Over 30 Former Romney Staffers Are Uniting Behind Effort To Elect Joe Biden For President

Over 30 former staffers of Senator Mitt Romney are uniting behind an effort to elect Joe Biden for President.

Ironically, Joe Biden was once their opponent in 2012 when he was Obama’s Vice President.

The group, that goes by “Romney Alumni for Biden” has a website where they write in a statement “Collectively, we represent nearly every sector of Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign: finance, operations, field, policy, digital, IT, scheduling, events, communications, advance, and more.”

“Some of us are longtime political operatives, others worked only on the 2012 race, motivated by a man we believed uniquely qualified to be our 45th commander-in-chief.”

“When our efforts came up short, we grieved but we never feared for our republic in the way we do today.”

Explaining their opposition to President Donald Trump they add “What unites us now is a deep conviction that four more years of a Trump presidency will morally bankrupt this country, irreparably damage our democracy, and permanently transform the Republican Party into a toxic personality cult.”

The group concludes “Spending time with Sen. Romney on the campaign trail, from small town stops to massive rallies, in minivans and mega buses, we saw a thoughtful and compassionate man rooted in humility, service, and devotion to his family and fellow citizens.”

“We know Mitt and Joe share those same essential, presidential traits—traits that make Vice President Biden the clear choice to lead the United States through this perilous, uncertain time.”

Members who signed the statement include Vickie Blanton, Director of Scheduling, Erin Bradley – Director, Office of Ann Romney, Brittany Ladd – Director of Advance, Office of Ann Romney and Kristy Campbell – Deputy Communications Director.

Don Lemon Spills The Beans: Riots Have To Stop Now Because It’s “Showing In The Polling & Focus Groups”

CNN’s Chris Cuomo and Don Lemon finally spoke out against the rioting that continues in some U.S. cities but not for the reasons many Americans condemn the violence.

Lemon accidentally said the quiet part out loud when he lamented how ongoing leftist riots need to stop because they are hurting the Democrats in the polls.

Criticizing riots not for damage to human lives and property, but for the toll they are taking on the Democratic Party, the CNN host called on Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden to address the unrest, warning that the issue is a “blind spot” for the party.

“You have COVID and Kenosha, Don, and what’s happening in Wisconsin, it’s a Rorschach test for where this country is, and I think it probably represents the biggest threat to the Democratic cause,” Cuomo said.

“You took the words right out of my mouth,” Lemon agreed.

“When you said it’s too little too late, I don’t know about that. I mean, we still have a lot of time left until election day. I do think that this —what you said was happening in Kenosha is a Rorschach test for the entire country. I think this is a blind spot for Democrats. I think Democrats are hoping this will go away, and it’s not going to go away,” Lemon added, referring specifically to the now-deadly riots in Kenosha.

“I think maybe Joe Biden may be afraid to do it. I’m not sure. Maybe he won’t, maybe he is. He’s got to address it,” Lemon continued, adding that Biden has to make it seem like President Trump is somehow responsible.

“He’s got to come out and talk about it. He’s got to do a speech like Barack Obama did about race. He’s got to come out and tell people that he’s going to deal with the issue of police reform in this country, and that what’s happening now is happening under Donald Trump’s watch,” he said.

“When he is the president, Kamala Harris is the vice president. Then they will take care of this problem,” he added before he spilled the beans. “But guess what? The rioting has to stop. Chris, as you know, and I know it’s showing up in the polling, it’s showing up in focus groups. It is the only thing right now that is sticking.”

Hundreds of rioters again defied a curfew in Kenosha on Tuesday as another night of violence erupted following the shooting of Jacob Blake on Sunday. Multiple fires, looting and vandalism unfolded in the Wisconsin city and turned deadly as a shooting incident killed two people and wounded a third.

Meghan McCain noted Lemon’s comments in a video posted on Twitter, saying his warning was “accurate.”

“Everything @donlemon said here is accurate. This is the one issue that could really turn the election against Biden and is showing up in the polling — all leaders have to come out forcefully and unequivocally against violence and looting,” the co-host of “The View” tweeted.

“Don Lemon says riots have to stop explicitly bc of their political impact–not bc of what they mean for having a functioning society, the criticality of the rule of law, and the impact on the lives of Americans. That is, he cares about it costing Dems the election, nothing more,” columnist Benjamin Weingarten tweeted.

Other social media users also noticed the moment on CNN where, during a live report from Kenosha, the word “violent” was quickly scrubbed from an on-screen graphic.

Dem Mayor Will Vote For Trump Because “Radical” Left Abandoned Working Americans

Democratic mayor of Eveleth, Minnesota, has endorsed President Donald Trump for reelection.

In a speech on the 2nd night of the Republican National Convention, Robert Vlaisavljevich endorsed President Trump, saying that Democratic nominee Joe Biden is “too weak, too scared, and too sleepy to stand up to the radical Left.”

The mayor issued a strong condemnation of the Green New Deal, calling the proposed set of environmental and economic changes a “job-killing disgrace, dreamt up by people who don’t live in the real world.”

“The radical environmental movement has dragged the Democratic Party so far to the left, they can no longer claim to be advocates of the working man,” he said during his speech.

The Green New Deal, backed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, calls for “net-zero greenhouse gas emissions” by 2030, a job for anyone who wants to work, a sweeping program to make every residential and industrial building in the United States energy efficient, and universal healthcare.

Experts claim that the program could cost between $51 trillion and $93 trillion over 10 years. For comparison, total government spending through 2029 is estimated to be less than $60 trillion.

Vlaisavljevich, mayor of Eveleth, a small town in the Iron Range of northwest Minnesota, citing his support for Trump’s economic and trade policies, argued that the president was to thank for the town’s improving economy.

“I am happy to say that after decades of despair, the Iron Range is roaring back to life, and we have one man to thank: President Donald Trump. He made good his promises by cutting our taxes, rolling back senseless regulations, and delivering trade deals that put America’s interests first.”

The mayor backed President Trump in 2016, when he expressed his dismay with “wealthy trust-fund babies” in Minnesota’s Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party telling him how to vote.

At the time, the unemployment rate in St. Louis County, Minnesota, where Eveleth is located, was at 9% — double Minnesota’s 4% statewide unemployment rate. In January 2020, the unemployment rate in the county was 4.5%, while the statewide rate was 3.2%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Activist Jon Ponder Tears Up After President Trump Pardons Him At RNC

Convicted bank robber who turned his life around, Jon Ponder, teared up as President Trump pardoned him during the RNC. “So now I’d like to invite Jon’s wife, Jamie, to join us as I grant John a full pardon,” President Trump said.

“So I don’t know if you know that, Jamie. Come on over here. You have done incredible work,” Trump added.

The President then explained as he prepared the formal pardon “Since being released from prison on a bank robbery conviction, Ponder has worked to help other former prisoners in the Las Vegas area to successfully reintegrate into American society.”

“Two years ago I was honored to tell Jon Ponder’s story in the Rose Garden on the National Day of Prayer.” Trump said.

“Today I’m thrilled to welcome him back to the White House. Jon’s life is a beautiful testament to the power of redemption.”

Trump continued “Jon dedicated his life to Christ. He spent the rest of his time in prison studying the Bible.” In the last 10 years since Jon was released, he’s created one of the most successful reentry programs, Hope for Prisoners, in Las Vegas. I was glad to speak there earlier this year.”

“Jon, we honor your devotion to showing returning citizens that they are not forgotten. We believe that each person is made by God for a purpose. I will continue to give all Americans including former inmates the best chance to build a new life and achieve their own American Dream. My hope for America is that former incarcerated people will be afforded the opportunity to take advantage of the fact that we live in a nation of second chances.” Trump concluded.

An emotional Ponder responded “My hope for America is that law enforcement and people in the communities across our country can come together and realize that, as Americans, we have more in common then we have differences,” Ponder said in response.

Bette Midler Trashes Melania For Her RNC Speech: “Get That Illegal Alien Off The Stage!”

First Lady Melania, who rarely makes public speeches, was one of the few speakers at the Republican National Convention.

Mrs. Trump’s address, delivered from the newly renovated White House Rose Garden, sounded very authentic, written without the hidden hand of professional speechwriters.

“Every word” of the address, Mrs. Trump’s chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, said, “is from her.”

Speaking directly to Americans who had lost a loved one to the virus, Mrs. Trump told them, “you are not alone.” She acknowledged that “the invisible enemy swept across our beautiful country and impacted all of us.”

But not everyone was happy to see the First Lady giving hope to the American people in time of need.

During First Lady Melania’s speech, performer Bette Midler tweeted a serious of highly offensive remarks.

Midler attacked first lady Melania’s accent and said “Get that illegal alien off the stage!”

Many conservatives on social media found Midler’s line of attack xenophobic and distasteful. They didn’t wait long to blast her for it.

Kennedy wrote “Who knew xenophobia was the wind beneath your wings!”

“Ladies and gentlemen. @BetteMidler continues to bring down women and show how racist she truly is,” said another tweet.

“I Was Shot Because Of This” – GOP Reps Outraged Of Pelosi’s Rhetoric Calling Them “Domestic Enemies”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi drew widespread condemnation on Monday after calling President Trump and Republicans who support him “domestic enemies.”

A video posted by House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, features Pelosi in an interview with MSNBC making the scandalous remark after repeating the Democrat conspiracy theory that the president is attempting to ‘sabotage’ the U.S. Postal Service so he can thwart mail-in balloting in November.

“We take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic,” Pelosi said.

“And sadly, the domestic enemies to our voting system and our honoring our Constitution,” she continued adding “right at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue with their allies in the Congress of the United States.”

She got no pushback from MSNBC.

An incredulous Scalise wrote: Disgusting: Nancy Pelosi just called Republicans ‘domestic enemies.’ I was shot because of this kind of unhinged rhetoric. Where’s the media outrage?”

Scalise was nearly assassinated by a Left-wing, rifle-toting supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders at a northern Virginia baseball field in June 2017.

Other Republicans didn’t wait long to also blast Pelosi.

“I served on the mission to capture Saddam Hussein. @SpeakerPelosi, I know what an enemy of the state is. Do you?” Rep. Mark Green of Tennessee clapped back.

“Wow. The Speaker of the House of Representatives just called the President of the United States and Republicans in Congress ‘domestic enemies… enemies of the state.’ Her words are beneath the office of Speaker and she should resign immediately,” added Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia.

Democrats have been pushing the conspiracy that President Trump and Republicans generally are starving the Postal Service of funds to ensure that ballots are delayed and thus disqualified in November.

A record number of Americans are expected to vote by mail due to concerns over the lingering COVID-19 pandemic.

In fact, the President has little to do with the day-to-day functioning of the postal service, as former U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz explained in a column last week.

Some may believe that her words amount to criminal seditious behavior but based on legal definitions, those suggestions may be a stretch.

“Sedition is a serious felony punishable by fines and up to 20 years in prison and it refers to the act of inciting revolt or violence against a lawful authority with the goal of destroying or overthrowing it,” FindLaw notes.

“In order to get a conviction for seditious conspiracy, the government must prove that the defendant in fact conspired to use force. Simply advocating for the use of force is not the same thing and in most cases is protected as free speech under the First Amendment,” the site notes further. “Ultimately, the goal is to prevent threats against the United States while protecting individuals’ First Amendment rights, which isn’t always such a clear distinction.”

At least, especially given what happened to Scalise, Pelosi’s choice of words was highly irresponsible and inflammatory at a time when the country is so divided and violence is already widespread.

Many users on social media roundly condemned Nancy Pelosi’s comments.

“Trump Did That” – Vernon Jones Makes The Case On Why Black Community Should Support Trump

Democratic Georgia Rep. Vernon Jones recited a list of President Trump’s accomplishments for the black community during his Monday night speech at the Republican National Convention.

The Georgia lawmaker, who drew criticism from the left earlier this year for declaring his support for President Trump, used the theme “Donald Trump did that” as he went from issues like criminal justice reform to gains in black unemployment.

“When President Trump sought to earn the black vote, the Democratic Party leaders went crazy,” Jones began. “Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer literally started wearing kente cloths around the U.S. Capitol, as if pandering were enough to keep us satisfied. Let me tell you why I’m supporting our president.”

After recalling his own history of growing up in the South, Jones touted Trump’s funding of Historic Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and support of school choice, then turned to the economy and criminal justice reform.

“The president also built the most inclusive economy ever with record low unemployment for African Americans and record high participation in the workforce,” he said. “He put opportunity zones in the Trump tax bill that would drive investment into our communities for decades to come. He put the interests of America workers and especially black workers first. That’s right, Donald Trump did that.”

“He delivered historic criminal justice reform,” Jones continued. “He ended once and for all the policy of incarceration of black people which has decimated our communities, caused by no other than Joe Biden. Democrats wouldn’t do it. Obama did not want to do it and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris definitely wouldn’t do it. But Donald Trump did it.”

Jones went on to discuss Trump’s support for “true, sincere police reform.”

“Education, jobs, safety, security, on issue after issue and in just a single term he destroyed these negative forces that have victimized the black community for decades,” said Jones. “He gave us the opportunity to rise.”

The Georgia lawmaker ended with describing how “all hell broke loose” when he announced his support for the president.

“I was threatened, called an embarrassment and asked to resign by my own party,” he said. “Unfortunately, that’s consistent with the Democratic Party and how they view independent thinking black men and women. But I am here to tell you black voices are becoming more woke and louder than ever.”

“The Democratic Party has become infected with the pandemic of intolerance, bigotry, socialism, anti-law enforcement bias and a dangerous tolerance for people who attack others, destroy their property and terrorize our own community,” he concluded. “That’s what this election is all about. That’s why right now more than ever America needs Donald Trump in the Oval Office for another four years.”

Donna Brazile Losses It – Plays Victim Card & Lashes Out At Tammy Bruce After Successful First Night At RNC

Former DNC Chair Donna Brazile absolutely lost it this morning on FOX & Friends during her interview with conservative talker Tammy Bruce.

After Tammy Bruce described the clear difference in the two parties in America — DNC Convention focus on American sins versus RNC focus on hope, gratitude and growth — Then Donna Brazile just LOST IT.

Brazile went straight to “400 years of slavery” after Tammy spoke of the Democrat Party refusal to condemn the young Democrats rioting and looting in the streets.

“It sounds like i will never be an American in your world,” she told Tammy.

“Because after 400 years of slavery, my family cannot walk out their house without fearing violence,” Donna Brazile continued.

“You ignore the pain of people who are hurting, you ignore the pain of people who are in need,” Brazile ranted at Tammy.

The former DNC Chair also accused the host of patronizing and being offensive and disrespectful by ignoring “the reality that is happening.

She then went on to say that Joe Biden was speaking to everyday Americans during the DNC convention.

GOP Convention’s Digital Viewership Crushes DNC, SIX TIMES More Views On C-SPAN Livestream

The Democratic National Convention struggled with ratings last week, performing poorly via online streaming and dropping 25% in broadcast viewership on the first night, also hitting a massive 48% decline by the second night of the convention.

Due to the same coronavirus-related issues facing the GOP, the Republican National Conventio was predicted to similarly flail.

But this appears to not be the case, at least digitally.

On Monday’s first convention, C-SPAN livestream viewership was six times higher than the first night of the DNC.

As The Hill reported, C-SPAN’s livestream of the RNC garnered nearly 440,000 views. The first night of the DNC, by comparison, gathered a mere 76,000 views.

The livestream numbers are preceded by traditional broadcast ratings from Nielsen Media Research, not set to be released until later in the day on Tuesday.

According to the media company, “18.7 million people tuned in to the first night of the virtual Democratic convention from Milwaukee and Wilmington, Del. last Monday night, which featured speeches from former first lady Michelle Obama and former Gov. John Kasich” and Democratic nominee Joe Biden mustered some 21.8 million viewers via broadcast.

The Biden numbers were 21% lower than former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s 2016 DNC acceptance speech, the report added. “They are also more than 38 percent lower than President Trump‘s acceptance speech at the Republican convention four years ago, which drew 34.9 million viewers.”

Speaking specifically to digital metrics, The Post Millennial’s Chief Marketing Officer Jeff Ballingall said last week that the speech from former first lady Michelle Obama, which was widely praised by the mainstream media, preformed poorly, buried in online views by an ad from relatively unknown GOP congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik.

“By digital metrics, Michelle Obama bombed at the DNC last night. The former first lady was completely outdone by an unknown house candidate, [Kim Klacik],” Ballingall argued, citing Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube views and engagement.

The CMO highlighted last Wednesday that DNC online views again performed poorly, despite former President Barack Obama as the headlining address.

The first night of the RNC included speakers like Donald Trump Jr., GOP congressional candidate Kimberly Klacik, Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker, Sen. Tim Scott, former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, and father and school safety advocate Andrew Pollack.
