Lindsey Graham Shuts Down Dick Blumenthal After He Threatened Don Trump Jr With Prison

Sen. Dick Blumenthal in an unnecessary escalation dramatically raised the stakes with a threat to put Don Trump Jr in prison.

“If he fails to answer, he ought to be put in jail. If he fails to comply with a lawful subpoena, he has no privilege. Prison is the only answer,” claimed Blumenthal.

South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham didn’t wait long to respond to the Connecticut Democrat, as his remarks reached Twitter in no time.

“If I were his lawyer I wouldn’t put him back into this circus. The freak show in the house, I’m not gonna let it come to the Senate so we gave Mueller two years and $25 million and it’s over for me.” Said Lindsey Graham on Sen. Intel Trump Jr. subpoena.

Don Jr seems to also agree with this. His team released a short and biting statement addressing the issue.

“Don is a private citizen, who has already been cleared by Mueller after a two-year investigation. He has done 8-9 hours of testimony in front of Senate Intel already and 27 hours of testimony in front of various committees in total.”

“When he originally agreed to testify in front of the Senate Intel Committee in 2017, there was an agreement between Don and the Committee that he would only have to come in and testify a single time as long as he was willing to stay for as long as they’d like, which Don did.”

“Don Jr. continues to cooperate by producing documents and he is willing to answer written questions, but no lawyer would ever agree to allow their client to participate in what is an obvious PR stunt from a so-called ‘Republican’ senator too cowardly to stand up to his boss Mark Warner and the rest of the resistance Democrats on the committee.”

Don Trump Jr. also issued a series of cryptic tweets making his feelings clear. From The Daily Wire:

The first is a tweet by Republican Rep. Kevin McCarthy (CA), who wrote in response to the Axios story: “DonaldJTrumpJr has already spent dozens of hours testifying in front of Congressional committees. Endless investigations—by either party—won’t change the fact that there was NO collusion. It’s time to move on. It’s time to focus on ISSUES, not investigations.”

Trump Jr followed that retweet with another of McCarthy telling Democrats: “The Mueller Report is done. Let’s move forward. With the strongest economy that we’ve seen in 50 years, now is the time to work together to solve actual problems.”

Trump Jr.’s next retweet was Republican Sen. Rand Paul (KY), who tweeted in response to the Axios report: “Apparently the Republican chair of the Senate Intel Committee didn’t get the memo from the Majority Leader that this case was closed…”

Trump Jr. also highlighted a tweet from Judicial Watch’s Tom Fitton blasting the Intel Committee chair for letting Democrats run it: “DonaldJTrumpJr subpoenaed by Senate committee for further testimony on fake Russia story. More harassment of @RealDonaldTrump world. Senate Intell Committee effectively being run by minority.”

WATCH: AG Barr Breaks Silence – Mocks Nadler & The Democrats Over Contempt Charge

Attorney General William Barr broke his silence after House Democrats, led by Jerry Nadler, held him in contempt.

This unprecedented step had only been taken once by Congress, when Eric Holder and Obama refused to turn over information on Fast and Furious.

The difference is that the GOP Congress tried to negotiate for two years before taking the drastic step of holding Eric Holder in contempt.

AG Barr joked on the subject on Thursday during a farewell ceremony for his Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, as reported by The Washington Post.

“You like records,” Barr said at the Justice Department event, referring to Rosenstein. “This must be a record for an attorney general being proposed for contempt within a hundred days of taking office.”

After the Justice Department defied a subpoena to hand over special counsel Mueller’s unredacted report for the Russia investigation, the House Judiciary Committee voted to cite AG Barr for contempt of Congress, but did so along party lines. Meanwhile, the White House asserted executive privilege over Mueller’s findings.

Republicans voted against the contempt resolution, arguing that the Dems only intend to drag out the Mueller probe, which found no criminal conspiracy between the President Trump’s campaign and Russia, but made no determination about whether President Trump tried to obstruct the investigation.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, spoke for the press and told them that the United States is now in a “constitutional crisis.”

As Fox News reported, Nadler took a very different stance on contempt in 2012, when House Republicans took the same step against then-AG Holder for refusing to hand over documents related to the Fast and Furious gun-running scandal.

“Just joined the #walkout of the House chamber to protest the shameful, politically-motivated GOP vote holding AG [Eric] Holder in contempt,” Nadler tweeted in 2012.

He joined more than 100 Democrats in walking out over the vote to hold the Obama-era DOJ leader in contempt.

Then-House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, argued House Republicans were more politically motivated in attacking Holder than driven to get to the bottom of the failed operation.

“What is happening here is shameful,” said Nancy Pelosi.

2020 Democratic Candidates Join Forces To Tear Apart Trump’s Tax Cuts That Contributed To the Roaring U.S. Economy

The United States economy is roaring under the economic leadership of President Trump, yet several 2020 Democrats have in plan to tear apart the president’s economic policy, should they take his seat.

President Trump’s domestic economic policy can be summed up to two key goals: cut taxes and cut regulations.

President Trump set a goal to cut two regulations for every new regulation put in place, a goal he has exceeded so far during his presidency.

Back in 2017, Republicans passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act with a focus on scaling back the corporate tax rate which at the time was the highest in all developed world. Many individuals also saw a cut in their taxes, much to the chagrin of the New York Times.

This administration’s policies have contributed to job creation, record low unemployment, and rising wages.

Since the passage of the Jobs Act and Tax Cuts, unemployment rates for women, Hispanic and black Americans, and veterans saw record lows. In April, the unemployment rate hit a 49-year-low.

With historically low unemployment, and as the labor market becomes more competitive, american workers are coming off the sidelines and are seeing their wages grow.

The White House Council of Economic advisers credited the President’s economic policy for the sudden eruption of our country’s economy following the record-breakingly slow economic recovery under former President Obama. They also warned that a repeal of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act could set back the U.S. economy.

Still, several Democrats are vowing to repeal the tax cuts if they win the election in 2020.

Former Vice President Joe Biden told his audience of primary voters that repealing the “Trump tax cuts” is one of the first things he would do if elected. He claimed that returning the corporate tax rate to a global-high would allow more money to pay for his other pet projects.

“You know, people say ‘well Joe, how [are] you gonna do all this?’ Well, guess what. The first thing I do is gonna repeal this Trump tax cut,” said Biden, adding, “Oh, [it’s] not a joke.”

Senator Bernie Sanders is going to need as much tax revenue as possible if he plans to deliver on his promises for “Medicare for All,” tuition-free college, and his other socialist promises. One way he is planning to get the money is by repealing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act so the corporate tax rate returns to it’s previous level.

Mother Jones reported that Bernie Sanders sees returning the tax rate to a higher level as a great opportunity to make money. He addressed the tax cuts as a “massive giveaway to Wall Street, wealthy Republican campaign contributors, and many large, profitable corporations” — despite the fact that most middle-class Americans are also receiving a tax cut.

Senator Kamala Harris vowed to “get rid of the whole thing” in reference to the President’s tax cuts. She promised to return the corporate tax rate to a higher level and use the money to fund some of her many initiatives.

Harris claimed that repealing the tax cuts would be her top priority, telling a crowd of primary voters, “On day one, we’re going to repeal that tax bill that benefited the top 1 percent and corporations.”

Elizabeth Warren was pushing to have the corporate tax rate returned to a higher level long before she had even entered the 2020 race.

In an interview on CNBC from July 2018, Warren claimed that she “really want[s] to see them rolled back.” She said the tax cuts were just “bread crumbs” to the American people.

“Here’s how I look at budgets and taxes are at the heart of this. A lot of people think they’re just numbers; they’re not. They are the expression of our values. The values of the Republican Party that passed those tax cuts are to give $1.5 trillion away to the richest Americans and the biggest corporations, and let everybody else pick up the crumbs.” said Warren.

Senator Cory Booker is also in step with his colleagues who see a repeal on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as a pool of money that should be returned to Congress.

Although he hasn’t yet called for a full repeal, he has called for a partial repeal of the portion of the bill that limited the estate tax.

Booker hopes to use the tax money for a redistribution program that would set up a treasury bond for newborns to help them financially when they reach adulthood.

Despite the record-breaking success of this administrations economy, it is clear that 2020 Democrats see a better way forward by returning to the stagnant tax policies of the Obama-era.

‘I Will Not Yield!’ Jim Jordan Draws The Line – Goes Off On Nadler & The Dems For Attacking AG Barr & Covering Up Spygate

Congressman Jim Jordan refused to back down to Chairman Nadler during a hearing on Wednesday and his rant over it was epic.

Congressman Jordan, a minority member of the House Judiciary Committee, went off on Democrats for holding AG Barr in contempt of Congress for following the law.

“Bill Barr is following the law and what’s his reward? Democrats gotta hold him in contempt,” said Jordan arguing that the Dems just want to destroy AG Barr because they are afraid of him after he claimed that, “spying did occur.”

“He’s [Barr] going to get to the bottom of everything — he’s going to find out how and why this investigation started in the first place.” said the Ohio lawmaker.

Chairman Nadler tried to interrupt Jordan as the Congressman pointed out that AG Barr used the term “political surveillance.”

Rep. Jordan wasn’t having it. “I will not yield!” Jordan said and continued with his tirade.

On Wednesday, President Trump asserted executive privilege over the full, unredacted version of Robert Mueller’s report and the House Dems voted to hold Attorney General Barr in contempt of Congress for refusing to give Congress the full report and underlying grand jury material.

The Judiciary Committee, controlled by the Democrats, chaired by Rep. Jerrold Nadler, held a vote on Wednesday and voted on party lines — 22 Dems to 12 Republicans.

The measure will then move to the full House for a vote later this month.

Republican Congressman Jim Jordan is correct on this. The Democrats are afraid of AG Bill Barr because unlike his predecessor, Jeff Sessions, he is about the rule of law and will not cower in the face of screeching Dems.

WATCH: Nancy Pelosi Claims ‘Jails Will Be Overcrowded If We Start Arresting Trump Officials’

This Wednesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joked about jailing Trump officials while speaking at a Washington Post Live event.

Robert Costa, WaPo reporter, asked Nancy Pelosi if she could hold Mnuchin in contempt after he refused to hand over President Trump’s tax returns.

The Dems have been gunning for President Trump’s taxes so they can selectively leak information to damage his reputation.

On Monday, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin formally rejected the Democrats request for President Trump’s tax returns, yet someone leaked the President’s tax documents to the New York Times anyway.

Now many far-left reporters are asking if Steve Mnuchin should be imprisoned for following the law — this is where we are as a country now.

“How far could you go on that front, Speaker Pelosi? Could you hold the Secretary of Treasury Steven Mnuchin in contempt? “Robert Costa asked.

Some Democrats have even raised the prospect of arresting the Treasury Secretary if he does not comply with congressional demands,” he said.

“We do have a little jail down in the basement of the Capitol,” Nancy Pelosi said to the audience in laughter.

“But if we were arresting all of the people in the administration, we would have overcrowded jail situation and I’m not for that,” she continued.

Currently there is no law the dictates a US president/presidential candidate must release their tax returns, but the Dems don’t really care about laws — they just want to harass the President.

Since we are on the subject, why won’t Nancy Pelosi release her tax returns so Americans can see how she became one of the wealthiest members of Congress on a meager salary.

Nancy Pelosi and her husband have a combined net worth of more than $100 million.

Maxine Waters Demands AG Barr To Resign Or Be Impeached: ‘He Needs To Go’

On Tuesday, Rep. Maxine Waters appeared on MSNBC’s “All In” and said, in light of The Washington Examiner Post’s report that Robert Mueller told AG William Bar his summary “didn’t fully capture the nature, context and substance” of the probe, Barr should resign or be impeached.

“I think that Barr should resign. If he does not resign, he should be facing impeachment proceedings also.” said Maxine Waters.

“He has abdicated on his responsibility. He’s lied. He has used the very words coming right out of the president’s mouth, no collusion, no collusion, no collusion, and made a decision that despite what the counsel put into that report about obstruction of justice, he said he made the decision that he had not obstructed justice” she continued.

“It is outrageous, and he needs to go.” Rep. Maxine Waters concluded.

The California Democrat trashed AG Barr even before the report was released. On the eve of Special Counsel Mueller’s report being released to the public, Waters called the attorney general “a lackey and a sycophant” for President Trump.

Last month, Waters attacked AG Barr during a speech at a Woman’s National Democratic Club dinner.

“I know that you are all worried about the special counsel and the fact that we have a report that has been described to us in a letter by the attorney general. We don’t know what’s in the report yet, and we’re going to demand it.” she said.

Nancy Pelosi Vows That Democrats Will Respect Results Of 2020 Election If President Trump Wins – ‘That Is Not Who We Are’

This Tuesday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pledged that Democrats would respect the outcome of the next presidential election if President Trump was re-elected for a second term.

“Oh, I think we have to respect the vote of the people,” Nancy Pelosi claimed while addressing the audience at Cornell Club in New York.

“Winning an election is a decision,” she continued. “You decide you’re going to win, and therefore, you make every decision in favor of winning.”

President Trump notably refused to say if he would accept the 2016 election’s outcome, which sparked outrage among the left. However, since he won the presidency, Democrats have frequently contended that his win was not fair and that the election was stolen from his opponent Hillary Clinton.

“We respect the vote of the people,” Pelosi said. “I’m not sure that President Trump would have respected the vote of the [2018] election if we had won by a few seats, by a few votes — he would have challenged the whatever it is. But that’s not who we are. Yes, if he wins.”

Failed Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams also claims that she won her 2018 election, after losing by almost 50,000 votes. She conceded that she is not currently the governor of Georgia, but only because of racist voter suppression.

On Wednesday, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris echoed Abrams’ claims, saying that Abrams, along with failed Democratic Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, both “would be the governor” if their respective elections were fair.

There has been no evidence to support Harris’ or Abrams’ claims.

“We have to make a decision that [Trump’s] not going to win and that decision some times has an unease for some people who may want to go way in one direction or the not.,” said Pelosi. “But rather than saying we just have to win, true to our values, so that we can do so many good things for the American people.”

“But no, we have to respect the results of the election,” she added. “I don’t believe [Trump] would have.”

Mitch McConnell Declares ‘Case Closed’ – Claims Dems Are Going Through 5 Grief Stages

This Tuesday, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell took to the Senate floor and declared the Mueller investigation “case closed.”

He began by noting the Robert Mueller’s investigation brought change and progress in regard to election security, even going into the 2018 midterm elections.

“But speaking of serious, seriousness is not what we’ve seen from the Democratic Party in recent days. Not serious. What we’ve seen is a meltdown, an absolute meltdown, an inability to accept the bottom line conclusion on Russian interference from the special counsel’s report which said the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired or coordinated with the Russian government in its election interference activities. That’s the conclusion.” he sad.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell also noted that the conclusion had been treated like a known quantity by many as the investigation progressed.

“Two years of exhaustive investigation and nothing to establish the fanciful conspiracy theory that Democratic politicians and TV talking heads had treated like a foregone conclusion,” he added. “The special counsel’s finding is clear. Case closed. Case closed.”

McConnell then stated that the cases’ conclusion was good news for America, but that Democrats didn’t appear to be taking it very well.

“My Democratic colleagues seem to be publicly working through the five stages of grief. First stage is denial. Remember what happened when the Attorney general released his preliminary letter describing the special counsel’s bottom line legal conclusion. Immediately — denial. Immediately totally baseless speculation that perhaps Attorney General Barr hadn’t quoted the report properly.” he said.

The next stage, McConnell continued, was anger — anger that “our legal system will not magically undo the 2016 election for them.”

McConnell went on to claim that the Dems were “angrier at Bill Barr for doing his job than they are at Vladimir Putin.”

“They are grieving,” McConnell concluded. “They are grieving that the national crisis they spent two years wishing for did not materialize. But for the rest of the country, this is good news. Bad news for the outrage industrial complex. But good news for the country.”

Dan Bongino Rips Hillary After She Claimed Last Election Was ‘Stolen’ From Her

Former Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton is at it again. She is in tears about how the last election was “stolen” from her.

Hillary gave a “warning” to her fellow Democratic Candidates for 2020 that they can run the perfect campaign and “still have the election stolen” from them.

Fox News contributor and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino blasted Hillary Clinton by pointing out that SHE was the one who colluded with Russia and she is STILL the one who should be investigated.

Bongino appeared on “Fox & Friends” on Monday ripped Hillary, wondering, “Is there a politician with more temerity anywhere than Hillary Clinton?”

“Hillary Clinton’s team literally, not figuratively – ‘literally’ is the most overused word in the English language, not in this case — literally paid foreign spies to gather information from Russians to use to attack Donald Trump in the FISA court during the campaign,” Bongino said.

“And she’s now complaining that the election was stolen from her? I mean, the gall, the nerve on Mrs. Clinton.” he said in surprise.

“And I just wish more networks would do what we’re doing and stick to the facts on this case and start asking the questions about the REAL collusion. Why did Hillary’s team collude with Russian intelligence to feed information to our law enforcement. It’s a simple question.” he added.

Dan Crenshaw Slams Joy Behar On Live TV After She Called Trump ‘Unpatriotic’

This Monday, Joy Behar went into full Trump and Trump supporter bashing mode. Thankfully, Dan Crenshaw was on set to shut her down.

“The View’s” co-host said on that Republicans who support President Trump should take off “those flag pins” because the president’s behavior regarding Russian meddling is “unpatriotic.”

Rep. Dan Crenshaw explained that he doesn’t necessarily support Trump’s “character flaws” and reminded Americans that he has personally called for civility in the past. But the anti-Trump talk show star declared that Trump’s issues go beyond insulting rivals.

“It isn’t just that. Let’s talk about, you know, the fact that he met with Putin for 90 minutes… and never once brought up the fact that Russia, Russia interfered in our election,” said Behar.

“And he never brought it up. How is it that the Republican Party, your colleagues, can stand by this man when he is involved in this way with Russia?” she continued.

I said last week I don’t want to see any of those flag pins anymore on Republicans who don’t stand up against this guy for Russian meddling, and other things that he’s done. It seems as though he’s unpatriotic. What do you say to that?” she added.

Rep. Dan Crenshaw told Behar that she was “overstating it” and said the specific conversation was regarding Venezuela.

“I will give you this. The president has a bad habit of repeating what Putin says to the public,” Rep. Crenshaw conceded.

“He shouldn’t do that. But he also has a pretty good habit of taking actions and putting policies in place that are vehemently counter-Russia.” Crenshaw explained.
