VIDEO: Bernie Sanders Bursts In Flames When Asked About His Taxes – Hypocrisy Called Out

This Monday during a Fox News town hall, Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders exploded when he was asked about accepting tax breaks that he voted against and why he didn’t send the money back, as he constantly is claiming that the wealthy need to pay more in taxes.

Fox News host Bret Baier first pressed Sanders on the issue, to which Sanders responded: “Pfft…come on…I am, I paid the taxes that I owe…why don’t you get Donald Trump up here and ask him how much he pays in taxes.”

Few moments later, Fox News host Martha MacCallum pressed him again on the issue, asking: “So would you be willing to pay 52% on the money that you made? You can volunteer, you can send it back.”

You can volunteer too,” Bernie Sanders responded. “Martha, why don’t you give? You make more money than I do.”

“I didn’t suggest a wealth tax,”Fox News host Martha MacCallum replied.

“And she’s not running for president,” Fox News host Bret Baier added.

Bernie Sanders’ entire defense was to point the finger at someone else and deflect.

When asked a question about HIM giving more, he immediately plays the “but what about Trump?” card without answering the question about himself. Pure political deflection.

Pelosi Claims Her Paradise Is Intact – ’60 Min’ Host Calls Her Bluff For Bashing Ocasio-Cortez And Her Small Gang Of Socialists

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claimed again that she is in control of her Party and that progressive freshman Democrats in Congress do not hold that much influence.

This Sunday, the California Democrat dismissed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ appearance of power and other “self-described socialists” as being only “like five people” in the Democratic caucus during a “60 Minutes” interview on CBS News.

( Video: CBS News 60 Minutes: ) “You are contending with a group in Congress: over here on the left flank are these self-described socialists, on the right, these moderates,” host Lesley Stahl began. “You yourself said that you’re the only one that can unify everybody.”

“The question is, can you?” Stahl asked.

By and large, whatever orientation they came to Congress with, they know that we have to hold the center, that we have to go down the mainstream,” Pelosi answered.

“They know that?” the host asked, adding “but it doesn’t look like that” when Pelosi confirmed, “they do.”

“It looks as if it’s fractured,” Stahl said.

In another segment of the interview, the host continued to question the 79-year-old speaker about the power of the freshmen lawmakers in the Democratic Party.

You have these wings, AOC and her group on one side,” Stahl began, to which Pelosi interjected: “That’s like five people.”

“No, it’s the progressive group, it’s more than five,” the host responded.

“Well, the progressive– I’m a progressive,” Pelosi shot back.

During the interview, Pelosi also said that she “reject[s] socialism as an economic system.”

“If people have that view, that’s their view,” she said. “That is not the view of the Democratic Party.”

On Sunday, White House counselor Kellyanne Conway suggested that “there’s trouble in Pelosi’s paradise,” and noted the influence of the radical new Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez, and Reps. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib during an interview with MSNBC’s Chuck Todd.

“There’s a great of frustration among some of the rank and file members who represent more moderate districts and frankly who represent districts that Donald Trump won in 2016. They’re very frustrated,” she said. “They’ve been to the White House. They’ve talked to people like me quietly, saying they wish the radical freshmen who get all the magazine covers and all the ink and air time …”

Host Stahl continued to press Pelosi on the lack off accomplishments of Democrats in Congress.

( Video: CBS News 60 Minutes: ) “One of the complaints we’ve heard is that you don’t reach across the aisle. Because it seems like right now nothing is getting done. You pass things, whatever it is, it dies in the Senate…,” she began.

Nothing died. Nothing died. We’re together 100 days,” Pelosi quickly corrected the interviewer. “The fact that we even passed them in the House is a victory. Let’s figure out the places, figure out where we can find common ground. There’s always been bipartisan support for DREAMers, bipartisan support for gun safety, bipartisan support for infrastructure.”

“But why doesn’t anything get done?” the host asked.

“Because we just started. We just started, We just started with three months since we’re in office,” the Democrat leader argued.

When host Stahl reminded Pelosi that President Trump has been in office for more than two years, she quickly noted, “And we’ve been here three months,” reminding her of the “power of the Speaker.”

“Hey, may I introduce you to the idea of the power of the Speaker is to set the agenda? We didn’t have a Speaker who would bring a gun bill to the floor. We didn’t have a Speaker who would bring DREAMers issue to the floor,” Pelosi declared.

“We do now. And that’s a very big difference,” she added. “The power of the Speaker is awesome. Awesome.”

Sarah Sanders Slams Incompetent Congress Members:’They’re Not Smart Enough’ To Look Through Trump’s Taxes

This Sunday, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders stated that she doesn’t think Congress members are “smart enough” to look through President Donald Trump’s tax returns.

“I don’t think Congress — particularly not this group of congressmen and women — are smart enough to look through the thousands of pages that I would assume that President Trump’s taxes will be,” she said on “Fox News Sunday.”

“My guess is that most of them don’t do their own taxes, and I certainly don’t trust them to look through the decades of success that the president has and determine anything,” the White House press secretary continued.

Sarah Sanders also stated that Democrats are taking a “dangerous, dangerous road” in asking for President Trump’s tax returns.

Earlier this month, House Democrats formally requested the President’s tax returns. Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal asked IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig to turn over six years of President Trump’s personal and business tax returns.

On Saturday, Neal sent a second letter to Rettig, extending the deadline to turn over the President’s taxes to April 23. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said he expects Treasury to respond to Neal by that date but stated that the deadline is “arbitrary.”

President Trump, breaking with other candidates, has stated he will not release his taxes, citing an ongoing audit.

If the House Ways and Means Committee obtains the President’s tax returns, it could designate committee staff and staff from Congress’s Joint Committee on Taxation to help review the tax returns behind closed doors before the committee votes to make any of it public.

Even Dem Mayors Claim Trump Should Bring On The Immigrants – Nancy’s Problem Still A Mystery

Chicago Mayor-elect Lori Lightfoot called President Trump’s bluff on sending illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities, saying the Windy City welcomes those who would enter our country illegally. And she is not the only Democratic mayor to open their arms to immigrants.

With more than 100,000 illegal immigrants arriving at the southern border in March alone, many of them women and children, a full blown crisis has emerged. The Border Patrol is overwhelmed and all detention centers are full, and due to our antiquated immigration laws, the federal government is forced to release detained illegal immigrants on to U.S. soil just because they can only be held not more than 20 days.

All that being said, the President has confirmed a report from the Washington Post that he’s “giving strong considerations to placing illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities only.”

“California certainly is always saying, ‘Oh we want more people,’ and they want more people in their sanctuary cities. Well, we’ll give them more people. We can give them a lot. We can give them an unlimited supply — and let’s see if they’re so happy. They say they have open arms — they’re always saying they have open arms, let see if they have open arms,” President Trump said Friday at the White House.

The first openly gay mayor of Chicago, Mayor-elect Lightfoot, appeared on CNN and told anchor Anderson Cooper that President Trump was being “provocative,” saying his suggestion is “much ado about nothing.”

She also stated that Chicago has “a whole infrastructure that’s built up” to protect and provide for illegal immigrants.

When CNN’s Anderson Cooper implied that Lightfoot was in agreement with President Trump “using” illegal immigrants as “a weapon against political opponents,” the mayor-elect pushed back while touting her city’s efforts in helping illegal immigrants defy our laws.

“No, no,” she replied. “Look, don’t get me wrong. What I’m saying is I don’t think we should take the bait every time the president puts out a provocative tweet. What I think we need to do is make sure that we are being very clear and speaking our values.”

“We are a city that is a sanctuary city,” Lightfoot continued. “We have immigrants from all over the world who call Chicago their home. They’ll continue to do that, and we’re going to continue to make sure that this is truly a welcoming community for those immigrants and we want them to come to the city of Chicago.”

As for California, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo posted on Twitter and said that his city would welcome illegal immigrants sent their way.

“@realdonaldtrump⁩ plans to release detained immigrants to @cityofsanjose⁩? We welcome any families willing to endure such extraordinary hardships and to take such tremendous risks to be a part of our great country,” Licarrdo tweeted.

Berkleley Mayor Jesse Arreguin also joined in to say they are a “proud sanctuary city” that welcomes illegal immigrants, only too happy to assist them in defying our laws.

Philadelphia’s Democratic Mayor Jim Kenney said in a statement that his city “would be prepared to welcome these immigrants just as we have embraced our immigrant communities for decades,” according to Reuters.

Other Democrats were critical of the President, such as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti.

“The Trump Administration’s latest hateful idea is nothing more than a needless distraction and a waste of time,” Garcetti tweeted. “We need real solutions that uphold our values — not disgraceful policies that demonize immigrants and will never become reality.”

The other great haven for illegal immigrants in America, New York City, was also eager to trash Trump for taking on our broken immigration system, as seen in the response from hard-left Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio.

“Cruelty is the only constant in @realDonaldTrump’s immigration policy. He’s obsessed with creating crisis after crisis in a cynical ploy to turn us against our immigrant neighbors. It didn’t work before. It won’t work now.” tweeted Bill de Blasio.

California Democrat Nancy Pelosi criticized President Trump for his statement on sending illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities.

On Friday she stated that rounding up immigrants and shipping them to sanctuary cities is “disrespectful” to our nation. Seems like her Democrat colleges don’t agree with her statement.

It sure is hard to explain why Democrats wouldn’t eagerly invite more illegal immigrants or undocumented asylum seekers into the districts and cities that are supposed to be the most welcoming.

Melania’s Spox Shoots Back At Vogue Editor Wintour’s Decision Not To Put The First Lady On Their Covers

This Friday, Stephanie Grisham, First Lady Melania Trump’s spokeswoman, hit back at Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour’s choice to not feature the first lady on its cover.

“To be on the cover of Vogue doesn’t define Mrs. Trump, she’s been there, done that long before she was First Lady,” Grisham shared in a statement to The Daily Caller.

“Her role as First Lady of the United States and all that she does is much more important than some superficial photo shoot and cover,” she added. “This just further demonstrates how biased the fashion magazine industry is, and shows how insecure and small-minded Anna Wintour really is.”

“Unfortunately, Mrs. Trump is used to this kind of divisive behavior” Grisham continued.

The remarks came in response to a recent interview the editor-in-chief did with Christiane Amanpour on CNN while discussing what kind of decisions went into featuring people like former first lady Michelle Obama on their covers.

She ment whether it was purely a political choice, because the magazine strongly features Democrat women over Republican ones.

The video can be seen here and starts at the 7:31 minute mark.

“I mean you are overtly political in your profiles and in what you stand for,” Amanpour stated. “What is it you are trying to say by profiling a Michelle Obama or Kamala Harris, or even a Stormy Daniels?”

“If you’re talking about the first lady [Michelle Obama] or Senator [Kamala] Harris, obviously these are women that we feel are icons and inspiring to women from a global perspective,” Wintour responded.

“I also feel even more strongly now that this is not a time to try — and I think one has to be fair, one has to look at all sides — but I don’t think it’s a moment not to take a stand.”

“You have to stand up for what you believe in and you have to take a point of view,” she added. “We profile women in the magazine that we believe in the stand that they’re taking on issues we support them in the fact that we feel that they are leaders.”

At one point during the interview, the two also talked about how Hillary Clinton was the first lady to ever grace the cover of the magazine back in 1998. And how during Obama’s presidency, Michelle was on the cover as many as three times. Meanwhile, first lady’s Laura and Barbara Bush appeared in the magazine when the where in the White House, but never on the cover.

Democratic Rep Claims Sanctuary Cities Were Created Because Of President Trump

Democratic Massachusetts Rep. Katherine Clark claimed that President Trump’s failure to achieve immigration reform has created the need for sanctuary cities.

Rep. Katherine Clark appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Friday and said that “Sanctuary cities are directly correlated to a lack of comprehensive immigration reform,”

“Nobody on either side of the aisle of any political ideology will tell you that our immigration system is working well.”

“But that proposal that was passed over five years ago in a bipartisan way in the Senate still languishes,” Clark continued.

“And what we’ve seen is a president that, as you just said, from his very first moments of announcing his candidacy has gone to fear, division, racism and called that up in the American people.” she added.

Clark called on the President to “embrace” illegal immigrants in an effort to boost the U.S. economy and said that Trump’s immigration policies are causing chaos at the border with Mexico.

“It is time that he be the leader that we need and say, ‘Let’s look at our system, let’s see how we can protect our national security and have an immigration system that makes sense, and that allows people to immigrate into this country to fill some of the needs we have for workers, and that is really in line with our heritage and values as Americans,” Clark said.

“But this president is committed to doing the opposite and you can see it from the absolute chaos that he has created in the Department of Homeland Security. That is a reflection of the chaos on the border.”

Kamala Harris Claims She Owns A Gun For ‘Personal Protection,’ While She Wants To Ban Them For Everyone Else

On Thursday, California Democratic Senator Kamala Harris said she owns a gun for “personal safety” and added that she wants to protect the Second Amendment after leading efforts to ban assault weapons.

Business Insider reported that Kamala Harris told this to reporters after she attended a party with supporters in Des Moines, Iowa.

“I am a gun owner, and I own a gun for probably the reason a lot of people do — for personal safety,” she said. “I was a career prosecutor.”

The 2020 election candidate also stated that she believes she can solve gun control issues, mentioning a lack of leadership.

“We are being offered a false choice,” Harris continued. “You’re either in favor of the Second Amendment or you want to take everyone’s guns away. It’s a false choice that is born out of a lack of courage from leaders who must recognize and agree that there are some practical solutions to what is a clear problem in our country.”

Senator Kamala Harris was the attorney general of California 2011-2017 before being elected as a Senate member. Now, she hopes to take on President Trump in the 2020 election, but will have to get through a crowded Democratic primary first.

The California Democrat has previously stated that our country needs a president who knows how to prosecute Donald Trump, citing her former job as state attorney general.

It sure looks like Senator Harris hides behind guns, walls and privilege every day, but want’s to deny them to ordinary American citizen.

WATCH: Mike Pence Opens Up On Buttigieg: He Needs To Stop ‘Attacking My Christian Faith’

Vice President Mike Pence responded to 2020 White House hopeful Pete Buttigieg in an interview that aired on Friday, after he previously criticized him.

The Vice President accused the South Bend, Ind., mayor of ginning up a conflict for votes and attacking his religious faith.

Mike Pence appeared on an interview on CNN and said that Buttigieg knew that Pence did’t have a problem with him over his sexuality. The mayor is the first openly gay man to gain traction in a major party’s primary race.

“You know, I’ve known Mayor Pete for many years. We worked closely together when I was governor,” Pence told CNN’s Dana Bash in the interview.

“I considered him a friend,” Pence added. “He knows I don’t have a problem with him.”

“I don’t believe in discrimination against anybody. I treat everybody how I want to be treated,” Pence continued. “The truth of it is, all of us have our own religious convictions. Pete has his convictions, I have mine.”

The Vice President added that the mayor’s quarrel was “with the First Amendment,” adding: “All of us in this country have a right to our religious beliefs.”

Pence and Buttigieg have recently traded blows in the press after the South Bend mayor accused the Vice President of holding his sexuality against him due to his conservative Christian beliefs about homosexuality.

LISTEN: John Bolton Bursts In Laughter After Listening To Kirsten Gillibrand On Nuclear Weapons

On Wednesday, U.S. National Security Adviser John Bolton was a guest on radio show host Hugh Hewitt’s show, and he just couldn’t stop laughing, at remarks made by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand showing her vast grasp of nuclear weaponry in which she referred to “tactile” nuclear weapons, apparently feeling they’re dangerous because they’re something you can reach out and touch.

Host Hewitt played a clip of Gillibrand speaking at a townhall in New Hampshire, in which she repeatedly referred to “tactile” nuclear weapons, which caused Bolton to burst in laughter.

The exchange went on like this: Hewitt: Last question, Ambassador Bolton. The presidential campaign is underway. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand ventured into strategic matters at a town hall in Dover. Let me play you a 40 second cut of what she had to say and ask the follow up question. Cut number 17:

Gillibrand can be heard saying, “When you say you want to develop low-yield nuclear weapons that are tactile, what you’re saying is you want to use them. Now the military will make an argument to say oh, this is just again to make, we have to have an equal threat. And this, if it’s usable, then it’s a better threat. I just found that is not believable. I just, I, they’re trying to create nuclear weapons that are usable. So I opposed the entire Defense bill because of that one provision. So if I am president, I am going to make sure we unwind that completely, and I don’t think we should be trying to create tactile nuclear weapons.”

ewitt continued, “So the…”

Bolton, laughing, “Tactile nuclear weapons?”

Hewitt: Well, I was unfamiliar with the concept, Mr. Ambassador.

Bolton can’t stop laughing.

Hewitt: What are you up to?

Blton, laughing, “I have to say, I was unfamiliar with it as well. I wonder what Senator Gillibrand knows that I don’t.”

Hewitt: Oh, they are very worried.

Bolton is still laughing.

Hewitt: I’ve been studying this stuff with, since President Nixon was in retirement in San Clemente. First time I’ve heard of tactile nuclear weapons. So what, is something going on at Andrew Marshall’s old office at the Pentagon we don’t know about?

Bolton: (laughing) Well, you know, Hugh, as national security advisor, I don’t get involved in politics. But I’ll just say maybe Senator Gillibrand could give me a call and tell me what she knows about those tactile nuclear weapons. I’d be interested in learning it. (laughing)

https://twitter.com/DavidRutz/status/1116009078000582657

Just to edify Gillibrand, there are such weapons known as “tactical” nuclear weapons; former Secretary of Defense James Mattis stated there was no such thing, asserting, “I don’t think there is any such thing as a ‘tactical nuclear weapon.’ Any nuclear weapon used any time is a strategic game-changer.”

Back in February 2018, championing a nuclear warhead for America’s sea-launched ballistic missiles and a new sea-launched nuclear cruise missile, Mattis said, “We don’t want someone else to miscalculate and think that because they are going to use a low-yield weapon, somehow we would confront what [former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger] calls ‘surrender or suicide.'”

“We do not want even an inch of daylight to appear in how we look at the nuclear deterrent. It is a nuclear deterrent, and must be considered credible.” he added.

VIDEO: Stunning Moment VP Pence Looks Directly At Venezuelan Ambassador And Says:’You Shouldn’t Be Here’

This Wednesday, while speaking at a Special Session of the United Nations Security Council about the Crisis in Venezuela, Vice President Mike Pence issued a scathing condemnation of the Maduro regime in Venezuela and stated one of the most stunningly blunt statements in the history of the U.N., looking directly at him and telling him, “With all due respect, Mr. Ambassador, you shouldn’t be here. You should return to Venezuela and tell Nicolás Maduro that his time is up.”

The Vice President began his speech by noting that Article 24 of the U.N. Charter confers on the Security Council the “responsibility for the maintenance of international peace and security.” He quoted President Donald Truman telling Congress in 1947 of the U.N., “The United Nations is designed to make possible lasting freedom and independence for all its members.” Pence said, “It is why this institution exists.”

Then vice president Pence described in detail the regime led by Maduro and its devastating effect on his country.

“For six long years, the people of Venezuela have suffered under the heavy hand of oppression. The Maduro regime’s socialist policies have shrunk their economy by nearly half. In what was once one of the wealthiest countries in our hemisphere, 9 out of 10 people now live in poverty. The average Venezuelan has lost more than 20 pounds through deprivation and malnutrition. Thousands of Venezuelan children are starving. And at this very hour, infants in hospitals across Venezuela are dying for lack of basic medical care.” said Mike Pence.

“And the Maduro regime, in the midst of this deprivation and suffering, has used violence and intimidation against anyone who opposes their actions. In the last three months, the regime has thrown at least 1,255 people into jail, without any due process of law, and killed at least 40 protestors. That’s the nature of the regime that we’re dealing with.” he added.

After describing how the situation has triggered a mass exodus of the Venezuelian people, the Vice President continued: “And the truth is, those who stay behind are subject to crime, violence, and lawlessness. Thieves in Venezuela don’t rob banks; they rob restaurants for food. Vicious gangs and so-called colectivos have turned the streets into warzones. And Venezuela now has the highest murder rate in the world, as more than 70 people are murdered every single day.”

He also pointed out that criminals and terrorists such as members of Hezbollah have seized the opportunity to “gain a foothold in the region and export crime and violence.” Pence then spoke of the legitimacy of the National Assembly recognizing a new leader: Interim President Juan Guaidó, a move supported by the United States and 54 other nations.

The Vice President shed some light on how Cuba and Iran prop up the Maduro regime, then stated, “Up to this point, while other international bodies have acted, the United Nations and this Security Council have refused to act. But now that nations across this hemisphere have spoken, the time has come for the United Nations to recognize Interim President Juan Guaidó as the legitimate President of Venezuela and seat his representative in this body. This body should revoke the credentials of Venezuela’s representative to the United Nations, recognize Interim President Juan Guaidó, and seat the representative of the free Venezuelan government in this body without delay.”

Then, the stunning moment: Mike Pence paused for a moment, looked directly at the ambassador and said, “With all due respect, Mr. Ambassador, you shouldn’t be here. You should return to Venezuela and tell Nicholas Maduro that his time is up.”

The ambassador smirked and shook his head.

Pence continued, “It’s time for him to go.”

The vice president then turned to the entire Security Council, “Members of this Security Council: The men, women, and children in Venezuela are suffering. Their economy has been destroyed. Their democracy has been destroyed. The people of Venezuela are paying the price. And soon, the region and the world will pay the price if we fail to act. There can be no bystanders to this history. For the peace and security of our hemisphere, the world and the United Nations must stand with the people of Venezuela. To that end, the United States is preparing a resolution recognizing the legitimacy of the government of Interim President Juan Guaidó. And today, we urge every member of the Security Council and all U.N. member states to support this resolution.” Watch the beginning of the video on the link bellow.

“History has taught us what happens when the civilized nations of the world allow oppression to go unchecked. When a brutal dictatorship arose in Europe, the world failed to respond. Millions of lives were lost in the Second World War. This very institution was forged in the aftermath of that war so that nations around the world could come together and confront dictatorship with one voice. And so the United States is calling on the United Nations to live up to its very purpose: Reject the failed leadership of Nicolás Maduro, and stand with us, stand with nations across the world and across this hemisphere to help the people of Venezuela forge a brighter future.” he concluded.
