‘Not a Good Look, Chuck:’ Schumer’s Attempt To Blast Trump’s Mexico Deal Backfires In His Face

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer set himself up for a round of mockery after his sarcastic blast of President Trump’s agreement with Mexico.

The New York Democrat joked about President Trump’s historic immigration deal with Mexico, quoting Trump’s announcement in a tweet that was meant to ridicule the move that averted the tariffs against Mexico which would have gone into effect on Monday.

“This is an historic night!” Schumer wrote on Friday in response to President Trump’s tweet. “Now that that problem is solved, I’m sure we won’t be hearing any more about it in the future.”

But Schumer’s attempted mockery boomeranged straight back at him as people on social media noted how the Democrat actually admitted there was a problem to begin with.

Two days before the President’s deal in which he convinced Mexico to agree to keep all immigrants in their country until their court hearings in the U.S., Schumer was accusing President Trump of bluffing.

The President scored a victory despite criticism and doubts from the Dems, establishment Republicans and the left with the mainstream media daily reminding us how President Trump would fail and have to backtrack over his tariff threats.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi condemned the President’s actions. “President Trump undermined America’s preeminent leadership role in the world by recklessly threatening to impose tariffs on our close friend and neighbor to the south.” She said.

While many stayed silent after the deal was announced, others, like Florida Sen. Marco Rubio predicted that it was “going to be very hard” for some in the media to “give the President credit for this.”

Needless to say, the mainstream media was not about to give President Trump any credit for his hard work with Mexico.

But the sour grapes mentality from the left, epitomized by Schumer’s childish swipe at President Trump, only served to prove that Trump has been right about the biased treatment he is given and the Democrats’ agenda to fight him at every corner.
