Jim Jordan Tears Mueller Apart – Says AG Barr Is Investigating You Right Now

Rep. Jim Jordan gave former Special Counsel Robert Mueller a real beating today as he continuesly blasted him with facts.

Then he warned the former special counsel that he shouldn’t worry anymore because Attorney general William Barr is investigating his witch hunt.

Robert Mueller has been taking a beating from Republicans for hours and he is starting to look haggered and exhausted at the entire affair.

Here is the transcript from The Federalist Papers.

JORDAN: Director, the F.B.I. Interview Joseph miss day on February 28, 2017. He lied. You point this out an page 133, he also denied and falsely stated. In addition he omitted. Three times he lied to the F.B.I. Yet you didn’t charge him with a crime. Why not?

MUELLER: Did you say 193?

JORDAN: Why didn’t you charge him with a crime?

MUELLER: I can’t get into internal deliberations with regard to who would or would not be —

JORDAN: You charged a lot of other people for making false statements. Let’s remember this, in 2016 the F.B.I. Did something they probably haven’t done before.

They spied on two American citizens associated with a presidential campaign. George Papadopoulos and Carter Carter Page they went to the FISA court. They used the now famous dossier as part of the reason they were able to spy on page for better part of a year. With Mr. Papadopoulos they didn’t go to the courts they used human sources.

All kinds from the moment Papadopoulos joins the Trump campaign you have all these people around the world starting to swirl around him. Names like Halper, downer, Thompson, meeting in Rome and London. All kinds of places.

The F.B.I. Even sent a lady posing as somebody else, even dispatched her to London to spy on Mr. Papadopoulos. In one of these meetings Mr. Papadopoulos is talking to a foreign diplomat and he tells the diplomat Russians have dirt on Clinton.

That diplomat then contacts the F.B.I. And the F.B.I. Opens an investigation based on that fact. You point this out on page 1 of the report. July 31, 2016, they open the investigation based on that piece of information. Diplomat tells Papadopoulos Russians — Papadopoulos tells the diplomat Russians have dirt on Clinton. Diplomat tells the F.B.I. What I’m wondering is who told Papadopoulos? How did he find out?

MUELLER: I can’t get into the evidentiary.

JORDAN: You can, you gave us the answer. Page 192 of the report you tell us who told him. Joseph Misfin is the guy who told Papadopoulos.

The professor that teaches and two different universities. This is the guy who told Papadopoulos and the guy who starts it all.

When the F.B.I. Interviews him he lies three times and yet you don’t charge him with a crime. You charge Rick Gates for false statements, Paul Manafort for false statements, Michael Cohen with false statements, you charge Michael Flynn, three-star general with false statements but the guy who puts the country through this whole saga, starts it all for three years we’ve lived this now, he lies, and you guys don’t charge him. I’m curious as to why?

MUELLER: I can’t get into it and it’s obvious we can’t get into charging decisions.

JORDAN: When the F.B.I. Interviewed him in February, when the special counsel’s office interviewed him, did he lie to you guys, too?

MUELLER: Can’t get into that.

JORDAN: Did you interview him?

MUELLER: Can’t get into that?

JORDAN: Is he Russian or western intelligence?

MUELLER: Can’t get into that.

JORDAN: A lot of things you can’t get into. You can charge 13 Russians no one has ever heard, seen or you can charge them and all kinds of people around the president with false statements, but the guy who launches everything, the guy who puts this whole story in motion, you can’t charge him. I think that’s amazing.

MUELLER: I’m not certain I agree with your characterizations.

JORDAN: I’m reading from your report. He told Papadopoulos, Papadopoulos tells the diplomat, the diplomat tells the F.B.I., the F.B.I. Opens the investigation July 21, 2016 and here we are three years later July of 2019 the country has been put through this and the central figure who launches it all, lies to us, and you guys don’t hunt him down and interview him again and you don’t charge him with a crime.

Here is the good news. Here is the good news. The president was falsely accused of conspiracy, the F.B.I. Does an 10-month investigation. James Comey told us at that point they had nothing.

You do a 22 month investigation, you find no conspiracy, and what do the Democrats want to do? Keep investigating.

They want to keep going. Maybe a better course of action, maybe a better course of action is to figure out how the false accusations started.

Maybe to go back and actually figure out why Joseph was lying to the F.B.I. Here is the good news, here is the good news.

That’s exactly what Bill Barr is doing. And thank goodness for that. What they’re doing. They’ll find out why we went through this three-year saga and get to the bottom of it.

Jim Jordan Lays The Blame Exactly Where It Belongs After Grandstanding Spectacle In Border Crisis Hearing

Rep. Jim Jordan blasted the Democrats and their hypocrisy during a House hearing on border facilities and issues related to immigrant family separations.

The Ohio Republican and Member of the House Oversight Committee unloaded on the Democrats on Thursday for “making ridiculous and dangerous statements” in a fiery speech following an outburst by Chairman Elijah Cummings while questioning Acting Homeland Security Secretary Kevin McAleenan.

Rep. Jordan accused the Dems of “choosing to play politics” with the border crisis issue, “fabricating stories of cruelty and besmirching the hard-working civil servants protecting the border.”

His remarks came after a grandstanding display by Cummings who ripped into McAleenan over reports of deplorable conditions at detention facilities at the southern border.

“You feel like you’re doing a great job, right?” Cummings asked the Acting Homeland Security Secretary.

“We’re doing our level best in a very challenging situation,” McAleenan responded, setting off the Democrat chair who exclaimed, “What does that mean?”

“What does that mean when a child is sitting in his own feces, can’t take a shower? Come on, man!” Cummings yelled. “What’s that about? None of us would have our children in that position!”

And while the left trashes President Trump regularly for his American pride, Cummings now took up the language by declaring that “we are the greatest country in the world.”

“We are the ones that can go anywhere in the world and save people…we’re better than that!” he told McAleenan.

Rep. Jordan called out the double standard of the Dems and their hypocrisy on the border issue, noting how they declared President Trump’s alarm about the crisis as “manufactured,” only to come back after the situation worsens to blame Trump and border officials.

Jim Jordan laid the blame squarely on the Democrats with a set of opening questions for Secretary McAleenan.

“Mr. Secretary, would it have helped to get the resources when you asked for them?” Rep. Jordan asked, knowing full-well the answer.

“Of course,” McAleenan answered.

“They won’t fix the asylum law,” Jordan continued. “[They] won’t fix border security wall, say it’s ‘not a crisis,’ say it’s manufactured,’ say it’s ‘contrived’ when it actually is a crisis!” Rep. Jordan said.

He went on to say the many steps that should’ve been taken to address the situation, adding “what would also help, is if folks on the left would quit saying some of the crazy things they’re saying that I think incentivize more people to come and create this crisis.”

Rep. Jim Jordan also slammed House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler for accusing Customs and Border Patrol of committing “negligent homicide” and engaging in “torture.”

“This rhetoric is wrong, it’s despicable and does nothing to fix the problem,” blasting the Democrats for “changing their tune” because the facts could no longer be ignored.

“What do Democrats do when they have to acknowledge a problem that doesn’t align with their politics? They look for someone to blame. Who else but the president of the United States and the hard-working men and women who work tirelessly every day trying to secure our border,” Rep. Jordan said.

He took aim at outrageous comments and criticisms by the Dems that only serve to demean the federal employees and “spark unnecessary outrage.”

“During the presidency of Barack Obama, we didn’t see outrage from the Democrats then,” he continued, asserting that “not one single so-called cage has been constructed by the Trump administration.”

“This is one of the greatest challenges of our time,” Rep. Jordan concluded, directing steps the Democrats must take if they are “serious” about reform. “Frankly it’s getting worse by the day.”

Rep. Jim Jordan also took to Twitter to blast the Democrats there as well:

Jim Jordan Rips Obama’s Corrupt Officials And Defends Conway During Hatch Act Hearing

This Wednesday, Rep. Jim Jordan defended President Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway during a Hatch Act hearing.

The Congressman also called out Obama’s corrupt officials who targeted conservatives for ruin and stated that the hit on Conway is “outrageous, unprecedented, unfair and just flat out wrong.”

“In the Obama Administration, Hilda Solis, Mr. Castro and Josh Earnest were all found to violate the Hatch Act, OSC didn’t recommend they be fired — for some of those people they didn’t even issue a public report,” Jim Jordan said, adding, “Americans hate unfairness and they know it when they see it. They also hate double standards.”

Congressman Jim Jordan ripped into Obama’s corrupt IRS official Lois Lerner for targeting political opponents.

“Remember just a few years ago when the IRS systematically targeted people because they had different political persuasion? Federal employees can’t do what Lois Lerner in the IRS did when they targeted Tea Party groups,” Jordan said.

The Democrat-led House Oversight Committee voted 25-16 to authorize a subpoena for Kellyanne Conway over (non existent) Hatch Act violations.

This Wednesday, Congressman Mark Meadows also called out the corrupt Obama administration during the hearing.

“[W]e have one standard for Kellyanne Conway and another standard for everybody else and so if you’re gonna subpoena people, let’s subpoena Samantha Power,” he stated. “Let’s make sure she comes in because you know what I have? I have emails on her official account where she was going after Donald Trump while she was working for our government and indeed at the same time was unmasking individuals!” Meadows said.

It appears that Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows are two of only a handful of GOP Congressmen who are fighting for conservatives and Trump supporters.

Jim Jordan Stands Up To Elijah Cummings On U.S. Census: ‘Why Don’t The Democrats Want To Know?’

This Wednesday, Rep. Jim Jordan blasted the Democrats during a House Oversight and Reform Committee hearing, asking what they were so afraid of in asking a citizenship question on the 2020 Census.

The top Republican on the House Oversight Committee slammed his Democrat colleagues for wanting to push through a hearing before the Supreme Court rules on the issue.

“Why don’t they want to know? That’s the fundamental question: why don’t the Democrats want to know how many citizens are in the country?” the Ohio Republican asked.

“Go ask any person anywhere across this country, walking down the street, walk up to them and say ‘hey, do you think on the census we should ask how many citizens are in the country – ask are you a citizen?’” Rep. Jim Jordan continued. “Every single person you will encounter will say, ‘well, yeah, of course we should ask that.’ Their next question will be, ‘aren’t we doing that already?’”

Rep. Jordan also noted that the question has been asked for many years but now the Dems don’t want to know the answer, citing the hearing and efforts by Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings to follow through on holding Attorney General Barr and Commerce Secretary Ross in contempt over documents related to a Trump administration plan to add a citizenship question to the 2020 census.

“How’d we get here today? How’d we get to the point today where we’re going to hold the Secretary of Commerce, the Attorney General of the United States in contempt because we don’t want to ask a question that everyone in the country thinks we’re already asking and, in fact, we are,” Rep. Jordan continued.

Pointing to the issue being before the Supreme Court, Rep. Jim Jordan accused the Dems of hoping to “use this committee’s oversight power to create a controversy around this issue to try to impact the Court’s decision.”

“To that end, Democrats now want to hold, as I said, both the Secretary of Commerce and the Attorney General in contempt because of an alleged lack of cooperation with the Democrats’ request for information,” the congressman said, arguing that the “facts stand in stark contrast” to their claims that they are not getting the information they requested from the federal agencies.

This Tuesday, assistant AG Stephen Boyd had threatened in a letter to Cummings that he will ask President Donald Trump to invoke executive privilege over subpoenaed documents if the House Oversight Committee went ahead with its vote.

Both Boyd and Ross argued that the committee had already been given materials by their departments and officials have provided testimony, but Cummings countered in a letter to AG Barr that though they “have produced thousands of documents, many are heavily redacted, non-responsive, or already public.”

The DOJ made “no commitments” to deliver certain documents and “no counter-offer with respect to these documents,” Cummings noted in his letter, adding that the Department’s letter “seems to make a threat.” Earlier in the hearing, he announced that the panel would reconvene later Wednesday to vote on the contempt charges, even as the President moved ahead with invoking executive privilege over all the documents the panel had subpoenaed.

Calling out the “partisan investigation,” Rep. Jim Jordan contended that Trump’s administration has produced 31,000 pages of documents on the issue as well as providing testimony from agency officials. He blasted the committee’s contention that the administration is “stonewalling” as “ridiculous” and something that “doesn’t jive with the facts.”

“Contempt of Congress is a powerful tool and it should be used responsibly,” Jordan admonished. “This is just another last-ditch attempt by Democrats to muddy the waters around the citizenship question in a desperate hope that it will influence the Supreme Court’s consideration of this issue.”

‘You’re Wrong!’ Jim Jordan Roars At Nadler – Blasts John Dean With His Own Words & Tweets

Monday’s testimonies on the Mueller report before the House Judiciary Committee was a real political theater and it did not sit well with many Republicans, including Rep. Jim Jordan.

After John Dean, a key figure in the Watergate scandal, and others got an opportunity to give their questionable opinions on Robert Mueller’s report, Congress members were given a chance to ask questions. Not surprisingly, Republicans were the only ones questioning why “commentators” with deeply held anti-Trump beliefs were being asked to testify at all.

Sparks flew when Rep. Jim Jordan got a chance at the mic and he spared no prisoners. Rep. Jordan laid down the truth and went straight at the matter.

Jordan brought up a few anti-Trump writings and opinions Dean has shared. He also brought up President Trump’s accomplishments like significant economic growth and lowest unemployment rate in 50 years.

Jim Jordan honed in on one quote from Dean where he said that President Trump is “incapable of accomplishing anything.”

“Maybe you were thinking about this when you said the president of the United States was incapable of doing anything: were you thinking about the fact that the embassy is now in Jerusalem?” asked Rep. Jordan.

The congressman then brought up the fact that the President moved the embassy to Jerusalem, which means he accomplished something that had been nothing more than an empty promise from Republican and Democrat for many years.

Dean then claimed the “rules of the House” forced him to not fully answer the question.

“You weren’t refrained in your tweets and your comments [to the media],” Jordan said.

Dean interrupted the congressman by saying his posts on Twitter are not subject to the same rules. Jordan fired back by saying that they are very relevant in determining Dean’s “state of mind.”

Rep. Jordan then took his gloves off and went after Dean hard for being more of a media personality than any sort of respectable lawyer.

Jordan asked Dean if he had advised Michael Cohen before Cohen testified. Dean replied no, but Jordan shot back that Dean had appeared on television the night before Cohen gave his testimony and actually gave advice by spelling out what he thought Cohen should do in his situation.

Jordan then brought up the fact that Cohen was not a reliable witness because he was facing a prison sentence for lying to Congress at the time of his testimony and Dean should not be trusted either because he has also pled guilty to obstructing justice. Rep. Jordan made the mistake of saying Dean “went to prison” for his actions, which Dean was quick to correct.

“I did not go to prison,” said Dean.

“Ok,” Jordan replied. “You pled guilty to obstruction of justice…you got to stay out of prison, I guess.”

Rep. Jerry Nadler predictably jumped in to protect Dean.

Nalder said that since Jordan “cast dispersions on the witness, I would remind everyone after —”

“No, I didn’t, Mr. Chairman,” Rep. Jordan stated, refusing to back down. “I read his statements. I did not cast dispersions. I read his statements.”

Nadler went on to say he “believed” Jordan cast “dispersions,” to which Jordan yelled, “you’re wrong!” The congressman then stood up for Dean’s reputation and when Jordan tried inter-cutting again, Nadler said, “the gentleman from Georgia is recognized,” clearly having enough of Dean facing real questions.

‘I Will Not Yield!’ Jim Jordan Draws The Line – Goes Off On Nadler & The Dems For Attacking AG Barr & Covering Up Spygate

Congressman Jim Jordan refused to back down to Chairman Nadler during a hearing on Wednesday and his rant over it was epic.

Congressman Jordan, a minority member of the House Judiciary Committee, went off on Democrats for holding AG Barr in contempt of Congress for following the law.

“Bill Barr is following the law and what’s his reward? Democrats gotta hold him in contempt,” said Jordan arguing that the Dems just want to destroy AG Barr because they are afraid of him after he claimed that, “spying did occur.”

“He’s [Barr] going to get to the bottom of everything — he’s going to find out how and why this investigation started in the first place.” said the Ohio lawmaker.

Chairman Nadler tried to interrupt Jordan as the Congressman pointed out that AG Barr used the term “political surveillance.”

Rep. Jordan wasn’t having it. “I will not yield!” Jordan said and continued with his tirade.

On Wednesday, President Trump asserted executive privilege over the full, unredacted version of Robert Mueller’s report and the House Dems voted to hold Attorney General Barr in contempt of Congress for refusing to give Congress the full report and underlying grand jury material.

The Judiciary Committee, controlled by the Democrats, chaired by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, held a vote on Wednesday and voted on party lines — 22 Dems to 12 Republicans.

The measure will then move to the full House for a vote later this month.

Republican Congressman Jim Jordan is correct on this. The Democrats are afraid of AG Bill Barr because unlike his predecessor, Jeff Sessions, he is about the rule of law and will not cower in the face of screeching Dems.
