The President has not weighed in on the scandal yet, but when he does our guess is he will point out that Rep. Omar paid her lover around $230,000.
Tim Mynett is a political consultant and fundraiser who along with his E. Street Group took in the cash from Rep. Omar’s campaign.
The huge one-year haul was for fundraising, consulting, digital communications, advertising, and travel.
The divorce filing from Dr. Beth Mynett claims her spouse Tim admitted to having an affair with Rep. Ilhan Omar and said he was leaving her for Omar.
Dr. Mynett is 55-years-old and her husband is 38, they have a 13-year-old son together.
The New York Post reported that Washington mom says her political-consultant husband left her for Rep. Omar, according to a bombshell divorce filing.
Dr. Beth Jordan Mynett says that back in April her cheating spouse, Tim Mynett, told her that he was having an affair with the US representative and that he even made a “shocking declaration of love” for the Minnesota congresswoman before he ditched his wife, alleges the filing, submitted in DC Superior Court on Tuesday.
The physician and her 38-year-old husband — who has worked for left-wing Democrats such as Rep. Omar and her Minnesota predecessor, Keith Ellison have a 13-year-old son together.
The 37-year-old congresswoman and mom of three paid Tim Mynett and his E. Street Group approximately $230,000 through her campaign since 2018 for fundraising consulting, digital communications, internet advertising and travel expenses, The New York Post reported.
The physician is also seeking full control of the couple’s DC home, child support and legal fees to be paid by Tim Mynett, as the filing said.
The Daily Mail also reported that Tim Mynett previous worked as national finance director for former Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison, whose seat was took over by Rep. Omar when he ran for Attorney General.
Federal Election Commission records show that Rep. Omar’s team began paying Mynett’s DC-based firm in August of 2018, splashing out $62,500 by the end of 2018.
The payments continued in 2019, with $5,000, $10,000 and $12,000 chunks being shelled out every month, totaling just over $253,000 in just one year.
Mynett has traveled with Rep. Omar all over the country in the past few months with pictures appearing of them side-by-side in New York City, Austin and Seattle as well as Los Angeles.
