Michelle Obama Takes Shots At President Trump Over Feud With The Squad

President Donald Trump has come under fire from all sides after his feud with “the Squad” went international.

The Squad members are no innocent bystander but a willing participant in the media’s back and forth with President Trump, and no doubts both sides will be fundraising like mad off the attention.

Usually, the former president’s and first families stay out of current everyday politics, but not former first lady Michelle Obama. She took a few shots at President Trump.

The New York Post reported that former First Lady Michelle Obama weighed in on the furor over President Trump’s comments against Rep. Ilhan Omar, stating, “it’s not my America or your America. It’s our America.”

“What truly makes our country great is its diversity,” she tweeted on Friday. “I’ve seen that beauty in so many ways over the years.”

“Whether we are born here or seek refuge here, there’s a place for us all. We must remember it’s not my America or your America. It’s our America.” She added.

Michelle Obama’s post comes after President Trump suggested that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s and members of her “squad” — Rep. Ayanna Pressley, Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib — should “go back” to their countries to fix their governments, adding, “you can’t leave fast enough.” Only one of the four, Rep. Omar, is foreign-born.

At a Wednesday night rally in North Carolina, members of the crowd broke out into chants of “send her back” when President Trump mentioned Rep. Omar, a line drawing criticism from both Republicans and the Democrats.
