first response, but she noted that she did felt in danger.

“This type of street harassment is normalized and happens far too often. So many women don’t know how to respond or don’t feel confident enough sticking up for themselves,” she said. “I don’t think that violence is the answer, but I also think it’s important for women to realize that they’re not objects and they don’t deserve to be treated this way.”

“I’m no ‘hero’ for punching the guy, I was simply defending myself. I don’t think that my reaction should be glorified,” Carr added. “This happens to women every single day. I hope my role in this whole situation can be as a voice for those who didn’t have one.”

Marine Veteran Unloads on ‘Boy Scouts’ For Their Controversial Decision To Allow Girls To Join

This Thursday, during his appearance on ‘Fox & Friends’ on Thursday, Marine veteran Johnny Jones told what most of us are probably thinking right now after Boy Scouts announced that they will remove ‘boy’ from their name.

‘We live in a culture where you can’t ask kids to be tough. You can’t ask little boys to be masculine,’ Johnny Jones told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade.

The organization’s announcement followed it’s decision in 2017, allowing girls to join their male counterparts.

‘We believe it is critical to evolve how our programs meet the needs of families interested in positive and lifelong experiences for their children,’ Boy Scouts Chief Executive Michael Surbaugh said.

But for the Marine veteran Johnny Jones, the attempt of the organization for neutrality was potentially harmful to young boys. Johnny Jones lamented how the culture considered using the term ‘boy’ to be toxic.

‘To me, it’s toxic to not teach my 9-year-old to be tough and not cry every time he gets hurt,’ Jones said.

Marine veteran Jones added, however, that he thinks girls can participate in activities like sleeping outside. But he pointed that ‘they also like to play dress-up and have time and do tea time.’

‘It’s not to say that little girls shouldn’t have these opportunities,’ Jones replied on Kilmeade after he said that Girls Scouts still existed.

Jones said that he wasn’t sure what our society would gain if it continued to push against masculinity. Jones brought up how his father didn’t cry for him when he was younger but on the contrary, his father encouraged him to join the Boy Scouts because that was a good thing for him.

‘I never saw my dad cry,’ he said. ‘That wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. When I was old enough to understand that he didn’t have superhero powers then I learned he could cry and that was OK.’

Sarah Sanders On Wolf: ‘That Evening Says A Whole Lot More About Her Than It Does About Me’

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders finally spoke about the controversial performance of the comedian Michelle Wolf at the (WHCD) White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.

Michelle Wolf, which stood only 2 feet away from Sarah went after the WH press secretary’s physical appearance and her religious beliefs.

Many of the politicos and journalists from both sides who also attended the dinner, slammed Michelle Wolf about what they perceived as mean-spirited attacks.

There have been many reports by the journalists about Sarah’ behind-the-scene reaction that evening, but Sanders had yet to publicly speak on the matter.

That was until her appearance on ‘Fox & Friends’ this Thursday morning.

‘Look, I think that evening says a whole lot more about her than it does about me,’ started Sarah.

‘The people that were my friends before that evening are my friends today, and I’m going to continue doing the job that I came here to do every single day,’ Sarah continued. ‘I’m very proud of the fact that I work in this administration for this president, and we’re going to keep pushing forward and doing everything we can to make America better.’

‘I think we’ve had a great first year and a half at doing that. A huge success story that we’re proud of,’ Sarah added. ‘I hope that she can find some of the same happiness that we all have because I think she may need a little bit more of that in her life, because the rest of us here are doing great.’

Prior to Sarah’ ‘Fox & Friends’ appearance, the WH press secretary reportedly said she would pray for Michelle Wolf.

‘Sarah Sanders was smiling. She owned it. I asked her about the attack and she shrugged with a smile and just said the attacks didn’t bother her and that she’s praying for the comedian,’ wrote The DC’s Benny Johnson on Facebook.

SC Senate Approves Ban On Virtually All Abortions In South Carolina

This Wednesday night. the South Carolina Senate took a bold step to protect the lives of unborn children and passed a bill that will ban all abortions, except in cases of incest, rape or threats to the mothers life.

The bill is expected to ban about 97% of the 5,700 abortions performed in the state each year.

The bill passed the The South Carolina Senate by a vote of 28-10 and it will require a second vote of approval in order to move to the state House for consideration.

Obviously, the law has very little chance of standing given the framework of the much-maligned SCOTUS decision known as Roe v. Wade. However, many lawmakers hope that it will trigger a chain effect that will lead to a direct challenge to the 1972 decision that launched an almost 500 year-long culture war.

‘It’s designed to give the court an opportunity to revisit Roe v. Wade,’ said state Senate Majority Leader Shane Massey.

It is very likely that at least one SCOTUS justice would have to leave before pro-lifers could hope for an overturning of Roe v. Wade.

Even if this happened, President Donald Trump would still have to appoint a judge with the fortitude to pass the gauntlet of Senate hearings.

The enthusiastic pro-lifers maintain that even though they consider South Carolina’s ban to be a strong step forward, it still does not go far enough.

After Controversial Decision To Allow Girls To Join, The Boy Scouts Are Dropping ‘Boy’ From Their Name

The Boy Scouts have announced a major change in their organization that will happen in February 2019. They will change their name to Scouts BSA.

This decision comes after their previous announcement back in 2017, where they decided to allow girls to join in, despite many objections from the Girl Scouts.

‘We believe it is critical to evolve how our programs meet the needs of families interested in positive and lifelong experiences for their children.’ said the chief executive of the Boy Scouts, Michael Surbaugh.

The chief customer officer for the Girl Scouts, Lisa Matgosian, wasn’t too happy about this so she stated the following:

‘We’re disappointed in the way the BSA handled this. We’ve enjoyed a strong relationship and partnership with them over the years and we’re disappointed that the BSA didn’t discuss this with us to say “we’re having trouble with our membership.”’

‘There’s something deeply sad about a society that presses for the Boy Scouts to stop being the Boy Scouts. And there is something hilarious about the Girl Scouts now complaining that the no-longer Boy Scouts will accept girls.’ said Ben Shapiro.

Matt Walsh pointed out two things that America can learn about the ‘self-destruction’ of the Boy Scouts Organization.

Walsh also reminded his followers not t o surrender to the ‘Left’ because ‘they will not be satisfied until you are completely obliterated.’

Surbaugh also made a prediction that both girls and boys in Scouts BSA would refer to themselves simply as scouts, rather that adding a gender like ‘boy’ or ‘girl’.

The organization stated that it would begin accepting girls in the Scouts BSA next year.

Public Schools Failing Our Children: Majority Of 8th Graders Are Not Proficient In Reading And Math

The National Assessment of Educational Progress released a report revealing that approximately two-thirds of eighth graders in American public schools were not proficient in math and reading last year.

The report was released by the U.S. Department of Education and it revealed that 65% of eighth graders in America’s public schools were not proficient in reading and 67% of the children were not proficient in math.

The report also revealed that public schools in urban districts have significantly worse results.

CNS News reported the following:

  • Only 5 percent of Detroit public-school eighth graders were proficient or better in math. Only 7 percent were proficient or better in reading.
  • In the Cleveland public schools, only 11 percent of eighth graders were proficient or better in math and only 10 percent were proficient or better in reading.
  • In the Baltimore public schools, only 11 percent were proficient or better in math and only 13 percent were proficient or better in reading.

CNS News carefully noted that the Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics describes proficiency in math for eighth graders as being able to “understand the connections between fractions, percents, decimals, and other mathematical topics such as algebra and functions. Students at this level are expected to have a thorough understanding of Basic level arithmetic operations—an understanding sufficient for problem-solving in practical situations.”

In regards to the children’s reading skills, the NCES defines proficiency in reading for eighth graders as being able to “provide relevant information and summarize main ideas and themes. They should be able to make and support inferences about a text, connect parts of a text, and analyze text features. Students performing at this level should also be able to fully substantiate judgments about content and presentation of content.”

Seems like the U.S. educational system is failing our children, both in terms of education and morality. The system once charged with educating and encouraging free thought is now about indoctrination.

And just like many times before, “Insufficient Funding” will be declared as the ‘obvious’ reason these kids are failing, but no matter how much you fund a failing system it will never produce the results you are looking for. Public schools don’t seem to realize this.

Technology and alternative learning methods are slowly making many traditional schooling methods increasingly irrelevant. Our educational system needs to be upgraded.

In our opinion, maybe schools should care more about the actual learning process and not just about passing. Things would probably be different then.

Roseanne Barr Slams Wolf After Her WHCD Performance: ‘Comedy Has To Be Funny’

Many big-name comedians like Kathy Griffin showed support for Michelle Wolf after she received huge backlash for her performance at the WHCD, but one comedian appears to be very displeased and even suggested that Wolf was not even funny.

This was one of many tweets Roseanne Barr posted one day after Michelle Wolf’s performance. After posting this, Roseanne unloaded on the comedian and every other comedian that supports her.

She defined three rules of comedy: Never target someone more famous than you, comedy should come from love, and the comic shouldn’t portray the audience as an “a**hole”.

Then she retweeted a post in Sarah Sanders’ defence, showing the Democrats hypocrisy:
