Today, the White House Secretary played the video of Nancy Pelosi at the San Francisco hair salon on loop and called for the House Speaker to apologize.
“We found Nancy Pelosi going into her hair salon. We will be playing the video on loop for all of you to see during the duration of this introduction,” she said.
“Apparently the rules do not apply to Speaker Nancy Pelosi.” McEnany added.
While discussing the controversial salon visit, even CNN’s Don Lemon concluded that Nancy Pelosi should have admitted she messed up, rather than try to deflect blame.
Lemon showed video of Pelosi saying she “takes responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon” and saying she’s been “set-up.”
Lemon then says “so the Speaker of the House is blaming the salon after she didn’t wear a mask indoors.”
He continued “Regardless, this far into the pandemic, the House Speaker should know what is safe and what isn’t. We should all know. It’s our responsibility. Instead of claiming a set-up, it would have been just as easy for the Speaker to say, ‘You know what, I messed up. I should have worn a mask indoors.’”
