Obama Gets ‘Literally Everything’ Wrong While Bashing America’s Gun Laws During a Speech in Brazil

Ex-President Barack Obama got a fact check from social media users after a recent video of him bashing U.S. gun laws while abroad appeared online.

While speaking at an event in Brazil, Barack Obama was asked about his hardest day as president. He told the crowd the day of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Connecticut was the hardest day he faced while leading the nation.

After explaining the heartbreaking incident, however, Obama made a few more claims about gun laws in the United States that don’t hold up.

“Some of you may be aware our gun laws in the United States don’t make much sense,” Obama said. “Anybody can buy any weapon any time — without much if any regulation, they can buy it over the Internet, they can buy machine guns.”

Folks on social media were quick to notice several problems with the ex-president’s remarks and wasted no time pointing out that he got “literally everything” wrong.

“This is an absolute lie. Machine guns are almost impossible to buy in the US. Tons of people (Felons) are banned from buying a gun at all and we have tons of regulations in a large portion of our states. @BarackObama, do better.” said a post on Twitter.

Another pointed out that Brazil has strict gun laws yet still suffers from a high gun murder rate – and that the Sandy Hook shooter didn’t purchase the firearms he used in the attack.

“It’s especially stark given that he’s talking about American gun laws in relation to the Sandy Hook shooting where the shooter did not legally purchase his firearms but instead murdered his own mother and stole hers.” the user added.

Despite former President Obama’s comments, there are 300 federal, state and local laws on the books that regulate the sale of firearms, including those that are sold over the internet.

According to the National Rifle Association, gun purchases have age limits depending on the type of firearm, and every buyer must pass a background check if they buy from a dealer. In addition, the purchase and sale of new machine guns have been illegal since 1986, and those grandfathered in face an extra license and fees.

Rush Limbaugh Dropped The Hammer On Ex-President Obama & The Media Who Covered Up For Him

Rush Limbaugh just slammed former President Barack Obama and the media who covered up for him.

Limbaugh pointed out how serious the situation really is, saying that they abused our system and abused their power to target President Trump with the full weight of the state.

Rush posted a transcript of his show on his official web site, Rushlimbaugh.com, where he claimed that former President ‘Obama Spied on Donald Trump — And the Drive-By’s Covered It Up.’

Here is a segment from the transcript that Rush Limbaugh posted on his website:

“The FBI, New York Times story today, there’s no question that it is trying to get ahead of the Horowitz report, which is looking into all of this. And the money quote from the piece: “It is unclear whether Mr. Horowitz will find fault with the FBI’s decision to have Ms. Turk, whose real name is not publicly known, meet with Mr. Papadopoulos.” … We’re now on offense, they’re on defense, and you can see them behaving in that way. Sending Clapper out today on CNN for no earthly reason. This New York Times story out of the blue, which is a CYA attempt if there ever was one.

RUSH: So she had a former Clinton spokesman by the name of Josh Schwerin, and he’s supposed to rebut this idea that the New York Times and all these people were admitting that the FBI spied. Her question… You’ll hear he pretty much proves my point, inadvertently. Question: “How much does this have to do with the upcoming release of the Horowitz report,” Josh, old buddy, old pal?

SCHWERIN: I think the idea that it would be wrong for the FBI to conduct legal surveillance when they have one of our allied nations, in this case Australia, come to them and say a Trump aide says Russia offered to help.

RUSH: Oh, my God.

SCHWERIN: They had to investigate that.

RUSH: My God!

SCHWERIN: To not investigate that would be a dereliction of their duty. So I hope that the FBI looked into all of these claims and took them seriously. In this case Russia was interfering with the election. Whether Papadopoulos ended up being an integral part of that or not, they did intervene in the election, they did commit crimes against our country, and I’m glad the FBI investigated it.

RUSH: So the Clinton spokesman is admitting that the Obama administration was spying and trying to justify it. Well, what happened to all these outright denials like from Comey: Best I can tell it’s made up. I don’t find it possible. I know it’s not true. Adam Schiff: There’s no evidence to support any allegation. Josh Schwerin: Damn right we were spying, we had every reason to spy. This bunch was colluding with Russia. I’m glad they spied.

Wow. This is a 180. But he told a gigantic whopper. And again, I don’t know if these people are just flat-out ignorant and have believed every step of the narrative that’s been assembled or if they are knowingly lying. His outright lies is, “Hey, look. One of our allied nations, in this case Australia, came to the FBI. They say a Trump aide says Russia has offered to help. They’ve got to investigate that.” That’s Alexander Downer and Papadopoulos. And how many times have you heard me say — you don’t even need me to say it, you know what happened.

Stefan Halper and Mifsud tell Papadopoulos the Russians have Hillary Clinton emails. They arrange for Papadopoulos to meet Downer in a bar in London. Papadopoulos happens to mention this ’cause he’s been coached by Halper to tell Downer. Halper says, “Now, remember, George, remember the Russians have Hillary’s emails.” So he tells Downer, and then Downer, who’s in on the scam, calls the FBI, ”Hey, there’s a Trump guy here, Papadopoulos says that Trump knows the Russians have –” and here’s this guy from the Clinton campaign repeating that flat-out.

This is all going to come out. This has been known for over a year.

Let’s see, time is short. I want to get to Glenn Greenwald, sound bites 8 and 9. This is last night on Tucker Carlson, Chatsworth Osborne Jr. on the Fox News Channel. He’s got Glenn Greenwald, a leftist. He founded the website The Intercept. Question: “Where is the part where we stop and assess what we have just seen for the past three years where we hold people accountable for it and learn something from it and move on?”

GREENWALD: The reason that you’re seeing so much intense rage towards Bill Barr is because they know what he is now going to do, which is what journalists should be doing and at least some of us are, which is asking the question, which is now for me the central question in American politics, how is it that our discourse has been drowned out for almost three years by a conspiracy theory, or really a set of conspiracy theories, as inflammatory and as dangerous as you can possibly get that turned out to be totally untrue? Who started this conspiracy theory? How are the vast, invasive powers of the FBI, NSA, and CIA used to spy and infiltrate a campaign and spy on American citizens in the name of a conspiracy?

RUSH: Let me tell you what rather bothers Greenwald. Greenwald is a journalist of old repute. He thinks journalists ought to be friends with nobody, and particularly powerful people in government. He thinks journalists need to be suspicious of the people in Washington who have power, and they ought to be doing everything to uncover every bit of corruption these powerful people are engaged in.

What he knows is that the Washington press corps became complicit in this conspiracy to unseat Trump, and he’s outraged by it. He thinks journalism has been dealt a tremendous blow to its reputation as an industry. I’ve heard him say this. He doesn’t understand how the entirety of the Washington press corps could end up as accomplices to the people who spread these lies for three years, this conspiracy that Trump colluded. We know it isn’t true.

And he cannot believe, he cannot believe there wasn’t a single journalist in all of Washington who was not interested in blowing this up instead of becoming friends and buddies and accomplices of the people who ran it. Here’s how he concluded his remarks.

GREENWALD: As a leftist, somebody who is steeped in the history of the Church commission, the abuses of the FBI under Hoover, these are the most serious things that can happen. You want to talk about threats to democracy? How about spying on and listening in on the calls of American citizens by convincing a FISA court that they’re Russian agents when then you unleash a prosecutor for 22 months who concludes that they aren’t Russian agents, that there’s no evidence to suggest that that was the case. That’s the real scandal. And that’s where the investigation is now going to turn. And that’s why there’s panicking about Bill Barr, because they know that he is going to unflinchingly pursue that.

RUSH: He’s not gonna just pursue it. He’s gonna find it. He’s gonna find out who did this, he’s gonna found out how all these media people ended up being complicit in it, they’re gonna get to the bottom of it, who started it, why they started it, when it started, and it’s gonna go very, very high in the Obama administration, folks. It’s gonna go all the way up to Brennan, CIA, it’s gonna involve the Brits and MI5 and MI6, you wait. And they all know it.

They never dreamed any of this would happen. Trump is supposed to be lone gone by now. Trump is supposed to be so humiliated and embarrassed he’s gonna resign long ago, and none of this has worked out the way they intended. They knew they were lying about this from the get-go and they ran the risk, and now it’s about to blow up in their faces. But Greenwald is right. How in the world do people who are supposed to uncover this kind of corruption end up enabling it and becoming complicit in it?”

Conway Is Having A Blast With Obama’s Rumored Unhappiness About Hillary Clinton’s ‘Soulless Campaign’

Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway is getting a kick out of former President Barack Obama’s new biography, which claims he blamed Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential election loss on her “soulless campaign,” and she made sure to crack a joke at her boss’ predecessor’s expense.

The New York Times Chief White House Correspondent Peter Baker recently released a book called “Obama: The Call of History” in which he details the former president’s reaction to his secretary of state’s shocking loss to President Trump. According to the book, Obama took it as a “personal insult.”

On Friday, Kellyanne Conway took to Twitter to share a report on the book and couldn’t resist taking a jab at Clinton and Obama.

“More trouble in paradise,” she wrote. “Former President Barack Obama was unhappy with Hillary Clinton and her failed ‘soulless campaign’ in 2016, saying he saw her loss as a ‘personal insult.’”

As Baker wrote, Obama thought there was “no way Americans would turn on him” and that “[h]is legacy, he felt, was in safe hands.” He reportedly faulted Clinton’s “scripted, soulless campaign” for not turning his presidency and legacy into a winning message for voters.

Here is an excerpt from the book that explains his astonishment: “Obama may not have been on the ballot, but it was hard not to see the vote as a ‘personal insult,’ as he had called it on the campaign trail. ‘This stings,’ [Obama] said. ‘This hurts.’”

Baker also claims that he was stunned that the public “decided to replace him with a buffoonish showman whose calling cards had been repeated bankruptcies, serial marriages and racist dog whistles.” He also claims the former president kept a cool demeanor in public but sounded off about Donald Trump’s win in private.

After once seething to his former speechwriter Ben Rhodes, who told him that Trump “peddles in bulls**t,” he allegedly said, “Maybe that’s the best we can hope for.”

Former FBI Official Reveals That Agents Recovered Missing Clinton Emails In Obama’s White House – Anthony Weiner’s Computer

Former FBI official revealed that some of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s emails were recovered in the “executive offices” of the White House while former President Barack Obama held the office.

According to a disclosure obtained by Judicial Watch, the assistant director of the FBI Counterintelligence Division, Bill Priestap, admitted that the “email repositories were obtained” from the executive offices of the White House. Bill Priestap has retired from the FBI since then, as the Washington Examiner reported.

Judicial Watch questioned top intelligence officials after a judge ordered several key administrators to be deposed under oath about Clinton’s emails as it was connected to her private server and the emails sent regarding her response to the embassy attack at Benghazi.

This deposition exposed that missing emails were found at the White House, the State Department, and several individuals such as Clinton’s chief of staff, Cheryl Mills.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton stated that Clinton avoided criminal prosecution just because the White House was “implicated” in the email scandal while Ex-President Obama’s Department of Justice was investigating the use of the private server.

“This astonishing confirmation, made under oath by the FBI, shows that the Obama FBI had to go to President Obama’s White House office to find emails that Hillary Clinton tried to destroy or hide from the American people. No wonder Hillary Clinton has thus far skated – Barack Obama is implicated in her email scheme.”

In addition, Judicial Watch reported that 48,982 emails were recovered from former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s laptop.

New York authorities confiscated the disgraced congressman’s laptop as part of an investigation into whether he sent sexually explicit images to a minor. During the investigation, FBI officials were notified that several emails from Clinton were also on the computer.

For now, it is not clear what will come of this information. Many Republicans, including Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham, have already strongly hinted that they would love to see a special counsel investigation into Clinton and the Obama Department of Justice.

Trump Slams Obama Saying That It’s ‘Hard To Believe’ He Didn’t Know What FBI Was Cooking In 2016

President Trump said Wednesday that “it would certainly be hard to believe” that former President Barack Obama was unaware of what the FBI was doing back in 2016.

The President spoke with WMAL radio host Larry O’Connor, and said that he was considering holding his own press conference on Thursday following the public release of the Mueller report.

President Trump went on to praise Attorney General William Barr, saying “he’s grabbed it by the horn.”

The conversation continued to several former Obama-era officials, most of whom are probably going to be investigated in the coming months as Attorney General Barr has pledged, and President Trump touted the fact that he had called attention to them as “one of my great achievements, actually.”

President Trump also shared his strong opinions when it came to whether or not ex president Obama was aware of what the FBI was doing.

“How is it possible that he didn’t know?” he asked. “I mean, we’re talking about pervasive, horrible things that were happening.”

“It would certainly be hard to believe that he didn’t know what was going on,” President Trump concluded.

Attorney General Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein are expected to release the Mueller report and give a press conference Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. EST.
