“Get Out Of The Way” – San Juan Mayor Carmen Cruz Crosses The Line With Her New Trump Insult

San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz reached the spot light again with something so incredibly foolish it is hard to fathom. Imagine you were an elected leader of an island completely dependent on aid from America and you were constantly feuding with the leader of the U.S. who is known to hold grudges.

Now, add that a hurricane is barreling toward your island and you will need President Trump’s help… what should you do?

Most people with common sense would not insult the guy at the top but no one ever said that the Democrats have common sense.

The New York Post reported that San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz told President Trump to “get out of the way,” saying his opinion is not welcome in Puerto Rico — after he tweeted about Tropical Storm Dorian and the nation’s disaster relief spending.

“Wow! Yet another big storm heading to Puerto Rico,” President Trump said. “Will it ever end? Congress approved 92 Billion Dollars for Puerto Rico last year, an all time record of its kind for ‘anywhere.’”

Carmen Cruz, a longtime critic of President Trump, responded to his comments during an appearance on CNN.

“The president continues to express lies because the truth really does not suit him,” Cruz said, calling President Trump’s “92 Billion Dollar” claim false.

“We are not going to be concerned by his behavior, his lack of understanding,” San Juan’s Mayor added. “It’s not $92 billion, it is close to $42 billion…and still, things have not worked appropriately.”

President Trump fired off his tweet on Tuesday morning as Tropical Storm Dorian was barreling through the Caribbean and towards Puerto Rico. It was expected to reach the island nation by Wednesday — possibly as a Category 1 hurricane.
