Jane Fonda Asks Ocasio-Cortez How She Handles Being “Vilified” By President Trump

During a virtual conversation for Greenpeace USA, actress Jane Fonda asked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez how she handled being bullied by the President.

“You and I have both experienced being vilified, including by presidents, and so I’m going to ask you a question that I get asked a lot: How do you handle it?”

“Well, you know, it’s not easy, I think is the first thing to communicate,” AOC responded.

“The reason that these attacks happen, whether they’re on journalists, whether they’re on progressive politicians, whether they’re on women, people of color, etc… is to exhaust us,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

“It is to wear us down,” she continued.

AOC says people like her do not “have the traditional institutional resources” that people “born into aristocratic families” have.

“The way that I try to endure, honestly the thing that really helps me is the grassroots support that we have,” the NY Congresswoman explains.

CNN’s Amanpour Engages In Heated Exchange With GOP Spox Over Biden Corruption Allegations

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour engaged in a heated exchange with GOP spokesperson Liz Harrington over stories resulting from the scandal involving the purported laptop of Hunter Biden and allegations of Biden family corruption.

Harrington said “Why don’t you want to report this? This is one of the most powerful families in Washington.”

“And you’re okay with our interests being sold out to profit Joe Biden and his family, while we’re suffering during a pandemic from communist China?” she asked.

“Absolutely, absolutely,” CNN’s Amanpour said, brushing Harrington off.

Later, Amanpour said “as you know perfectly well, I am a journalist and a reporter and I follow the facts and there has never been any issues in terms of corruption”

At considerable personal risk, former Biden family business partners Tony Bobulinski and Bevan Cooney, and computer shop owner John Paul Mac Isaac, have come forward with tens of thousands of primary-source documents — internal corporate records, emails, and text messages — detailing years of business dealings that centered on trading on the Biden name, as the NY Post reported.

This material suggests that, despite Joe Biden’s insistence that he knew nothing about his family’s business deals, he was well aware of his son Hunter Biden’s business ventures in China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and elsewhere.

Joy Behar Threatens To Leave The Country If Melania Won’t Stop Trump’s Border Policy

Joy Behar went after half of President Trump’s family and most of his administration on “The View” today.

Behar lashed out at Ivanka and Melania Trump over Trump’s border policy calling what the Trump administration did a crime against humanity.

While she did not call for Ivanka and Melania Trump to be brought up on charges she did demand that President Trump, Stephen Miller, Jeff Sessions, and others be sent to The Hague and charged with crimes against humanity.

Some would say that was a silver lining that came from Behar’s meltdown, she threatened to leave the country if Melania didn’t stop Trump’s policy.

“This is a crime against humanity. I cannot — and then Trump saying, oh, they’re treated very well. Ivanka, are you watching your father?” Joy asked.

“Melania, I know you don’t care. That’s what you said. Pay attention to these children,” she demanded.

“Do something. I will not stay in a country or be a part of a country that does something like that to children,” she threatened.

“It’s outrageous. It’s outrageous. To this day, I have a pain in my chest from that day.”

Behar added, “I mean, is this the country we want? What kind of country do we want?”

“Do you know that the youngest child that was separated at the border was 4 months old? That child is going to be traumatized.”

“This is an emotional disaster that these people have put on us. I, as an American, disavow all of it. I disavow this entire administration.”

“Stephen Miller, Rod Rosenstein, Jeff Sessions, and Donald Trump need to be brought up on charges of crimes against humanity at The Hague,” Behar said.

“Well-handled” – People From Across The Spectrum Praise Debate Moderator Kristen Welker

Commentators from both sides of the spectrum praised debate moderator NBC News’ Kristen Welker for Thursday’s final presidential debate, especially following moderator Chris Wallace’s performance.

Welker kept a tight leash during Thursday’s debate and many appeared to appreciate it following the debate with Wallace – which he noted went “off the tracks.” Thursday’s debate also had each candidates’ microphone muted for the first two-minute response.

“Welker overall doing an excellent job thus far,” commentator Ben Shapiro tweeted.

NBC News Capitol Hill correspondent Kasie Hunt wrote that Welker “has worked harder than everybody else every day of her life” and said the “honest hard work” has paid off.

“I’m beaming watching Kristen Welker,” PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor tweeted. “Such an amazing moment for her and for all who know of her hard work and dedication to journalism. Go girl!”

“Update: Kristen Welker is killing it ya’ll,” she later added.

Reporter Yashar Ali tweeted that Welker “had an impossible task tonight and she did a fantastic job. He added that she was “the best debate moderator in the last two cycles.”

Earlier in the evening, Ali tweeted that she “is crisp and fresh as a moderator,” adding that “she’s doing a great job.”

“So far @kwelkernbc doing a nice job,” journalist Megyn Kelly wrote towards the beginning of Thursday’s debate. Kelly later noted that even President Trump tipped his hat at the moderator, telling Welker: “So far I do respect very much the way you’re handling this.”

“Who Build The Cages, Joe?” – Trump Reminds Joe Biden That Obama Admin Built The Border Cages

President Trump asked Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden “who built the cages” while debating illegal immigration during the last Presidential debate Thursday.

Trump and Biden spoke during the last presidential debate in Nashville, Tennessee, Thursday and debate moderator Kristen Welker of NBC News brought up immigration.

The two presidential candidates got heated on the topic, with President Trump repeatedly asking Joe Biden about who originally built cages at the border – a point of contention throughout Trump’s presidency.

“Who built the cages? Who built the cages, Joe?” Trump said as Biden tried to speak.

“Let’s talk about what we’re talking about,” Biden responded. “What happened? Parents, their kids were ripped from their arms and separated. And now they cannot find over 500 sets of those parents and those kids are alone, nowhere to go, nowhere to go. It’s criminal. It’s criminal.”

Trump replied by saying that the children “are so well taken care of” and said the facilities “so clean.” Welker then asked Biden about the Obama administration failing “to deliver immigration reform,” and Biden said that it was “a mistake.” He noted that he was vice president at the time and not president.

Pictures of children in cages at the border have gone viral during Trump’s presidency to hit back at Trump’s immigration policy. The photographs, however, are actually from when former President Barack Obama was in office, the AP previously reported during one incident. Biden was vice president at the time.

“The photos, taken by The Associated Press, were from 2014, during the Obama administration, but were presented by liberal activists as if they showed the effects of Trump’s immigration policy now. Villaraigosa, Favreau and some others deleted their tweets when the mistake was pointed out,” according to the AP.

“Uh, Why Would You Do That?” – Biden Crumbles, Gives An Answer So Strange That Even The Moderator Is Stunned

President Donald Trump set up former Vice President Joe Biden during an exchange about the oil and gas industry. In the coming days, Joe Biden is going to regret what he said.

Similarly to how he set up Hillary Clinton about coal President Trump asked Joe Biden if he was going to end the oil industry and Joe Biden said, “Yes.”

His answer was so crazy, moderator Kristen Welker even asked, “Uh, why would you do that.”

President Trump pressured Joe Biden about his remarks and stance on fracking. Biden, said over and over again that he never said he would ban fracking and challenged President Trump to play the tape.

Here’s the “tape.”

What Joe Biden said during the debate about fracking may not move the needle for President Trump nationally but, it’s going to move the needle in Pennsylvania and that’s all that matters.

President Trump also called out Joe Biden over his disastrous green energy plan.

At one point during the debate, Joe Biden was so rattled he checked his watch.

During the discussion about immigration, Trump nailed Biden and the former Obama administration for building the cages that children were kept in.

Another great moment was when Trump chipped away at Biden’s policy, asking him why didn’t he do anything when he was in Washington the previous 47 years.

It wasn’t a good night for Joe Biden and he probably gave President Trump a huge gift for the election.

CBS News Issues Statement On WH’s “Unprecedented Decision To” Release Video Of 60 Minutes Interview

CBS News announced that the White House’s “unprecedented decision to” release its footage from the upcoming “60 Minutes” interview will not deter the show.

President Trump posted a 38 minutes of his “60 Minutes” interview with journalist Lesley Stahl Thursday, before its intended Sunday release by the network.

Trump criticized Stahl after the interview, which he reportedly abruptly ended Tuesday.

“The White House’s unprecedented decision to disregard their agreement with CBS News and release their footage will not deter 60 MINUTES from providing its full, fair and contextual reporting which presidents have participated in for decades,” the network wrote in a statement.

“60 MINUTES, the most-watched news program on television, is widely respected for bringing its hallmark fairness, deep reporting and informative context to viewers each week. Few journalists have had the presidential interview experience Lesley Stahl has delivered over her decades as one of the premier correspondents in America and we look forward to audiences seeing her third interview with President Trump and subsequent interview with Vice President Pence this weekend,” the network continued.

The president told viewers to “look at the bias, hatred and rudeness on behalf of 60 Minutes and CBS” in a tweet with a link to the White House’s footage of the interview.

“Tonight’s anchor, Kristen Welker, is far worse!” he said, referring to the NBC News journalist moderating Thursday’s presidential debate.

Schumer Says He Had “Long & Serious Talk” with Sen. Feinstein After She Complimented Lindsey Graham

After Senator Feinstein enraged progressive groups by being cordial to Lindsey Graham, complimenting him and giving him a hug, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said he had a “long and serious talk” with her.

“I’ve had a long and serious talk with Sen. Feinstein and that’s all I’ll say about it right now,” Schumer said at a press conference.

Many Democrats were furious as Feinstein for thanking Lindsey Graham for “one of the best set of hearings” she’s been a part of.

“I just want to thank you, this has been one of the best set of hearings that I’ve participated in and I want to thank you for your fairness and the opportunity of going back and forth,” Feinstein told Graham.

“It leaves one with a lot of hopes, a lot of questions and even some ideas perhaps of good bipartisan legislation we can put together to make this great country even better,” she added.

Demand Justice, a progressive judicial advocacy group spoke out against Feinstein being cordial and gracious with Graham.

The group’s executive director Brian Fallon told the Huffington Post “it’s time for Sen. Feinstein to step down from her leadership position on the Senate Judiciary Committee. If she won’t, her colleagues need to intervene.”

He added “she has undercut Dems’ position at every step of this process, from undermining calls for filibuster and Court reform … to thanking Republicans for the most egregious partisan power grab in the modern history of the Supreme Court.”

During one exchange with Judge Amy Coney Barrett, Feinstein replied “That’s quite a definition, i’m really impressed. Thank you.”

Earlier today, Senator Schumer and the Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats held a press briefing.

Judge Amy Coney Barrett is set for final confirmation vote Monday.

Democrats boycotted today’s Senate Judiciary Committee vote.

Meadows Puts CBS On Notice, Says Lesley Stahl “More Like Opinion Journalist Than Real Reporter”

White House chief of staff Mark Meadows blasted CBS News “60 Minutes” anchor Lesley Stahl saying she came across as an “opinion journalist” and not a “real reporter.”

He said there is a good chance that President Trump will release the video he has of the now infamous interview before it airs.

Trump said yesterday, “I am pleased to inform you that, for the sake of accuracy in reporting, I am considering posting my interview with Lesley Stahl of 60 Minutes, PRIOR TO AIRTIME! This will be done so that everybody can get a glimpse of what a FAKE and BIASED interview is all about.”

From Fox News: “He didn’t walk out. … He spent over 45 minutes with Lesley Stahl,” Meadows told FOX Business’ “Mornings with Maria” in response to reports that the president had stormed out of the meeting. “Listen, when you have a ’60 Minutes’ reporter, they should be reporter, not opinion journalist. She came across more like an opinion journalist than a real reporter.”

He continued: “Journalism should have standards, and we need to get to the bottom of it, so I think the American people will be able to see it.”

Meadows said there appears to be a “high probability” Trump will release a clip of the interview early, as he tweeted.

A CBS News spokesperson told Fox News that Trump cut the interview short, and a scheduled joint “walk and talk” with himself and Vice President Mike Pence was reportedly scrapped.

The CBS News spokesperson said the White House had agreed to tape the interview for archival purposes only.

Earlier, Trump called out the “60 Minutes” correspondent for not wearing a mask at the White House, sharing a video of a maskless Stahl speaking with two staffers, both of whom were wearing masks.

The CBS News spokesperson said the photo of Stahl without a mask was taken immediately after the interview, and that she had been wearing a mask in the time before the interview.

Jill Biden Claims “It Is Totally Irresponsible People Are Going To” Trump “Rallies & They Are Not Wearing Masks”

Appearing on “The View” today, Joe Biden’s wife, Jill Biden blasted President Donald Trump rally attendees who do not wear masks.

“It’s totally irresponsible that people are going to these [Trump] rallies and they’re not wearing masks, they’re not social distancing,” Jill Biden said.

“It’s irresponsible and people will die because of this,” she continued.

“This is not a political issue. This is a public health issue,” Jill added.

President Donald Trump continues to draw large crowds and reportedly said he plans to do five rallies a day leading up to the election.

“We are going to win. I wouldn’t have told you that maybe two or three weeks ago,” he said.

“We’re going to win. You’re going to work your assess off,” President Trump tells campaign staff, warning them to ignore negative news stories.

“The only way we can lose this election is if they cheat.”
