Rep. Engel Announce Resolution Holding Mike Pompeo In Contempt

Friday the House Foreign Affairs Committee stated that Chairman Rep Eliot Engel announces that the Committee will begin work on a resolution holding Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in contempt.

The group writes “The Secretary’s ongoing defiance of two duly authorized subpoenas has left the Committee no further option.”

Rep. Engel is a lame duck member of Congress after losing the primary to progressive challenger Jamaal Bowman.

Engel said in a statement: “The Secretary’s ongoing defiance of two duly authorized subpoenas on matters directly linked to American foreign policy toward Ukraine has left the Committee no further option but to begin drafting a resolution finding Secretary Pompeo in contempt of Congress.”

“He seems to think the office he holds, the Department he runs, the personnel he oversees, and the taxpayer dollars that pay for all of it are there for his personal and political benefit.”

Engel also tweeted “Once again, the rules go out the window for @SecPompeo when they get in the way of serving his political interests and Donald Trump.”

He added in a follow-up tweet “He should show real respect for American law, diplomacy, and diplomats, and should follow his own guidance, cancel the speech, and watch the RNC from his hotel room after the workday is done.”

Wallace Trashes Trump’s Speech As “Boring” & Shames The Audience For No Masks Or Social Distancing

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace was impressed by the amazing fireworks display over the National Mall but also said that President Trump’s speech at the Republican National Convention lacked figurative fireworks.

Wallace said that President Trump’s acceptance speech was too boring. The 70-minute speech, he said, felt more like a State of the Union address than a speech that was designed to inspire voters.

“There certainly were impressive fireworks on the Mall. But I have to say, I was surprised at the lack of fireworks in the president’s speech tonight. First of all, it was far too long. Seventy minutes exactly. And I thought at times it felt more like a State of the Union speech, like a campaign speech,” Wallace said.

“The president went through all of his accomplishments during his first term, and they are a great number, and they are considerable. And then, as you say, he went after Joe Biden, and he had good lines … “

“I have to say in his delivery, again, I thought the president, who we have seen really turn on a crowd, was surprisingly flat, and he didn’t seem to have the bite that he usually does have in his speeches,” he added.

Wallace questioned the Trump campaign’s decision to host a large crowd in close proximity during the pandemic.

He said that the packed South Lawn of the White House could distract from the policy goals detailed in Trump’s speech.

“The fact that there were 2,000 people in close quarters on the South Lawn there with no — seemingly, very few of them with masks — no social distancing, ignoring all of the public health recommendations. I suspect that is going to get a lot of comment in the next few days,” he said.

Chris Wallace praised Joe Biden’s speech to the Democratic National Convention last week.

Michelle Obama Says: White People Pet My Dog, But Totally Ignored Me As FLOTUS — Gets Torched On Social Media

Michelle Obama is once again knocking white Americans. Obama claimed that while she was walking her dog around the White House, white people would pet her dog but totally ignored her. “That is so telling of how white America views people who are not like them, like we don’t exist,” Michelle lamented. Well, that’s when poor Michelle got torched by Americans who are sick and tired of her playing the victim card.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama criticized white Americans in her latest edition of The Michelle Obama Podcast, stating that she was treated like she didn’t exist during the presidency of her husband Barack.

“When I’ve been completely incognito during the eight years in the White House, walking the dogs on the canal, people will come up and pet my dogs, but will not look me in the eye. They don’t know it’s me,” she said.

Obama added later: “That is so telling of how white America views people who are not like them, like we don’t exist. And when we do exist, we exist as a threat. And that’s exhausting.”

“For so many of us, our friendships have been absolutely critical in helping us get through our toughest days and celebrate our highest highs. And this week on the #MichelleObamaPodcast, I’m talking to a few of my girlfriends: Sharon Malone, Denielle Pemberton-Heard, and Kelly Dibble. Our conversation is a pretty good window into what I love about these ladies. We can reminisce, laugh at each other’s stories, and most of all, we can talk about what’s going on in the world or in our own lives.”

“And with everything that’s been going on over these past few months, it’s been especially crucial for us as women of color to have friends to lean on—a group we can sort through it all together. But to me, this episode isn’t just about my friendships. It’s about yours. It’s about the old friend from school who’s been a confidante for every crucial moment of your life. It’s about the girls who cheered you on during the good times or gave you a shoulder to lean on when times were tough. It’s about the people who know you and support you like no one else. I hope that after listening to this episode, you’ll reach out to them and let them know how much they mean to you. Click the link in my bio to hear this week’s episode with my girlfriends,” the former first lady posted on Instagram.

During another part of the podcast, Obama recounted how she, daughters Sasha and Malia, and their friend Denielle Pemberton-Heard went for ice cream.

“We had just finished taking the girls to a soccer game. We were stopping to get ice cream and I had told the Secret Service to stand back, because we were trying to be normal, trying to go in,” Obama recalled.

“There was a line, and… when I’m just a black woman, I notice that white people don’t even see me. They’re not even looking at me.”

“So I’m standing there with two little black girls, another black female adult, they’re in soccer uniforms, and a white woman cuts right in front of us to order. Like, she didn’t even see us,” the former first lady continued.

“The girl behind the counter almost took her order. And I had to stand up ’cause I know Denielle was like, ‘Well, I’m not gonna cause a scene with Michelle Obama.’ So I stepped up and I said, ‘Excuse me? You don’t see us four people standing right here? You just jumped in line?’”

“She didn’t apologize, she never looked me in my eye, she didn’t know it was me,” Michelle added. “All she saw was a black person, or a group of black people, or maybe she didn’t even see that. Because we were that invisible.”

Maybe the former first lady doesn’t realize that white people cut in front of white people all the time. This isn’t about race, as much it is about manners.

That’s why Americans torched her on social media.

“The problem here is, I as an old white guy I can testify, these things happen to ordinary people. She maybe needs to get out more,” tweeted Don Ukens.

“We Are a Nation Of Laws” – Leo Terrell Goes Loose on Geraldo Rivera For Defending “Fragile” SJW Sports Figures

Civil rights attorney Leo Terrell and Fox News’ Geraldo Rivera had a heated debate when they locked horns over the shooting of Jacob Blake and the “disingenuous” pro-athletes staging boycotts to protest.

A discussion on “Bill Hemmer Reports” over the decision this week by NBA players to protest the police shooting of Blake in Wisconsin quickly went off the rails as Terrell and Rivera sparred over the boycotts as related to racism and law enforcement as well as the shooting incident itself.

“The video of Jacob Blake getting shot in the back seven times by the cop at point-blank range, that was something that every black man in this country I fear related to,” Rivera began on Thursday.

“Those players looked at that and said, what happens when I drive home from a game and I see the blue lights behind me… and the cop comes up to me, and what if he’s in a bad mood, had bad training, and he thinks, I’m reaching for my license, I’m reaching for something else and I get shot also?” the Fox News correspondent-at-large added.

Rivera said that there is a “fragility” about the sports figures deciding to speak out. Teams in the NBA’s Orlando bubble remained in their locker rooms to protest the shooting of Blake, a black man who was shot by a Kenosha police officer multiple times on Sunday.

“These players are not being spoiled brats, they are responding in a visceral way. Almost everybody wants social justice, absolutely everybody wants law and order. The response of the rioters and the looters to the shooting is one thing, but what LeBron James and Doc Rivers, the Clippers coach, this pain that they are expressing, that’s for real and we’ve got to deal with that. The president should address it,” Rivera said.

Terrell could be seen shaking his head in disagreement at Rivera’s remarks as Fox News anchor Bill Hemmer turned to get his view on whether it would be a productive “means to an end” for the NBA to cancel its playoffs as a show of solidarity with the protests.

“First of all Geraldo, respectfully, every black man doesn’t feel like they’re being chased by the police,” Terrell said in rebuttal to Rivera. “Tim Scott, Senator from South Carolina, 18 stops by police. This man does not look at the police officers as bogeyman. I think it would be wrong — ”

“He got stopped 18 times by the cops, Leo?” Rivera interrupted.

“He got stopped over 18 times. Sen. Tim Scott he’s been stopped numerous times, Geraldo,” Terrell replied, reiterating the comments by GOP senator at the RNC on Monday when he said he still respects police even though he has been stopped by them 18 times in 20 years.

“That’s my point!” Rivera exclaimed as he threw his arms in the air.

“No, you’re missing the point,” Terrell shot back.

“Black people do not have a racial animus towards police officers. Why, because they are black police officers, there’s white, there’s brown, there’s yellow. Geraldo, this is not 1950. These black players, Bill and Geraldo, are rich multimillionaires who are surrounded by private police protection,” he contended.

“I find it disingenuous for them to make a determination about this situation before all the facts are in,” Terrell said. “This is not George Floyd. They use it as a pretext.”

“Did you see the video? The guy got shot seven times in the back,” Rivera angrily retorted. “Come on!”

“I saw the video,” Terrell responded. “I’ve been doing police misconduct for years. You wait until all the facts are in. Shame on you, you’re a lawyer.”

“When you’re reacting viscerally, when you’re reacting viscerally, you’re not waiting for the grand jury, you see what you see,” Rivera interjected as Terrell disagreed.

“We are a nation of laws!” Terrell repeated as Rivera argued, “We’re not a nation of rogue cops!”

Hemmer finally interrupted to bring the fiery clash to an end, going on to discuss rioting in Wisconsin this week and the responses from Democrats.

“Get Off Our Lawn” – Democrats Trash Trump With Anger In Reaction To His RNC Speech

On Thursday night, the Democrats reacted to President DOnald Trump’s RNC Speech with anger and disgust, trashing the President in avery way they can.

“Get off our lawn” tweeted Senator Amy Klobuchar.

Pete Buttigieg wrote “The words “law and order” do not belong on the lips of a president whose orbit accounts for a record number of indictments, guilty pleas, and convictions.”

Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano claimed “Suburban moms are terrified of Trump.”

“They are afraid of:
-their parents social security being taken away
-dying of covid
-their bodily autonomy being stripped from them
-their children dying in school
-losing their homes
-being in debt,”
Milano listed.

Claire McCaskill tweeted “My blood is boiling over political banners at the White House. Awful. Just awful.”

Ilhan Omar wrote “Many of Trump’s associates have been convicted of felonies, his supporters have killed people, incited terror and inspired militias. He isn’t for abiding the law or respecting order.”

“He is for power and control, just like the dictators he loves to praise,” Rep. Omar added.

Chris Wallace Calls Trump’s RNC Speech “Surprisingly Flat” & Trashes It As “Far Too Long”

After President Trump’s RNC Speech, Fox News Host Chris Wallace gave a lukewarm review.

Wallace credited President Trump with “some good lines” but then criticized his delivery.

“I have to say …. his delivery — and we have seen the president turn on a crowd — was surprisingly flat and it didn’t seem to have the bite that he usually does have in his speeches.” Wallace said.

Chris Wallace later also said that the speech was “far too long.” as well.

Ironically, Jake Tapper and Dana Bash of CNN had some good things to say about President Trump’s speech.

“There has been a completely filtered President Trump,” says CNN’s Jake Tapper of the Republican National Convention.

“That is the Trump that White House officials and campaign officials wish they had all the time, one who is not sending tweets that upset people.”

Dana Bash agreed saying that President Trump was “disciplined” and “he’s doing what he has to do.”

MLB Champion Praises 17-Year-Old Who Shot Rioters As “National Treasure” – Gets Mixed Reactions On Social Media

Two-time World Series champion Aubrey Huff praised the 17-year-old who was charged with killing two people during a riot in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

“#KyleRittenhouse is a national treasure,” Huff tweeted on Wednesday night in a post referring to 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse was arrested and charged with murder after allegedly shooting three people, two fatally, following altercations during a riot over the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Huff’s post was liked and retweeted thousands of times before being deleted Thursday morning following mixed reactions of both support and disgust.

While many Twitter users slammed the former slugger as being racist, several prominent conservatives echoed similar sentiments.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson argued that Americans shouldn’t be surprised Rittenhouse attempted to “maintain order” after local officials declined to “enforce the law” and “watched Kenosha burn.”

“People in charge, from the governor of Wisconsin on down, refused to enforce the law,” Carlson added. “They stood back and watched Kenosha burn. So are we really surprised looting and arson accelerated to murder? How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would?”

Others argued that the many viral videos of the incidents show that the teenager was acting in self-defense.

“Have we seen any video of Kyle Rittenhouse than shows anything other than self-defense?” columnist Matt Walsh of Daily Wire tweeted.

Others, primarily on the Left, dismissed the idea that Rittenhouse had the right to defend himself from being attacked because he was wrong to have traveled from Illinois to be there in the first place.

“Anyone defending Kyle Rittenhouse by saying it’s self-defense to go into middle of protest with a weapon & start shooting be careful about your standard,” political commentator Cenk Uygur tweeted. “Is the left-wing also allowed to do that? Walk into a Bundy protest with weapons and start shooting & claim self-defense?”

Rittenhouse is currently being held without bond in Lake County, Illinois, and is due back in court Friday for an extradition hearing for the shooting in Wisconsin.

Nancy Pelosi On Trump-Biden Presidential Debates: “I Don’t Think There Should Be Any”

On Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that she does not think 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden should participate in any of the scheduled debates against President Trump.

In a press conference, Pelosi was asked about the presidential debates, to which she said she does not think Biden should take Trump seriously.

“I don’t think there should be any debates,” Pelosi said. “I wouldn’t legitimize a conversation with him, nor a debate in terms of the presidency of the United States.”

After Pelosi’s comments, the Biden campaign released a statement saying: “We certainly agree with Speaker Pelosi on her views of the President’s behavior. But just as she has powerfully confronted that behavior in the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room, Joe Biden looks forward to doing the same on the debate stage.”

Republican National Committee (RNC) Rapid Response Director Steve Guest also reacted to Pelosi’s comments saying, “The Democrat establishment is trying to get Joe Biden out of debating President Trump. If Joe Biden can’t debate, he has no business running for President.”

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel then said: “First it was The New York Times. Now it’s the country’s highest-ranking Democrat. Democrats are terrified of letting Joe Biden out of the basement. If Biden cannot debate, he has no business being President!!”

Trump said Wednesday that he will call for drug tests before debating Biden before their first scheduled debate on Sept. 29.

The President thinks Biden’s performances improved over the course of the Democratic primary and hinted that he believes the reason behind Biden’s success was related to drugs, he said during an interview with The Washington Examiner.

“Nobody thought that he was even going to win,” Trump said. “Because his debate performances were so bad. Frankly, his best performance was against Bernie. We’re going to call for a drug test, by the way, because his best performance was against Bernie. It wasn’t that he was Winston Churchill, because he wasn’t, but it was a normal, boring debate. You know, nothing amazing happened. And we are going to call for a drug test, because there’s no way — you can’t do that.”

Scarborough Calls Melania “Shameless” & Trashes Her For Not Criticizing Trump When He Attacked His Wife Mika

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough called First Lady Melania Trump “absolutely shameless” and the RNC an “alternative reality” in a post-event critique.

Scarborough got personal and blamed the First Lady for not criticizing her husband when President Trump attacked him and his wife Mika.

“Of course, never heard her criticize her own husband when he said that Mika was bleeding badly from a facelift or when I was a murderer” Scarborough said.

“…Or when a woman who had passed away tragically 19 years ago, her husband was begging Donald Trump to stop being so hateful and causing their family extraordinary pain, begging him to stop and he just continued, over and over again, causing pain for that family.”

Scarborough continued: “So I guess she’s fine with Donald Trump savaging other people every day, causing immeasurable pain, being the most extraordinarily hateful, malevolent force in American politics on a personal level in his constant daily attacks, but she’s going to stand up and lecture? About gossip?”

“She’s inside the house, going to lecture about gossip? And she’s going to lecture about the meanness of social media? I mean, seriously.”

CNN Hosts Jacob Blake’s Mother, Then She Annihilates The Entire Liberal Narrative

Jacob Blake’s mother appeared on CNN and denounced the rioting in her son’s name, and apologized to President Donald Trump.

“My family and I are very hurt and quite frankly disgusted. And as his mother, please don’t burn up property and cause havoc and tear your own homes down in my son’s name.”

“You shouldn’t do it. People shouldn’t do it anyway, but to use my child or any other mother or father’s child — our tragedy — to react in that manner is just not acceptable,” Blake’s mother, Julia Jackson, said.

Jackson also discussed the fact that a member of her family trashed President Trump over the incident. She apologized to the president for their conduct, and also apologized for missing President Trump’s phone call.

“For our president, Trump: First I want to say a family member and I don’t know if it was heard or not said something that was not kind. She is hurting and I do apologize for that.

“Our outburst does not reflect our behavior. And then also, for President Trump: I’m sorry I missed your call because had I not missed your call, maybe the comments that you made would have been different… I’m not mad at you at all. I have the utmost respect for you as the leader of our country,” Jackson said.

Riots erupted after Jacob Blake was shot by the Police. Businesses have been looted and burned to the ground. A used-car lot was set on fire. Kenosha, Wisconsin is beginning to look like a war zone.
