Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn is done playing games in the swamp. Flynn has been treated like a piñata by the Dems, as new reports say that they even threatened his son to get to him.
Now Michael Flynn accepted responsibility for his actions, but he has lost his professional standing (in some circles) and lost his financial security to mounting legal bills.
What we learned by dragging Flynn in front of Congress to rehash his FARA violations, is that what he said to Russia, President Trump would have told him to do the same if he had asked him.
In other words, this is just Adam Schiff trying to create a spectacle where nothing new can be learned.
The Dems have been wrong so many times it is astounding the media keeps pushing their narratives.
The Hill reported that Former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn will invoke his Fifth Amendment rights rather than testify before the House Intelligence Committee, Flynn’s lawyer Sidney Powell said in a letter, as The Washington Examiner reported.
Powell, who replaced Flynn’s previous attorneys, wrote that his client refuses to be “paraded, harassed or disparaged” by Committee Chair Adam Schiff.
Powell has previously accused federal prosecutors of withholding evidence favorable to Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his conversations with the Russian ambassador. Flynn’s sentencing on the false statements charges was previously delayed to allow him to continue cooperating in the investigation into a former business partner’s foreign lobbying.
Flynn confessed to lying about discussions he had with the Russian ambassador about U.S. sanctions. He cooperated with the prosecution on a lobbying investigation unrelated to the 2016 election, The Washington Examiner reported.
In her letter to Mr. Schiff, Ms. Powell said that Flynn “will not appear before your committee on September 25, 2019 to be paraded, harassed or disparaged for doing so.”
She accused Mr. Schiff of a “disregard for propriety, professionalism, prior practices and ethics in your theatrical demand.”
