First Black Billionaire In U.S. Gives President Trump A+ On Economy – Claims The Dems Are Moving Too Far Left

The founder of cable network BET and the first African American billionaire in America, Robert Johnson, fired a warning shot across the Democrat’s bow.

Robert Johnson is a life-long Democrat who has given generously to Democrat causes and he also supported Hillary Clinton. So, if a guy like that is giving President Trump an A+ on the economy and says that the Democrats are moving too far left, it’s not looking good for the Dems.

“The tax cuts clearly helped stimulate the economy. But, overall if you look at the US economy and the number of people who are no longer looking for jobs but seeing the opportunities for job growth you gotta give the President an A+ for that,” said Robert Johnson.

America’s political establishment is riven with partisanship that has become “very wicked and very mean,” said media mogul and entrepreneu Robert Johnson, who added that the Democratic Party has become too liberal for his liking, CNBC reported.

“The party in my opinion, for me personally, has moved too far to the left,” Johnson, the founder of cable network BET and RLJ Companies business network, told CNBC’s Hadley Gamble on Tuesday.

“And for that reason, I don’t have a particular candidate (I’m supporting) in the party at this time,” Robert Johnson said. “I think at the end of the day, if a Democrat is going to beat Trump, then that person, he or she, will have to move to the center and you can’t wait too long to do that.”

He described himself as a long-time centrist and Democrat. Johnson publicly supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. However, he has since expressed admiration for some of President Trump’s policies, particularly those related to the economy.

“I think the economy is doing great, and it’s reaching populations that heretofore had very bad problems in terms of jobs and employments and the opportunities that come with employment … so African-American unemployment is at its lowest level, ” he said.

“I give the president a lot of credit for moving the economy in a positive direction that’s benefiting a large amount of Americans,” Johnson said. “I think the tax cuts clearly helped stimulate the economy. I think business people have more confidence in the way the economy is going.”

When asked about President Trump’s style of leadership — considered divisive by many on the left — Johnson commented that President Trump has “got his own style,” though he perhaps needs to “step back a little bit from some of his showmanship.”

“A lot of people are not going to like that style,” Johnson said, “but when he says he’s going to try to do something economically, you have to give him credit for taking some specific steps to do that.”

“At the end of the day, the American people are looking for someone who can deliver economically and deliver on opportunities,” he said.

Nadler Raises The Stakes – He Will Subpoena Jeff Sessions, Jared Kushner & Nine Others

Jerry Nadler considerably raised the stakes in his public battle with President Trump. Nadler’s committee will vote to subpoena Jared Kushner, Jeff Sessions, and Michael Flynn among other past and present Trump advisers.

There is still no information on whether any of President Trump’s children have been subpoenaed or how the President would react to that subpoena.

The President has taken a lot of flak for having Jared Kushner in the White House as many people believing he’s not qualified. Kushner is a life-long Democrat and people believe that he is in over his head and that in the end, he will end up hurting President Trump politically.

It sure seems like President Trump will have to deal with this at some point and either send him back to New York or reduce his role.

Politico reported that House Judiciary Committee will vote on Thursday to authorize subpoenas for 12 of former special counsel Mueller’s witnesses — including President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, his former deputy Rod Rosenstein, former national security adviser Michael Flynn, former chief of staff John Kelly and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

Each of the listed witnesses provided crucial testimony to Robert Mueller about President Trump’s efforts to thwart the Russia investigation, and the committee’s efforts are certain to meet resistance from a White House that has already blocked testimony from senior aides like former White House Counsel Don McGahn and former adviser Hope Hicks.

The subpoena targets also include Dylan Howard and David Pecker, the two executives of American Media, Inc. who testified about President Trump’s alleged hush money payments to a woman who accused him of an extramarital affair before the election. And it includes current and former Trump administration officials Rick Dearborn, Jody Hunt and Rob Porter.

The list also includes Keith Davidson, an attorney who previously represented adult-film actress Stormy Daniels. President Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen orchestrated a $130,000 payment to Daniels to buy her silence over an alleged affair with the President. Michael Cohen is serving a 3 year prison sentence in part for the hush-money payment, which prosecutors said amounted to a campaign finance violation.

Davidson previously stated that he had asked the committee for a so-called “friendly” subpoena in order to comply with the committee’s demands for documents and testimony.

“As always, I remain open to reaching a reasonable accommodation and will not issue subpoenas if the information we are seeking is voluntarily provided. We will get answers one way or the other,” Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler said in a statement.

U.S. Judge Sides With Big Pharma In Drug Advertising Case – Blocks President Trump’s New Rule

The pharmaceutical industry is probably the biggest abuser in our country’s corrupt system. Obama tried to take on big Pharma and quickly caved in, while George Bush rolled over and basically gave them a handout.

The truth is, every U.S. knows big pharma is screwing us big time, on an almost instinctual level. We just never had a leader with the will to take them on.

President Trump may have lost this small battle, but he must win the war to drive down costs. And when he does, the Democrats will be stuck in a hard place because even they wouldn’t dare try to stop a win like that from reaching the American people.

Reuters reported on Monday that a federal judge dealt a blow to the Trump administration by striking down a new rule that would’ve forced pharmaceutical companies to include the wholesale prices of their drugs in television advertising.

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta in Washington sided with drug-makers Merck & Co Inc, Eli Lilly and Co and Amgen Inc by halting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services rule from taking effect on Tuesday as planned.

In his ruling, Mehta set aside the entire rule as invalid, clamming that the HHS lacked authority from the U.S. Congress to compel drug manufacturers to disclose list prices.

The Department of Health and Human Services did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

HHS Secretary Alex Azar announced the rule on May 8, clamming that forcing drug-makers to disclose their prices in TV advertising could help drive down skyrocketing prescription drug costs if the companies were embarrassed by the prices or afraid they would scare away the customers.

The rule was originally suggested in May last year, as part of Trump’s “blueprint” to lower prescription drug costs for American consumers.

The judge said such disclosures could well be an effective tool in halting the rising cost of prescription drugs. “But no matter how vexing the problem of spiraling drug costs may be, HHS cannot do more than what Congress has authorized,” Mehta concluded.

Under the rule, the wholesale, or list, price would be included if it was $35 or more for a month’s supply or the usual course of therapy. HHS said the 10 most commonly advertised drugs had list prices of $488 to $16,938 per month or for a usual course of therapy.

AG Barr Slams The Democrats For Creating ‘Public Spectacle’ With Mueller’s Report, Vows To Block More Subpoena’s From Congress

Attorney General Bill Barr is done messing around with the Democrats. The left wing is in disarray and has no idea what to do next.

Some Democrats want to impeach President Trump and lose in the Senate, if not lose in the House, during the process.

Others know that this course of action would sink their chances of beating President Trump in the next election to say nothing of the House and the Senate and prefer the cautious approach.

So off they go, with no clear goal, other than to create as many public spectacles as they can to try and damage the President politically.

Luckally, AG Barr sees through them all.

The Associated Press reported on Monday that Attorney General William Barr accused the Dems of trying to create a “public spectacle” by subpoenaing Special Counsel Mueller to testify before Congress about the Russia investigation.

In an interview with the AP , AG Barr stated that the Justice Department would support Robert Mueller if he decides that he “doesn’t want to subject himself” to congressional testimony. AG Barr also said the Justice Department would seek to block any attempt by Congress to subpoena members of the special counsel’s team.

There is no indication that Robert Mueller doesn’t want to appear before Congress on July 17. But he put lawmakers on notice that any testimony he gives won’t go beyond his 448-page report that was released back in April. At a news conference in May, Robert Mueller claimed that his team chose the words in the report carefully and that the work literally speaks for itself.

“I’m not sure what purpose is served by dragging him up there and trying to grill him,” AG Barr said. “I don’t think Mueller should be treated that way or subject himself to that, if he doesn’t want to.”

Robert Mueller no longer works for the Justice Department, but the department could attempt to limit his testimony about decisions he made during his time as a special counsel.

This Monday, AG Barr spoke to the AP in South Carolina, where he visited a prison to discuss the criminal justice reform that the President signed into law last year.

The Dems criticized AG Barr, clamming that he acts more like President Trump’s personal lawyer than the attorney general. Bill Barr enthusiastically embraced President Trump’s political agenda, cast Robert Mueller’s report as a vindication for the president and launched an investigation into the origins of the probe — something Trump has repeatedly said should happen.

AG Barr said the investigation is ongoing and claimed, from what he has seen so far, that it’s “essential to take a deeper look at how things unfolded.” Barr said he hasn’t received a satisfactory answer about why a counterintelligence investigation was opened on President Trump’s campaign, or whether there would have been a less drastic measure that could’ve been taken at the time.

Trump Praises The Queen, Blasts Teresa May & British Ambassador Kim Darroch As Tensions Continue To Rise

President Trump is speaking out about some more scandalous leaks. And they hit close to home, they are coming from the British government.

America and England have had a special relationship for a long time and the leaking of diplomatic cables have put that relationship in jeopardy.

The cables were basically gossip, commentating on news reports of the day but the soon to be former British Ambassador Kim Darroch did disparage President Trump and his administration.

This Monday, President Trump stated that he would “no longer deal with” the U.K.’s ambassador to the U.S. after leaked cables revealed he told top government officials that President Trump is “insecure” and “incompetent,” reported The Hill.

“I do not know the Ambassador, but he is not liked or well thought of within the U.S. We will no longer deal with him,” President Trump tweeted.

President Trump also slammed outgoing British Prime Minister Theresa May, who expressed “full faith” in Ambassador Kim Darroch, over her handling of Brexit.

“What a mess she and her representatives have created. I told her how it should be done, but she decided to go another way,” he wrote, adding that “the good news for the wonderful United Kingdom is that they will soon have a new Prime Minister.”

The President also said that he “thoroughly enjoyed” his state visit to the U.K. last month, but in another jab at May, added that “it was the Queen who I was most impressed with!”

Haaretz reported that trade Minister Liam Fox, who is on a visit to Washington, told BBC radio he would apologize to President Trump’s daughter Ivanka, whom he is due to meet during his trip.

“I will be apologizing for the fact that either our civil service or elements of our political class have not lived up to the expectations that either we have or the United States has about their behavior, which in this particular case has lapsed in a most extraordinary and unacceptable way,” he said.

“Malicious leaks of this nature … can actually lead to a damage to that relationship, which can therefore affect our wider security interest.”

These revelations come at a time when Britain is in hopes off striking a major trade deal with its closest ally after it leaves the European Union, an exit currently scheduled for Oct. 31.

President Trump told reporters, of Darroch: “We are not big fans of that man and he has not served the UK well, so I can understand and I can say things about him but I won’t bother.”

Kamala Harris Vows To Give Black Families $100 Billion In Taxpayer-Funded Giveaways For Housing

Democratic 2020 presidential candidate Kamala Harris upped the ante on her party’s empty promises of “Free Stuff!” by claiming that if she gets elected, she would invest $100 billion of taxpayer money into housing assistance for black families to help them pay for their homes.

Kamala Harris’ latest pandering scheme is part of her effort to buy black votes.

“After generations of discrimination, it’s time to give Black families a real shot at home-ownership,” She said yesterday at Essence magazine’s Global Black Economic Forum (video below).

“If we eliminate racial wealth disparities in home-ownership rates, median Black wealth would grow $32,113 per household, and the wealth gap between Black and white households would shrink 31%.” She said.

Her program means to assist black Americans living in “red-lined” communities, and areas that the Home Owners’ Loan Corporation dissuaded lenders from investing in.

“Redlining has resulted in households of color receiving just 2% of the [Federal Housing Administration] loans expanded between 1934 to 1962, and formerly red lined neighborhoods are sites of deep racial disparities in home value and lending activity,” according to Kamala Harris’ campaign website.

She made the announcement after recent polls showed Harris gaining on presidential front-runner Joe Biden after she accused him of being a racist because he worked with segregationist Democrats many years ago.

Harris was heavily mocked on Twitter for pandering to black voters and pointed out that Harris’ ancestors in Jamaica owned slaves many years ago.

One user noted: “Her Jamaican family decendants were slave owners… The historical accounts are so detailed that should Kamala Harris want to search out the families of the people her relative reportedly tortured, she would probably be able to find them, and pay reparations to them herself.”

“Just how much of our money do you plan to spend to buy the presidency?” Another user asked.

“Translation: lower standards for black people because I don’t believe they can succeed without me stacking the deck for them in exchange for their votes.” Another tweet said.

Ocasio-Cortez Blocks Reporter For Stating Facts – Then She Makes Her Pay For It

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez loves to blast people on Twitter but when it comes to take some of what she gives she runs and hides.

One America News Network (OANN) reporter, Liz Wheeler, called out the 29-year-old freshman representative in one of her tweets and got blocked for it.

“Trump spent millions on a poorly attended, 1 day parade days after saying he couldn’t afford toothpaste & soap for caged children,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“Did he ask Congress for military parade💰? No.Trump held these kids hostage to secure billions for their abusers. Congress needs to see that,” she added.

Liz Wheeler didn’t wait long to respond to Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, so she went on Twitter and slammed the freshman representative using truth and facts.

“Stop. You voted NO on a $4.5B bill to give emergency humanitarian relief to migrant children in the border detention centers.”

“If you wanted to help the kids, YOU COULD HAVE. But you didn’t,” Wheeler responded in the tweet that got her blocked.

“Omg hahahah @AOC blocked me!” Wheeler said in another tweet. “I am ALWAYS respectful & civil. I present facts only, nothing personal. Somebody is threatened by facts & the truth!”

“This is the tweet which made her block me. And this is her tweet I was responding to. The truth stings,” Wheeler said with a screenshot.

“Dear Lord. Just ignore people who are rude & civilly engage people who challenge your policies. You are a PUBLIC OFFICIAL, @AOC. It’s a critical part of our public dialogue & self-govt to hold elected officials accountable,” she said in another tweet.

And she is 100% correct. A court ruled that a public official can not block anyone on Twitter after President Trump blocked some users a while ago.

“I’m also team never-block. I’ve legit never blocked a single person on Twitter. I love engaging with people who disagree with me! Guess @AOC isn’t confident enough in her ‘principles’ to do the same,” Wheeler said.

“Also you’d have to be a tech illiterate Granny to think blocking somebody prevents them from seeing your tweets.”

“So the only reason to block… is so your ideas aren’t challenged. There’s a fitting word for that: cowardice,” she also added.

‘Seriously Joe?’: Steve Scalise Blasts Biden After He Claimed Russian Meddling Didn’t Happen On His & Obama’s Watch

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise blasted 2020 Democratic candidate Joe Biden after he downplayed any Russian meddling in the 2016 election under his or former President Barack Obama’s watch.

During a CNN interview that aired on Friday, Joe Biden promised that Russian election interference “wouldn’t have, and it didn’t” happen “on my watch, on Barack’s watch.”

After Special Counsel Mueller released his final report of Russian interference in the presidential election, Obama’s administration came under attack for “completely [dropping] the ball on Russia’s interference in the 2016 campaign.”

As The New York Times previously reported, Obama’s Administration knew about the Russian meddling but did not announce it sooner in fear of being “perceived as taking sides in the election,” former Secretary of Homeland security Jeh Johnson told the Times.

“Seriously, Joe?? It DID happen on your watch and Obama’s watch!!” Steve Scalise responded to the Democratic presidential candidate.

Steve Scalise took note of Joe Biden’s comments and called him out for them by taking a “walk down memory lane” in a series of tweets.

The Republican lawmaker went on and pointed out “how weak the Obama administration was on Russia,” “Obama’s Secretary of State Hillary Clinton offering a ‘reset’ with Russia,” and Democrats mocking now-Sen. Mitt Romney “for taking the threat of Russia seriously.”

This is not Joe Biden’s only comment he has made and later been called out for. Biden previously claimed that there “wasn’t one single hint of a scandal or a lie” in the 8 years of the Obama administration — even though there were multiple scandals during Obama’s presidency.

The Russian meddling comment by Joe Biden is only the latest stumble in his 2020 Democratic presidential primary race, as he’s seen his support among Democratic voters decrease following the first debate and has even been passed in fundraising by Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

Trump Overrules The Swamp – Vows To Sign ‘Favored Nation’ Executive Order To Finally Lower Drug Prices

It’s no secret that one of the main industries buying our politicians is the Pharma industry. It doesn’t matter that they are subsidized by the American taxpayer in part (gov’t funded research), they still insist on hitting us with the highest drug prices in the world.

Well today President Trump spoke to reporters and told them that he will issue an executive order and finally bring Pharma to heel.

The Washington Examiner reported that the White House is writing an executive order that would reduce what the U.S. pays for drugs so that it is more in line with the lowest price paid elsewhere in the world, the President told reporters on Friday.

“As you know, for years and years other nations paid less for drugs than we do,” President Trump stated on Friday at the White House. “Sometimes by 60-70%.”

“We’re working on it right now, we’re working on a favored nations clause, where we pay whatever the lowest nation’s price is.”

“Why should other nations — like Canada — but why should other nations pay much less than us? They’ve taken advantage of the system for a long time, Pharma.”

The President claimed that the announcement was coming “very shortly” but he didn’t provide other details about how the plan would work. A “favored nations clause” refers to a contract in which a seller gives buyers the same best terms that it offers to other buyers.

Last year, the Department of Health and Human Services proposed an “international drug pricing index” that would help Medicare pay similar rates for drugs as what other countries do.

President Trump has been eager to deliver on his campaign promise to lower drug prices in our country, and has decried what he calls a “global freeloading” system in which drug companies are able to offer their products at a lower cost to other countries by charging the U.S. more.

Trump vowed when he was running for president in 2016 that he would go after pharmaceutical companies, whom he said “are getting away with murder,” and floated the idea of giving the government more control in Medicare to directly negotiate prices.

Joe Biden Puts Ocasio-Cortez In Her Place: Democrats Majority Are Not ‘Way Left’

2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden appeared in an interview on CNN and stated that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — while “brilliant” and “bright” — doesn’t represent Democrats who can win a general election in a competitive district or state, The New York Post reported.

The Democratic presidential front-runner expressed his profound skepticism of the leftward tilt of his party, arguing that the majority of the Democrats are “center-left” — not “way left.”

During the interview, it was obvious that Joe Biden doesn’t feel the need to swing to the left to capture the Democratic base and, instead, hopes to set himself apart with his moderation.

He pointed to the 2018 midterm elections, where several swing districts were won by more moderate Democrat candidates.

“That’s what this election is about. I’m happy to debate that issue and all those issues with my friends because guess what, look who won the races. Look who won last time out,” Biden said.

“By the way, I think Ocasio-Cortez is a brilliant, bright woman, but she won a primary. In the general election fights, who won? Mainstream Democrats who are very progressive on social issues and very strong on education and health care.”

Ocasio-Cortez has risen to liberal stardom after she won a surprising victory against Democratic Rep. Joe Crowley in New York’s 14th Congressional District primary in 2018.

CNN reported that Joe Biden’s clearest policy difference with the left — health care — was evident during the interview, too.

“I have a plan how to do that that’s rational, that will cost a hell of a lot less and that will work,” Biden said about health care, slamming Medicare for All, the liberal-backed proposal that would mandate Medicare as the single-payer system for all Americans. Despite talking about health care on the trail, Biden has yet to roll out a formal plan, but a number of his Democratic opponents, like Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, have fully embraced Medicare for All.

Joe Biden also stated that he would not abolish private insurance but would offer Medicare as “an option for anybody who in fact wants to buy into Medicare for All.”

“But if they like their employer-based insurance, which a lot of unions broke their neck to get, a lot of people like theirs, they shouldn’t have to give it up,” Biden said.
