Fox News Personalities Trash Tomi Lahren For Claiming That Sen. Kamala Harris Slept Her ‘Way To The Top’

Young conservative commentator Tomi Lahren faced criticism from the left and right for saying what may very well be the truth about Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris — albeit saying it in a way that they apparently believe was sleazy and inartful.

“Kamala did you fight for ideals or did you sleep your way to the top with Willie Brown?” the 26-year-old Fox News contributor bluntly tweeted during the Democrat presidential primary debate on Wednesday.

The tweet triggered wide outrage, including attacks from her fellow Fox News personalities.

On Thursday, Tomi Lahren released a statement apologizing for her choice of words. “I apologize for my comment on Kamala’s personal relationship. It was the wrong choice of words. There are many other things to take her to task for and I will stick to those.” Fox Nation’s Tomi Lahren tweeted.

Before Lahren’s apology, the firestorm grew as unnamed Fox personalities also reportedly complained in private to CNN senior reporter Oliver Darcy.

“I did hear from several Fox employees who reached out to me on their own accord,” he revealed in CNN’s Brian Stelter’s daily evening newsletter.

“‘It makes me sick that I work for the same company as Tomi Lahren,’ one Fox employee told me. ‘Mindblowing how we give this woman a job.’ Another employee texted me the URL to Lahren’s tweet, calling it ‘unacceptable.’”

It’s unclear whether Kat Timpf, Britt McHenry or the Fox personalities with whom Oliver spoke have ever publicly complained about the left-wing media personalities who spent years mocking first lady Melania for her former career as a model.

Besides all the hypocrisy, what is also notable about the criticism being lobbed at Tomi Lahren is the apparent aversion to the facts, which is that the commentator’s posts are rooted in reality.

One week after Harris announced her candidacy in January, former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown published an op-ed to the San Francisco Chronicle revealing that the two had once partaken in an affair — one that “may have influenced her career.”

“Yes, we dated,” he wrote. “It was more than 20 years ago. Yes, I may have influenced her career by appointing her to two state commissions when I was Assembly speaker. And I certainly helped with her first race for district attorney in San Francisco.”

The former San Francisco Mayor, thirty years her senior, reportedly rewarded Kamala Harris with two lucrative appointments, earning her over $400,000 in a 5 year period and also gifted her with a BMW.

While this isn’t definitive proof that Sen. Harris did indeed “sleep [her] way to the top,” it’s certainly very suggestive.

“Willie Brown, of course, was California’s most powerful politician, which might have had something to do with why Harris was out ‘dating’ the married man twice her age,” conservative commentator Monica Showalter noted in a column at the time Brown’s op-ed was published.

Few months ago, comedian Roseanne Barr kept it even more blunt during an appearance on conservative activist Candace Owen’s Prager University show.

“Look at Kamala Harris, who I call Kama Sutra Harris,” she said during a discussion with Candace Owens about the #MeToo movement. “We all know what she did … she slept her way to the bottom. There was a time as a feminist that we don’t do that. We have respect for ourselves and we stick together. But that all went to hell too.”

Interestingly, these same sorts of opinions and points have been reflected back to Timpf and McHenry on social media, where their followers haven’t exactly taken kindly to their criticisms of Tomi Lahren.
