“Pathetic” – CBC Ripped Apart On Social Media After Trump’s Cameo In “Home Alone 2” Disappears From Christmas Broadcast

If you think that virulent left-wing media bias only plagues the United States, you may be wrong.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation recently demonstrated its own left-wing bias by removing President Trump from a broadcast of the classic 1992 film “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.”

The original film contained a cameo in which the film’s main character, a boy named Kevin, ran into then-businessman Trump at the landmark Plaza Hotel in Manhattan.

But according to viewers who tuned in to watch the film’s broadcast on the CBC, the cameo with Donald Trump was missing.

And the question is why.

“As is often the case with features adapted for television, Home Alone 2 was edited to allow for commercial time within the format,” a spokesperson with the Canadian network said in a statement to ComicBook.com.

Is that really true, though? Analysis by PJ Media suggests not.

“Donald Trump formally announced his campaign in June 2015. The first time the CBC’s cutting of Trump’s cameo appearance was acknowledged on Twitter was around Christmas that year,” the conservative blog notes.

Fact-check: It’s true.

“[E]ither 2015 happened to be the first year the CBC broadcasted the movie … or something happened between the 2014 CBC broadcast of Home Alone 2, and the 2015 CBC broadcast,” the blog continues.

Trump announced his candidacy for office on June 16, 2015, i.e., six months after the CBC allegedly aired “Home Alone 2” with his cameo, and six months before the CBC aired “Home Alone 2” without his cameo.

“Trump’s presidential bid appears to the be beginning of the folks at the CBC being triggered by Trump so badly that they actually had to edit him out of their broadcast of the film. I can’t decide if this is hilarious or sad,” PJ Media concludes.

Dovetailing back to the present, tweets about this omission first appeared this holiday season on Dec. 15.

No one can say for sure how many additional times the CBC has aired “Home Alone 2” this Christmas holiday season. All that’s known for certain is that President Trump’s cameo was definitely removed this year, as well as in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015. But reportedly not 2014.

With this year’s omission having since gone viral, the responses have multiplied.

Is it really any surprise then that this same media outlet felt it appropriate to remove the president’s cameo from “Home Alone 2?”
