VIDEO: Jeanine Pirro’s Comments About Ilhan Omar That Were ‘Strongly’ Condemned by Fox News

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro made a few comments on her Sunday show about Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar that have prompted rebukes from both the right and left, as well as her own media network.

Last week Rep. Ilhan Omar was (indirectly) reprimanded by the Democratic party for repeatedly working in anti-Semitic “dual loyalty” references about pro-Israel politicians.

On Sunday, on “Justice with Judge Jeanine,” Pirro dedicated an “Opinion” segment to addressing Omar’s history of anti-Semitic rhetoric. Stressing that anti-Israel sentiments are not a part of the Democrats platform, host Pirro suggested that a deeper loyalty than party loyalty might be at work in Rep. Omar’s case.

Omar’s decision to wear a hijab, said Pirro, might indicate her “adherence to Sharia Law,” which is “antithetical to the United States Constitution.”

“This is not who your party is,” Pirro said in the opinion segment (video below).

Your party is not anti-Israel. She is! Think about this. She’s not getting this anti-Israel sentiment doctrine from the Democrat Party. So if it’s not rooted in the party, where is she getting it from?” Pirro continued.

“Think about it: Omar wears a hijab, which, according to the Quran 33:59, tells women to cover so they won’t get molested. Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia Law — which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?” she added.

Jeanine Pirro’s comments received huge backlash from both the Left and Right. Fox News likewise came forward to condemn Pirro’s comments.

“We strongly condemn Judge Jeanine Pirro’s comments about Rep. Ilhan Omar,” Fox said in a statement the statement to Mediaite on Sunday. “They do not reflect those of the network and we have addressed the matter with her directly.”

Host Pirro has responded to the backlash with her own statement, saying that she was trying to “start a debate” and challenging Rep. Omar to come on her show.

“I’ve seen a lot of comments about my opening statement from Saturday night’s show and I did not call Rep. Omar un-American,” said Pirro. “My intention was to ask a question and start a debate, but of course because one is Muslim does not mean you don’t support the Constitution. I invite Rep. Omar to come on my show any time to discuss all of the important issues facing America today.”

Trump Gets Trashed By Leftists For Signing Bibles In Alabama

On Friday, President Donald Trump visited tornado-ravaged Lee County, Alabama, and signed a handful of Bibles to residents who had survived the horrific disaster that tore through the state on March 3.

In response, the anti-Christian bigots in the media, in Hollywood and in every other sector of America that’s littered with leftism cried foul.

On Saturday morning, MSNBC kicked off with a segment that was highly critical of President Trump’s move.

Former White House aide to President George H.W. Bush, Joe Watkins, a man who also happens to be a pastor, said that he would “not be inclined to sign someone’s holy book.” He did note that the people asking President Trump to sign their Bibles did not appear to be bothered by it.

Will Jawando, Former Obama White House aide added, “I’m of the opinion that only Jesus should be signing a Bible.”

MoveOn.org senior advisor Karine Jean-Pierre argued that the President’s move was “bizarre,” saying, “I’ve never seen that. I don’t think any of us has ever heard of a president signing a Bible.”

Politico called the move “an unusual gesture.” Here’s what they posted on Twitter, “Trump extended an unusual gesture as he sought to comfort Alabama residents devastated by a tornado there last weekend — he signed Bibles.”

Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin rained on their parade with a tweet that reminded the Trump-haters that a president signing Bibles wasn’t exactly a new phenomenon.

Malkin listed Truman, Clinton, Gore, Carter and Mondale among the former presidents, vice presidents, and candidates who had signed Bibles or Psalms books, she also posted photos.

President Trump & FLOTUS Honored The 23 Tornado Victims

This Friday, President Donald Trump and first lady Melania honored the 23 victims who were tragically killed in Alabama after tornadoes ravaged the area over the past weekend.

During the trip, President Tump and the first lady stopped by a row of crosses outside the Providence Baptist Church in Opelika set up in honor of the 23 people who were killed by the tornadoes.

The couple stood quietly together and held hands in front of each cross, the White House reported.

The report said that the President and first lady Melania walked up to one of the crosses, which were decorated with large red hearts, stuffed animals and flowers, and touched the top of them very delicately.

In many of the images of their trip, the devastation to the area is truly heartbreaking.

The couple also met privately in the church with many of the victims families, as another White House pool reported. Later, he met with volunteers and thanked them for doing an “A plus job.”

President Trump also signed Bibles and hats for volunteers and survivors, which included signing a Bible for a 12 year-old boy that drew huge applause from the crowd, the report added.

Nancy Pelosi Defends Rep Ilhan Omar:’She Has A Different Experience In The Use Of Words’

This Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has a new excuse for Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) anti-Semitism saying that Omar “has a different experience in the use of words.”

Over the past few days many pundits have stated that Nancy Pelosi, who defended Rep. Omar while speaking at the Economic Club in Washington, D.C., has appeared to lose control of the Democratic Party considering the way she has handled the situation.

“The incident that happened, I don’t think our colleague is anti-Semitic,” Pelosi said. “I think she has a different experience in the use of words, doesn’t understand that some of them are fraught with meaning that she didn’t realize.”

On Thursday, Pelosi also defended Omar during her weekly press conference.

“Do you think that Ilhan Omar understands why her comments were problematic?” a reporter asked. “And what happens if this happens again?”

“First of all, thank you for the question,” Pelosi responded. “I don’t think the congresswoman is — perhaps appreciated the full weight of how it’s heard by other people. I don’t believe it was intended in an anti-Semitic way.”

“But the fact is that’s how it was interpreted,” Pelosi continued. “We have to remove all doubt, as we have done over and over again. We’re working now on a resolution on the floor that will, again, speak out against anti-Semitism, anti-Islamophobia, anti-white supremacy and all the forms it takes, that our country has no place for this.”

“She hasn’t apologized,” the reporter pressed. “Does she need to apologize?”

“She may need to explain that she did not — It’s up to her to explain,” Pelosi responded. “But I do not believe she understood the full weight of the words. When you’re a congressman — when you are an advocate out there, as I was. I appreciate all the enthusiasm that comes into Congress. I told you that before. That was me pushing a stroller and carrying those signs. I understand how advocates come in with their enthusiasms.”

“But when you cross that threshold in the Congress, your words weigh much more than when you’re shouting at somebody outside. And I feel confident that her words were not based on any anti-Semitic attitude,” she continued. “But that she didn’t have a full appreciation of how they landed on other people where these words have a history and a cultural impact that might have been unknown to her.”

On Thursday, when Rep. Omar was pressed about whether she needed to apologize for her anti-Semitism she refused to respond.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who is known to have strong ties to anti-Semitism, also repeatedly defended Rep. Omar, saying that people were too hard on her.

“I think it’s a learning experience, and it’s part of the fact that when we elect the most diverse Democratic caucus that we have in pretty much ever, it means that we have new communities at the table, new conversations that need to be had, and we have to learn how to have conversations differently every time,” Ocasio-Cortez told CNN’s Manu Raju.

Do you think that Congresswoman Omar was unfairly singled out?” Raju asked Ocasio-Cortez.

Ocasio-Cortez responded: “You know I think that uh … I think that … you know I, I think that, that, uh, things came down on her a little too hard.”

James Woods Destroys Democrats For Their Arguing Whether To Condemn Anti-Semitism

This Thursday, actor James Woods took aim at the Democrats for their refusal to condemn the anti-Semitic rhetoric of Rep. Ilhan Omar, ripping the Democratic Party for having “soulless, vile hearts.”

Woods linked to a Fox News article that delineated how many members from the Democrat party were upset that their party might actually create a resolution condemning anti-Semitism. Woods tweeted, “Oh my God, the #Democrats literally can’t agree to condemn bigotry. Six million Jews were killed by Hitler, they are targets of Muslim terrorists constantly, and @theDemocrats can’t find it in their soulless, vile hearts to condemn anti-Semitism.”

Many indications of how the anti-Semitism in the Democratic party has bubbled to the surface were given by Fox News: “Fox News was also told one senior House Democratic lawmaker expressed concern about the influence pro-Israel interest groups have over the Democratic caucus, prompting debate about a resolution to condemn anti-Semitism in the first place.”

James Woods starred in the TV mini-series “Holocaust” in 1978; he played Karl Weiss, a Jewish artist.

Woods has been very critical of rep. Omar and the Democrats’ embrace of anti-Semitism for weeks. Back in February 11, after Rep. Steve Scalise tweeted, “Good that some Dems have condemned the disgraceful anti-Semitic remarks of Rep. Omar—but their words are empty unless Dem leaders remove her from the Foreign Affairs Committee. No one with her anti-Semitic views should be allowed to represent US foreign policy on that committee,”

Woods laid the Democrats bare, tweeting, “Naturally one expects such vile behavior from #Omar. Have you not figured out she is a mouthpiece for all the Democrats? They can pretend to be sanctimonious, but recent events have shone a light on Democrat racism and anti-Semitism as never before.”

After Omar issued an apology that was not really convincing. Woods commented, “The bullshit #BackPedal of the year…”

When Congressman Dan Crenshaw tweeted, “At some point Dems just need to accept that @IlhanMN has deeply held prejudices about the Jewish people. Stop explaining her comments away and ‘asking for dialogue.’ It’s clear an apology from her is hollow. And she has a platform on the Foreign Affairs Committee? Really?”, Woods commented.

“They push narratives until people are simply too exhausted to fight back. That is how we went from 9/11 to this unabashed Muslim anti-Semite in less than two decades. @DanCrenshawTX.”

After former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke also posted a tweet sharing his enthusiasm for Omar, Woods stated simply, “Of course. They both hate Jews.”

And here’s what James Woods understands that the Democrats simply refuse to acknowledge: After the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh last October, in which 11 Jews were brutally shot and murdered by an anti-Semite, Woods tweeted, “Throughout history attacks on Jews have signaled a seismic shift in the hate spectrum. #AntiSemitism has traditionally been the most vile of all bigotry, thrusting its tendrils into the darkest depths of the human experience, the hatred of a religion.”

Lindsey Graham Justifies Trump’s National Emergency:’I Stand With The President’

This Wednesday, Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham made a point-by-point case for President Trump’s declared national emergency during his appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

Fox News host Sean Hannity introduced the topic by noting that Senator Graham has “been in the forefront trying to urge [his] Senate colleagues that this is a national emergency.”

“Well, what did we learn today?” began Senator Graham, in reference to a Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen’s remarks before Congress about the sharp rise in border arrests.

“We had the border patrol commissioner and DHS Secretary Neilsen testify that family apprehensions have gone up 335 percent. Unaccompanied minor apprehensions have gone up 55 percent compared to last year. That if you’re a family from central America and you can make it to the United States, you will never be deported. You can be only held for 20 days and we release you within the country. Two percent of the unaccompanied minors who make it to America go back to their home country.” he continued.

“Our laws are broken and we need a barrier,” added Graham. “The most stunning testimony was a man who has been dealing in sex trafficking—a law enforcement official—and he said that most children brought into America come across the open area of the border because the smugglers are afraid to go through the points of entry. Eighty-seven percent of the people apprehended coming here illegally from Central America never go through a point of entry. We need barriers and we need to change our laws.”

“Trump wins,” Graham said, in response to host Hannity’s assertion that the Senate would not have enough votes to override a presidential veto. “That’s the conclusion here. We’ll sustain his veto.”

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham ended the segment by documenting the cost of unaccompanied minors coming to the United States.

“It costs us $375 a day to house these minors,” he stated. “They go through hell to get here. And on average we’re spending $136,000 per kid from the Treasury. This is a crisis. $1.6 billion going to be spent.”

The South Carolina senator promised to pursue changes to the law that only allows immigrants to be held not longer than 20 days.

“If we don’t stop that, they will always keep coming,” he said, ending with a strong, “I stand with the President.”

Dan Crenshaw Responds To Ocasio-Cortez’s Criticism Of ICE:’Enforcing The Law Is Not Racist’

This Wednesday, Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw bashed Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for her statement about ICE and her defense of Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar during his interview with Martha MacCallum.

Ocasio-Cortez railed against her fellow Democrat representatives who were critical of Ilhan Omar for comments that many have considered anti-Semitic, in a Twitter thread Wednesday morning.

Ocasio-Cortez went as far as to accuse members of her own Democratic party of engaging in racist tropes by voting for an amendment that supports United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“With regards to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, she said this in a tweet about the concern she says about implied tropes. She sort of is making the bridge between what Omar is talking about and people who are concerned about these anti-Semitic tropes as they are sometimes called,” MacCallum stated.

She then read the tweet posted by Ocasio-Cortez: “If we’re so concerned about implied tropes, why aren’t we concerned about this one? Where was the concern last week when 26 Dems voted for a GOP amendment to expand ICE powers rooted in the racist + false trope that Latino immigrants are more dangerous than US born citizens?” posted Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter.

“There is a lot there. Even if she actually believes what she is saying, that has nothing to do with condemning anti-Semitism, right? Two things can be true at once, okay. Even if she believes this craziness,” Crenshaw answered.

He continued, “The reality is that enforcing the law is not racist, okay? Asking ICE to report when an illegal immigrant is trying to buy a weapon is not racist. That’s just enforcing our laws and I think most Americans want us to enforce our laws.”

“We want to feel like our rule of law is working out, that we’re are a sovereign country we can connect and protect our borders.” he added.

Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, who favors abolishing ICE, was targeting the 26 House Democrats who voted in favor of a Republican amendment to a gun control bill that would alert ICE when an illegal immigrant attempts to purchase a firearm.

She also stated that the premise of a proposed wall at the border with Mexico is based on pure racism.

Democratic Representative Wants To Lower Federal Voting Age From 18 To 16

This Tuesday, Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley introduced legislation to lower the federal voting age from 18 to 16.

Ayanna Pressley cited teen activists pushing for gun control as one of the reasons for giving 16-year-olds the right to vote, which she compared to having a driver’s license.

“Young people are at the forefront of some of our most existential crises,” Pressley added. “The time has come. Our young people deserve to have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.”

Two other Democratic congresswomen also offered their support for Pressley’s legislation, Michigan Rep. Rashida Tlaib and New York Rep. Grace Meng.

“I’m committed to making sure we empower young people to build our future together. Giving them the power to vote will help build a more equitable and just future,” Meng said in a statement posted to Twitter on Tuesday.

Rashida Tlaib posted a tweet showing her support for Pressley’s amendment on Wednesday.

Pressley proposed the change as an amendment to House Democrats’ “For The People Act,” which would amend campaign finance laws.

The left-wing American Civil Liberties Union has already come out against the proposed bill, citing “provisions that unconstitutionally impinge on the free speech rights of American citizens and public interest organizations.”

“They will have the effect of harming our public discourse by silencing necessary voices that would otherwise speak out about the public issues of the day,” the ACLU said in a letter to the House Rules Committee.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Unloads On Democrats Over Investigation:’It’s An Absolute Embarrassment’

This Wednesday morning, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders renewed the administration’s rebuke of Congressional investigations in an interview on Fox & Friends.

“It is an absolute embarrassment members of Congress are using all their time and resources into attacking the president when they should look to try to solve problems this country has like the president is doing,” Sanders said nearly right out the gate, as she added that this “expedition that you’re seeing led by chairman Nadler is truly an embarrassment to Congress and it is hurting our country.”

Sarah Sander’s invective came after a night of harried tweeting from President Trump, whose public rhetoric has been focused on disparaging the congressional probe.

The President quoted former FEC Commissioner Hans von Spakovsky’s appearance on the Fox News Channel, saying: “Hans Von Spakovsky, ‘I haven’t seen any evidence of actual violations of the law, which is usually a basis before you start an investigation. Adam Schiff seems to be copying Joseph McCarthy in wanting to open up investigations when they don’t have any evidence of wrongdoing.'”

On Monday, House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler revealed that he is opening an investigation “into the alleged obstruction of justice, public corruption, and other abuses of power by President Trump, his associates, and members of his Administration.”

The House Judiciary Committee explained that “as a first step, the Committee has served document requests to 81 agencies, entities, and individuals believed to have information relevant to the investigation,” specifically spanning administration officials, entities connected to the Trump 2016 campaign, even including the FBI.

The list of parties from which Jerry Nadler requested documents indicates that he is launching a broad-based inquiry, ranging from the $130,000 payment to a porn star alleging an affair with President Trump to the president’s conduct in the FBI’s Russia investigation.

The President previewed a possible strategy for dealing with the requests saying, “President Obama, from what they tell me, was under a similar kind of a thing, didn’t get one letter. They didn’t do anything. They didn’t get one letter of the request, many requests were made, they didn’t get a letter.”

The president is likely citing Obama’s invocation of executive privilege in 2012.

Crisis at South Border at ‘Breaking Point’ After Unauthorized Immigrant Entries Hit 12-Year High

The situation at our border with Mexico has reached a “breaking point” as immigrants coming into the U.S. illegally hit a 12-year high in February.

Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stated that the number of immigrants trying to cross at the U.S.-Mexico border illegally reached a high since 2007, with 76,103 total apprehensions.

Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen M. Nielsen slammed the policies and politics surrounding open borders as the reason the American people are being “failed.”

“Our broken system endures, and the ongoing humanitarian and security crisis at our Southwest Border leaves many minors and families at extreme risk of being exploited by traffickers, human smugglers, gangs, and other nefarious actors seeking to profit at their expense. Activist courts, congressional inaction, and criminals intent on breaking our laws stand in the way of confronting illegal and uncontrolled migration threatening our safety and security.” she stated.

“What was a crisis, is now a full-fledged emergency,” Nielsen said, adding, “This cannot be a partisan issue.”

Nielsen suggested the law enforcement at the southern border is demanding the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, for laws to be strengthened, and for the proper tools and resources.

The rise of apprehensions at the southern border more than doubled in February from the following year, jumping from 36,751 apprehensions in February 2018 to 76,103 in February 2019.

Photo provided by the DHS

The DHS reported that immigration at the border with Mexico also saw a spike in the number of groups trying to cross illegally into the United States with 70 large groups of more than 100 individuals attempting to cross in the fiscal year 2019, compared to 13 large groups the previous year.

Check out the statistics provided by the DHS below:

  • In the fiscal year 2018, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made more than 1,500 human trafficking arrests – 97 percent of them for sex-trafficking.
  • Last year, ICE officers removed more than 10,000 known or suspected gang members already in our country illegally.
  • In the last two years alone, ICE officers have arrested 266,000 aliens with criminal records including those convicted of nearly 100,000 assaults, 30,000 sex crimes, and 4,000 homicides.
  • 20,000 children were illegally smuggled into the U.S. during December 2018, alone.

The 12-year high comes at a time when President Trump is pushing for a national emergency declaration on the border with Mexico in hopes of receiving more funding to construct physical barriers.

Unfortunatelly, he is being hit with criticism from leaders in both the Democrat and Republican Party as many seek to block his emergency declaration.
